Chapter 16 - the Scrutiny

Young as she was, she started learning from her parents that true love is forgiving.

"They're cute lovers. Our parents are cute lovers." It was only in the mind of Lizbeth Mae Ayo Lacandula

She was planning to go to a supermarket for their supplies but she forgot to ask permission from her parents

She was already at the foot of the stairs when she turned about toward the study room again. She knocked for them to know her entry.

She found them on their same position, who were still seated facing each other but both of their eyes were on the floor.

"Dear parents, What are you both looking down at the floor?"

She was able to break the tension and hesitance of Leonor in the air. She smiled at the joke of their daughter.

When he glanced at his husband he was smirking and at the same time winking to their daughter.

She diberately picked up her slipper and threw it to Kenneth. The latter was best in catching that's why he was not hit with it.

"Mommy, what's wrong with you?

That was a minor physical injury. And...

Wait... That is a case against Republic Act 0210 known as VAM."

"Anak' there's no such R. A. like

that. What is VAM, by the way?"

"Violation Against Men which you've just committed before my eyes."

Leonor's face was crimson in embarrassment and a smile to her daughter's joke that she was holding.

"I understand, you have something to tell us. What is it?" Kenneth tried to distract the teasing between his wife and his daughter.

"Oh yeah. I and my brothers would

go to the nearby supermarket for our supplies."

"Okay. Permission granted. Go to our bedroom and get my card in my wallet. I put it in the first drawer of the night stand."

"Thanks, dad. No need of your card. I have mine."

"Oh, you do? But that's your saving."

"It's alright dad. I can always ask from both of you if I have zero account."

"Mom, here's dad. Dad, your sweetheart is waiting for your hug and kisses."

Her mom picked up the other pair of slipper, stood up and walked toward her daughter to hit her.

Lizbeth dashed out of the study room, laughing loudly.

Leonor was unable to chase her daughter as she was caught by Kenneth

encircling her waist with his strong arms.

At first, she was indecisible to apologize. So, she forced to remove his arms around her waist. But when Kenneth unexpectedly pulled her head and quickly devoured her mouth, she became immobile.

He let him kissed her without being

reciprocal but when her husband touched the secret weakness spot in her body, she gave up her struggle and kissed him back.

The kiss lasted for several minutes

which was interrupted by the apology of Leonor. Kenneth stopped kissing her

to allow his wife to say it clearly.

"Hon, I am confused why I had an idea that you were treating me like an idiot."

"Wow! First time to call me hon, huh? I like it." And... he started their second time making out session.

There and then the love making session was non stop until they were called for their dinner.

During dinner time, he kissed all his children. When it was time to kiss his daughter, he intentionally pressed his lips to her cheeks with the sound effect of his lips and a loud 'muwaaa!'

"Thank you, anak."

"Anytime for my sweet parents"

"Dad, our prayer. I'm hungry!" Alken protested.

The prayer before meal was led by Kenneth as he was at their home. Like their usual practice, his first bite was fed to his wife.

The 'hide & seek' family bonding moment followed, then off they went to sleep.

Before sleeping, the husband and wife agreed about the furtive deep penetration investigation by a man whom Kenneth contacted before sleeping that night.

Immediate implementation of dpi- deep penetration investigation started the following day. Agent kardo

arrived at their home with a son who was a year older than Kelly.

They talked for a moment in the study room in Kenneth's study room. When they were done, Kenneth called his children and introduced the son of agent Kardo.

"Children, meet my college school mate and at the same time my best friend. You can call him uncle kardo. This is his son, Junior."

Then he continued...

"Mate and Junior she is 'ate'(a name to address an older sister) Lizbeth Mae, Kelly, and Alken."

They shook hands and heard what the agent's son requested.

"You can call me Jun."

They entertained them at their home. Kenneth and the agent were at the bar at the corner under the stairs while Jun was asked by Kelly and Alken to swim with them to a nearby pool in their subdivision.

It was a confidential agreement that when Kenneth could not avoid entertaining a friend in their house, a maid should be the one to be requested for anything he would be needing.

His wife should be either in their bedroom or elsewhere at their home.

That time, Leonor was busy reviewing and completing the school reports that she would be submitting to the higher ups in the division Office that governs

the school where she headed.

Whereas, Lizbeth Mae was in her room busy on her research study.

Monday morning, Kelly was startled when he found out that Jun was his classmate. He was transferred by his father in their school.

On that day, their friendship had grown closer. They hanged up together, went to the library together, eat at the school canteen together, and became both members of the same varsity team

together.

To cut the long dpi short, they became best friends who shared even the most delicate secret in their lives.

"Jun, can I ask a favour from you?"

"If it is good, why not? If it's the opposite, man! Forget asking me about it." Jun was very honest with him.

While pulling a small plastic envelop from his backpack, he was giving Jun an assurance that it was not bad at all.

"However," Kelly continued talking:

You won't tell anyone about it especially my family. I want this to be a secret."

Opening the plastic envelop he showed a card. Then he whispered to Jun's ear; "Please hand this card to Melly. She's in that shed with a red bag."

Without talking, he got the card

from Kelly and briskly walked toward the

shed where Melly was reading a book.

"Excuse me, Melly. Kelly, my friend asked me to give this to you."

"Kelly? Kelly Ayo Lacandula in section A?"

"You're right. He's there" Jun twisted his body to a side view and pointed to Melly where Kelly was.

Kelly, on the other shed not too far from them, waved his hand to Melly when she followed the direction of the hand of Jun pointing to Kelly.

Melly smiled and waved back to Kelly then, thanked him for the card through a sign language.

That began their togetherness

triangle as Kelly would stop Jun from separating from them, (Kelly & Melly)

when they're strolling at the park in the afternoon after classes, eating in a fast food chain, going to church on Sundays,

conducting a research work in a library,

and window shopping in a mall.

Kelly was very quick in attending to

look after the safety of Melly. For instance, he would always hold her elbow whenever they were crossing the street. This was only one of those gentlemanliness of Kelly to his opposite sex whom he liked.

If at this point of era, the phrase 'photo bomber' was created to describe an uninvited person caught by a camera

of those who were photo shooting, Jun could be also called 'LOVER BOMBER' though, he was wholeheartedly asked by Kelly not to separate from them.

Kelly's secret was not to be alone with Melly to keep them away from temptation to do any drastic prohibited

decision that may badly affect their future.

Jun witnessed Kelly's thoughtfulness to Melly as he never forget to give her flowers on Mondays,

chocolate on Tuesdays, an apple on Wednesdays, an orange on Thursdays, a small bunch of grapes on Fridays. During Sunday afternoon they would eat a slice of pizza pie or any finger foods at any food cubicles in a mall near the church.

From the time he did the regular gift giving to Melly, he had never eaten

his snacks in the school canteen.

Unknown to Kelly all his activities regarding his closeness to Melly were

known to his parents.

When the report of the dpi- deep penetration investigation reached to them, they started to add a little amount to his daily pocket money for hi snacks in school.

Contrary to what they wished for him not to skip his snacks, Kelly saved the excess money after buying his gift to Melly. The amount he was saving was used in his projects and other required outputs.

Kenneth and Leonor did not confront Kelly about his liking to a girl of his age. Neither would they ask him about Melly for they respected his discretion when it comes to attraction

to a girl like Melly.

For this couple, what mattered most was that Kelly was not a gay.

Alas! The scrutiny was triumphant through the employment of Jun, who was the deep penetration investigator of Kenneth and Leonor.
