Chapter 21 - Once They Mistook Him To Be A Gay

Therefore, after two weeks of their stay in his country, they went back home to Lizbeth's country to start building a family of their own.

Meanwhile, Kelly was already a freshman college student who was taking up Business Administration major in management.

Although Mathematics was his forte, engineering course was not to his liking. His plan was to manage the school that his parents put up.

Like his sister, he was allowed to

be a working student as he didn't like to put all the financial expenses for his collegiate training to his parents.

After all those years he had not changed at all when the topic of his family's conversation was about women,

crushes, and love.

He would prefer to be a good listener rather than a conversationalist.

Whatever thoughts in his mind about

those topics, he would just keep them in the remotest part of his brain.

His high regard to his mother and to his sister eventually silenced his mouth about women.

If his father and his brother-in-law was hit by Little Master Cupid at their first sight to his mother and to his sister,

he, too, experienced the same.

Only that he was still very young with the age of fourteen when his heart was struck Bullseye with the very sharp arrow of Little Master Cupid.

It pierced into his heart that instantly wiggled and leaped into the heart of Melly, his true love at first sight

whom he put to a pedestal.

That time in college, Jun who became his best friend could no longer be their chaperon as he went back to

the province to take care of his old & sickly grandparents while taking up Bachelor Science in Agriculture as his course.

With him in a university whose

standard in Business Science in Administration offering Management

as one of its major subjects was separated not only from his best friend but also from his girlfriend.

His girlfriend was enrolled in a university that trained a nursing student

well.

On second thought, he was thankful of their separation caused by

their course preference to avoid them

from being so close that may create friction and... BOOM!.. there might be

a premature marriage between them.

Like his father before, he and Melly

agreed to date once a month and regular text messages should be sent at night

time. To distract themselves from missing each other, they burned their midnight oil.

Kelly did not just focus his time to his studies but also to his part time job.

True to their intention, they did not really miss each other that much.

If they did feel it, it was relieved by the text messages they exchanged in the evening.

Time had flown rapidly like a flying

pigeon. Kelly was already fourth year college when a severe depression hit

him.

He almost died wasting his life to a non-stop liqour drinking but without food in take. Had it not for his family, he wouldn't have regained not only from his fatal situation but also for his being a man who denied himself to go on living.

He had lost his will to live, his will to fulfill his dream, his will to love & care.

He became dissipated, indignant,

and hot headed. He became irrational

when Melly was snatched from him by

another man who was her classmate in

nursing.

He was fortunate enough that in time of his misery his parents were there to help him heal the wound in his heart.

It was so deep that took him so long to move on. Like his wounded heart, his dream was also wounded as it

became stagnant.

To move on, his father would accompany him during his flight once in a while. Although Kelly was not used to gallivanting during his ten hour resting time, he exerted his effort to bring Kelly

to places that would amuse him and distract that he's a broken hearted young

man.

After two long years, he decided to

finish his course and was successful to fulfill it.

However, from the moment that he recovered from his feeling of being deceived and betrayed, he became a problem of Kenneth Allen and Leonor.

He became a number one playboy.

He had treated women as his remote controlled toys that could be turned on

anytime he wanted to play with them.

His soft and warm heart became so hard like an iron and cold as an iceberg. His eyebrow furrowed upon a crying woman kowtowing to him pleading imploringly not to dump her like a trash disposed in a dump site.

Kenneth frequently reminded him

to stop from his newly acquired worst habit. A snort from him was the only reaction that his father received from him.

At twenty six years old he became their own school's director that became

more progressive. The enrollees became thrice as much as its usual

Population.

He had their family's coffer heaped

with treasures. At that point he decided to live on his own in a suite of the hotel he had built as his own business.

If he was an arrogant, domineering,

harsh and a rude boss in his work, at home with his family, he was completely the opposite of it.

He had his routine in visiting them.

During Saturdays, he would spend his whole day playing with his niece to his eldest sister, Lizbeth.

On Sundays, he spent his whole day with his mother and his father at their home. He would cook for them to brag that from the time he lived on his own e he started to develop his skill in cooking.

On weekdays, his half day was devoted to their own school while the other half day was focused to his hotel.

While becoming mature, his physical looks appeared to be more and more handsome and appealing to women like his ex-girlfriend. The more he became alluring, the more better women than her ex gf did he met but... the more victims of his bitter heart he had.

Most often than not, Kelly would remind him that there are two types of

Karma; good karma and bad karma.

"Don't worry Dad, from now on I shall live in celibacy. I don't find them

girlfriend material, anyway."

True to his words, he never had his time to a night life anymore. Instead, he

engaged into planning another hotel to

be built which did not take him long to realize it.

For his past time he decided to learn how to fly an airbus as he was planning to purchase his own aircraft.

It was at this point when he seldom had time to meet his niece and his parents.

As if his accumulation of wealth

was his source of happiness. For him,

he could live without a woman in his life.

It was at this time that his skepticism about falling in-love once when he was still young his real feeling or only to satisfy his boyish pride.

The cause of his skepticism was when he happened to see Melly, his ex girlfriend, with her husband and her two

children.

His heart was unaffected that it never throbbed for her as love sickness nor bitterness. In fact, he took the initiative to go meet and greet them.

It was Melly whose facial expression registered guilt and embarrassment. She seemed to have a contorted face permanently plastered.

She was no longer the sweet and gracious Melly that he knew before. She became unbewitching to him during that

sudden short meeting.

"Was I being judgemental? Has my taste for a woman leveled up? It was a blessing in disguise that she was taken away from me."

All of a sudden he knelt down and prayed.

"Lord, my God, please receive my warmest gratitude from you that you intercede not for me to get married to Melly. Thank you, my Lord."

Finally, his heart had completely moved on. His heavy heart became light like a floating white unstained feather.

When his parents celebrated their 33th wedding anniversary his family was astounded upon his arrival.

They did not expect his attendance just like all the previous gatherings as his alibi of having hectic schedule often

prevailed.

And the mere fact that his presence emitted an overwhelming feeling with joy and contentment, they were truly

astonished and relieved.

He even led the dancing contest,

hosted their family program, sang the

theme song of his father and mother and brought the foods and beverages

that he prepared himself for his parents.

But the most amazing unexpected

announcement that he told them that day was his challenge for his family to

introduce him to a women whom he would choose with to be his woman.

"Could you give us a specific

description of a woman of your preference?" His ate Lizbeth requested.

"Just introduce to me if you know someone and it's me who would determine if we would be meant for each other." Retorted Kelly.

"From tomorrow, the search for a

qualified woman for uncle Kelly's type

begins." Theodore suggested while playing with his daughter.

"Hon, don't you have a teacher in

your school who is still single?" Kenneth, his father asked his mother, Leonor.

"kuya, you don't need us to introduce someone for you to choose with. Why not look around you? In the school you are managing, in those two hotels you owned, they can be your source to look for." Alken reminded Kelly.

"I was just kidding. Forget the announcement I just said. I must find

the right woman for me." He told them

smiling sincerely.
