"Huh?" Ryan got confused for a second.
"My theory got confirmed. That's the proof. You can only drink the blood of a person that you have feelings for. That's why you never felt like drinking anyone's blood," Rose explained happily. "You are a Vampire, Ryan."
"Wait… Hold up," Ryan stopped her right there. "Do you hear how unrealistic it sounds like?"
"For me it makes sense. Shall we prove it?" Rose asked as she picked up a fork from the table but Ryan caught her hand, taking the fork away.
"Are you planning to stab yourself with this? Rose, I'm not a Vampire." Ryan convinced yet Rose didn't look satisfied.
"How else do you want to prove it then? Only when you see my blood again can we confirm it," Rose argued, ready to become the sacrifice for the better good.
"No stabbing, not cutting," Ryan commanded determinately, not letting go of her hands. "I'm sure there is another explanation for my condition."
"Like what?" Rose questioned, showing her cute tongue.
"I'm pretty sure this could be classified as some kind of rare mental illness that causes me to act randomly out of order. I might even be the only one with such condition," Ryan suggested but Rose only rolled her eyes.
"Fine, if you don't want to believe me then we will wait. I will watch from the side as you become a Vampire and we will see who was right," Rose stopped arguing, showing a grin. "I will have a Vampire boyfriend by the end of the day."
"How come?"
"You already drank my blood so now you should finally awaken and become a true Vampire. Usually, your Vampire Gene is hidden within your body, slowly waking up till it finally forces you to drink blood for the first time. This is when you will undergo a transformation," Rose explained in details as if she knew everything.
Ryan was once again speechless.
"I think you should stop reading books about Vampires. You are mixing the real world with the fantasy," Ryan commented as he picked up the cup with chocolate and passed it to her. "Drink some. Maybe you will feel better."
She naturally accepted it, taking a sip but she didn't change her mind.
"It's okay if you don't believe me. You will see it for yourself tonight." Rose stopped the argument, acting really sure of her theory. "Remember to come to me when you need to drink some more blood."
"Alright, let's bet then," Ryan proposed, hoping to profit a bit from her silly act.
"What bet?"
"If I don't become a Vampire by tomorrow, you owe me a wish. I will be able to ask you to do anything within your capabilities and you can't reject me," Ryan explained with a gentle smirk. "What do you think?"
He was sure that Rose will finally give up on her theory but surprisingly, she continued, actually thinking about it.
"What if I win? What will I get?" Rose questioned curiously.
"You can get whatever you want too," Ryan suggested, being fully confident in the win. Anyone knew there were no Vampires in this world.
Rose thought for a bit before replying with a smile, "Okay. Once you become a Vampire, you will promise to love and protect me forever. In perpetuity and in all Universes. You won't be able to leave me until one of us die. Deal?"
Pfft!
Ryan almost choked when he heard her.
"Here I wanted to ask for additional cuddles yet you ask for my life, pulling out a life-long love contract," Ryan commented with a smile but Rose only shrugged.
"You told me I can ask for anything. If you are so confident that you are not a Vampire then there is nothing to worry about, right?"
He watched her smile and suddenly began to question himself, not being that sure anymore. He tried to figure out what she planned from her clever eyes but she didn't give him any clues what so ever.
"Fine." Ryan finally agreed, knowing his chances of losing were basically non-existent. "You will spend the whole day with me today and we will see who won later."
"Hehe, alright. Deal," Rose accepted immediately and grasped his hand. "I promise that if Ryan is not a Vampire by tomorrow, I will agree to anything he asks me to do within my capabilities. If I fail, let the thunder strike me,"
As Rose finished her vow, she looked at him as if waiting to do the same.
"Alright. If I lose this bet, I will love and protect you forever. If I fail—" Ryan promised but Rose cut him off in the middle.
"Psst, in perpetuity and in all Universes," Rose whispered with a smile.
Ryan shook his head and how silly she was but still changed his vow, "…I will love and protect you forever. In perpetuity and in all Universes. I won't leave you until one of us die. If I fail, let the thunder strike me."
Au!
Just as he spoke the last word, he felt as if he got stabbed in the chest, causing him to bend in pain.
"Ryan, are you okay?" Rose quickly asked in panic but the pain vanished as fast as it appeared.
"I'm fine... It was nothing. I think the sweater pulled one of my chest hairs," Ryan explained as he rubbed his chest. He couldn't find a different explanation.
Rose sighed in relief and smirked, "Tsk, men can't handle this little bit of pain. We should do some waxing on you."
"Absolutely not," Ryan rejected firmly yet Rose continued to tease him, patting his knees. "Come on, it doesn't hurt at all."
"No, no, no," Ryan shook his head repeatedly and picked up the chocolate cake, feeding her to change the subject. "Eat your cake. We are still on our date. As we will spend the whole day together, we should go to play somewhere."
"Oh, where you will take me?" Rose asked curiously as he gladly ate the cake from him.
"Let's go to arcade club first then we can eat dinner before going on a romantic walk as I take you back home," Ryan quickly figured out the date plan. "What do you think?"
"Sounds good~"
