Condition Cured?

"Rose, we are reaching our stop…"

Ryan kissed Rose on the forehead and caressed her cheek to wake her up from the short nap she took on the bus. She leaned on his shoulder, hugging onto his arm when she suddenly fell asleep in the middle of their conversation. With how cute she looked while sleeping, he didn't disturb her, lending his own shoulder as her pillow.

He couldn't blame her, knowing their day was quite eventful. They walked a lot, especially after their dinner when they went for a stroll in the park. Even though Ryan didn't find it tiring, Rose wasn't someone who exercised often.

"Mhmm…" Rose murmured, rubbing her cheek against him as if she was a cat. "Did I sleep long…?"

"Less than twenty minutes," Ryan replied, looking at the time on his phone. "How are you feeling?"

Rose stretched, yawning softly and smiled at him, her eyes finally open. "I actually feel so good right now. I regained all of my energy," Rose admitted.

"Hehe, I figured. With how you snored, I knew you had a good sleep," Ryan commented with a giggle, bringing a blush out of Rose.

"I snored…?" Rose asked embarrassed but seeing his smile, she realized he was just teasing her and pouted, hitting him on the shoulder. "I hate you…"

"Haha!" Ryan couldn't help but burst out laughing and pulled her out of her seat as the bus stopped. "Let's go. It's our bus stop."

They were dropped right in front of Rose's villa neighborhood so they weren't far from her home. Her father ordered him to bring her back home at eight so they still had more than twenty minutes to chat. It was already dark yet the street lamps gave them nice visibility.

"You say you hate me so often. I feel sad," Ryan commented as they walked, looking at her pitifully.

"You know I don't mean it…" Rose muttered but seeing he continued to gaze at her with pleading eyes, she stopped and hugged him tightly. "Don't be mad~ I will never hate you."

Ryan couldn't resist her cuteness and finally showed his smile, stating, "Now I feel better. Hugs indeed do magic. You healed me in a moment."

"Only my hugs can do that, hehe," Rose giggled as she released him and pulled him forward.

"I enjoyed today. We should repeat it often," Ryan confessed honestly. "I don't mind spending every day with you."

"Me too. It was fun," Rose agreed eagerly and then pointed out, "You noticed how you didn't lose your control when I hugged you tightly?"

Huh?

He recalled their hug just now and his eyes widened as that was indeed the case. Normally his urges would take control after such hugs yet now he felt nothing.

As if to check it, he leaned over and hugged her once again. She naturally cooperated, squeezing his body as hard as she could and even kissed him on the cheek yet he felt nothing aside from her soft body, her warmth, and sweet perfumes.

"Am I finally fixed?" Ryan asked confused and reached out to her once again, "I think we need to perform some more tests."

"Tsk, you just want more hugs, huh?" Rose snickered and didn't fall for it, stopping him in his tracks. Her smile showed she already had an explanation in her mind.

"I already told you. That condition of yours is not triggered by your lust or desires. It's your Vampire blood that is behind. Now that you finally fed yourself on me, you can control your desires more efficiently," Rose explained as if it was that obvious. "Everything makes sense."

She laughed when she saw his smile freeze and hoped forward happily.

"Okay, hold up…" Ryan's eyes rolled as he ran after her. "I thought we are done with this Vampire's stuff?"

He looked around the street to see if anyone was nearby but thankfully the street was already empty at this hour. If anyone heard them, they would think they are probably insane.

"Didn't we have a bet?" Rose questioned casually. "How else would you explain the disappearance of your urges?"

"Well, definitely not with your Vampire theory. There must be something else that must be causing it," Ryan replied, not really sure himself but Rose pushed further.

"Like what?"

He didn't think of a possible answer yet so he paused, racking his brain. She gave him some time, looking like she waited for him to admit defeat. He recalled one of the conversations they had when they started figuring out his condition and a realization hit him.

"You said earlier that maybe I need to love someone to solve my problem. What if I feel like this right now…?" Ryan asked while looking at the stars.

Rose definitely didn't see that coming as her movements slowed down and her fingers squeezed his hand.

"This is also a valid option to consider…" Rose muttered quietly, not denying it.

If she did, it would mean she didn't want that to be true. He could feel she would clearly pick that option over anything else if she were to choose.

They were already close to her house, seeing the familiar wall so he stopped walking, pulling her into his embrace instead. They hugged for a while without saying anything until Rose suddenly muttered, "I know how we can test it properly…"

"I know it too…" Ryan nodded, lifting up her chin and leaned forward without hesitation.

He could see in her eyes they wanted the same thing.

Mhmm…

Rose didn't complain, voicing out her agreement in the form of a soft, suppressed moan. They kissed so much that day they already learned each other's tastes and the little things that made the experience more pleasurable.

Thud.

The bag he held fell off his hand as he pulled her waist closer, gently warming up her lips with small nibs.

"Does it work…?" Rose asked with her breath swift and arms wrapped around his head.

"I think we need more testing…" Ryan replied, leaning forward for more.

Vroom!

Both of them were ready to continue when the sound of a car approaching reached them, forcing them to separate for a moment. Rose looked behind to see who that was but all they saw were two white lights.

He didn't let her go, waiting for the car to pass when it suddenly slowed down as it came near them. It didn't stop but they were able to see the side of the car clearly.

"It was my dad…" Rose muttered unhappily and pulled away. "I think it's better if I return now. My dad already saw us."

"Hmm, alright," Ryan agreed reluctantly, wanting to spend even more time with her. "At least we know that I'm healed. I'm still myself right now."

"It would be amazing if that was the case. We would be able to kiss and hug whenever we want…" Rose pointed out shamelessly, bringing out a giggle from him.

"Hah, I guess I won't be able to get away from you now that you took a liking to kissing," Ryan teased.

Instead of denying it, Rose embraced her desires and nodded, "Yes, don't even try. You introduced me to kisses so now suffer."

"Sure, I will accept them all," Ryan accepted with a grin and commented, "What's up with our bet? I won, right?"

Being able to wish whatever he wants was really alluring to him.

Rose was quick to shake her head this time, denying, "No, the bet is not over yet. I still have time till tomorrow. If you are not a Vampire till tomorrow morning then you officially win."

"Hehe, you are delaying the inevitable. I don't see any changes in my body," Ryan chuckled, showing his fangs which still had the same size as before.

He didn't know many physical traits of Vampires aside from the prolonged fangs.

"Didn't your condition disappear after you drank my blood?" Rose gave an example before ending the conversation, "Let's just wait and see. I will come to you tomorrow morning to check up on you."

"Alright, fine by me," Ryan agreed without questions, already knowing he had the win in the bag.

"Okay then, it's settled," Rose confirmed it too, looking at him with a smile.

Seeing she still didn't seem like leaving, Ryan suggested, "I think this is the moment when you jump on me and give me a goodnight kiss."

"Hehe, only good boys get goodnight kisses," Rose giggled and started walking away backward, announcing playfully, "I'm going~"

Ryan didn't say anything to that and only smiled softly, reaching out with his arms as if ready to accept her. She walked a few meters away and seeing no reaction from him, she finally ran back, jumping into his arms just as he wished.

Their lips locked once again and Ryan made sure it was a long, deep kiss, knowing it was their last for that day.

"Call me when you reach your dorm safely, okay?" Rose pleaded. "It's already dark. I will worry if you don't call."

"My dorm is really close. I will be back in my room before you take off your shoes," Ryan assured her but she turned serious as she repeated, "Promise me you will call."

She showed her cute, puppy eyes, making him unable to reject her.

"I will call you when I reach my dorm. I promise," Ryan vowed as she wanted which earned him another kiss.

She jumped off him and this time she ran off for real, waving to him cheerfully.

"See you tomorrow~!"

He waved back and didn't move until he made sure she entered her property.

"Gosh, I'm such a lucky bastard…" Ryan muttered under his breath, finding it hard to believe everything that happened to him in the last two days was real.

Rose was just too perfect for him.

He picked up his bag of clothes and walked back to the dorm with a genuine smile on his face, the happiest he has ever been. His legs were even jumping on their own or playing with a pebble as if he played football.

He passed the bench where he met Rose for the first time and said with conviction, "This is my favorite place from now on."

It was already ten past eight when he checked his phone again so he decided to finally return when he paused, looking at his screen confused.

A small red dot appeared on his screen, looking like some kind of a liquid.

Drip, drip.

Two more dots appeared on the screen, making him realize it was actually blood. He reached to his nose to check and sure enough, his nose was bleeding.

"Weird… I never had a nosebleed," Ryan commented confused. "Is this the famous nosebleed from those comics?"

As he made fun of it, the blood began flowing out faster, dripping turning into a small stream.

"What the…" Ryan almost cussed, leaning forward so that he wouldn't stain his new clothes.

He quickly searched for any tissues but naturally, he had none, forcing him to use his shirt from the bag, temporarily blocking the flow. He had no other choice but to open the browser and search up how to stop the nosebleed as he was clueless. He forgot everything his teachers taught him in the first year.

Cough!

Just as the page loaded, something stuck in his throat, making him cough. He got immediately weirded out when he saw something black coming out of his mouth.

Even though the light of a lantern was dim, he could still see black dots mixed with blood on the pavement.

Cough! Cough! Cough!
