Good Grandson

"You are really thirsty. I think it's time to stop."

Busy with drinking, Ryan heard someone talking to him yet he was completely out, unable to comprehend her speech and his body continued following his desires. The only thing he wanted to do was drink more of this sweet red liquid in front of him. Each sip he took sent shivers down his body, giving him so much pleasure and enjoyment.

He didn't stop until a soft hand brushed into his hair and jerked him away, not caring about his comfort.

The lady forced him to look into her red eyes and ordered sternly, "I said it's enough."

His head suddenly exploded as if she just bashed him with a hammer and he woke up from his trance. He looked at his surroundings fully confused and then at Lisa who laid lifelessly in his arms. When he saw her eyes were barely open and his hands were hanging without any support, something squeezed in his chest.

"Lisa…" Ryan muttered her name, slightly panicking. "What did you do to her?!"

He immediately reached out to her neck to check for her pulse but then he froze, seeing two small holes and blood oozing from them. He finally recalled what just happened.

"Me?" the lady asked, pointing at herself. "I thought it was you who just drained her from blood. Was it tasty?"

"I didn't want it! You forced me to do it!" Ryan immediately shouted, all memories coming back to him.

He didn't want any of this yet this lady forced him by cutting Lisa's neck, triggering his instincts.

"I didn't force you to do anything. You wanted to do it yourself. Your body needed blood to finish its transformation. It starts with blood and ends with blood," the lady explained with a shrug. "She was just unlucky to appear while you were transforming. It could be anyone yet fate chose her. Too bad."

As she talked, Ryan already threw his jacket off and took off his shirt, pressing it against her wound yet the blood kept oozing out.

"Lisa, can you hear me?! You will be okay! Just stay strong!" Ryan shouted to her as he rubbed her cheek, trying to keep her awake and laid her on the floor, searching for the phone in his pockets.

"What are you doing?" the lady asked curiously.

"I'm calling an ambulance! If I don't do anything, she will die!" Ryan called out anxiously as he pulled out his phone. "I can't let her die!"

"She lost too much blood. Her heart is barely beating and will stop in less than five minutes. They won't arrive earlier than ten minutes," the lady pointed out, crushing his last hopes only to give him a new one. "There is only one way you can save her and it's not calling an ambulance."

"What is it? Tell me!" Ryan asked desperately, knowing Lisa had little time left but the lady didn't seem to be in a hurry.

"I said there is a way but I didn't say I will tell you. I don't really care if she dies. She is just a human," the lady replied indifferently.

"Just a human?" Ryan repeated. "She is my friend and because of me, she is going to die! How do you expect me to live while knowing I killed her? I have to save her! Tell me!"

He didn't know who the lady in front of him was but that didn't bother him. He guessed she might also be a Vampire that came to help him so he wasn't scared of her.

Seeing she was hesitating, he pleaded once again despite his anger, "Please, I will do anything. Let me save her!"

"Fine… All you have to do is give your blood to her," the lady agreed with a sigh. "You are a Vampire now. Your blood is magical and has amazing properties."

Ryan's eyes widened when he heard her but he didn't hesitate, pulling his wrist up to his mouth, wanting to bite into it.

"Wait." The lady grabbed his arm right before his fangs entered his flesh. "Did you think this over properly? After she drinks your blood, she will no longer be a human anymore. She will become a Half-Vampire that can't live a day without blood. She will also be forever bound to your life, unable to reject any of your commands. Do you want that for her?"

Ryan paused but he decided quickly, slashing his wrist with his sharp fangs. Blood started dripping on his arm yet he didn't feel any pain.

"Even if she hates me later, this is still better than dying," Ryan explained and lifted Lisa's body, putting his wrist up to her mouth and let blood drops drip into her mouth.

He thought she would choke as she was barely conscious yet her eyes suddenly snapped open. Her pupils turned red as she started sucking on his wrists, drinking the blood greedily.

He was shocked but the lady quickly explained, "You became a Pure Vampire thanks to your inherited genes so your blood is special. It's even more potent than the most addicting drugs in the world. The moment your blood dropped on her tongue, it absorbed itself immediately, acting on her brain. She will get addicted to it and the desire to taste it again will always haunt her. I warned you."

Ryan knew she was telling the truth based on how excited Lisa looked. Just a moment ago she was barely alive yet now she was holding onto his arm while eagerly licking the blood off his wrist.

"But she will be alive?" Ryan questioned, a bit overwhelmed by the situation.

"Yes," the lady confirmed. "As I said, she will become a Half-Vampire. Although her life will be tough from now on, she will be alive just as you wished."

"What do you mean?" Ryan asked confused.

He wanted to sigh in relief about Lisa's survival but her words made him worried.

"You think she can live her life as she used to? Once people find out she is a Vampire, she will be hunted down and become a lab rat. With her job and businesses, it's inevitable. Also, there is no way we will let a lone Vampire live outside of our management. Her only choice is to join our family and work for us. Although she will be treated as a servant, at least she will be alive," the lady explained calmly but Ryan was far from calm.

"Damn it!" Ryan cursed, banging against the wall out of anger, causing a big dent.

Lisa worked hard, studied, got the best scholarships, built companies, and became successful despite her young age yet he ruined it all.

No, it didn't start from him.

Ryan looked at the black cloak lady and realized all of his problems appeared today, right after he met her for the first time. She appeared in the restaurant and out of nowhere there was wind, causing Rose to get a cut. Now that he thought about it, with her Vampire abilities, she could hypnotize the waiter and cause the cut which turned him into a Vampire.

"It was you! Back in the restaurant. You started my transformation," Ryan accused, staring into her red eyes.

"Yes, and?" the lady confirmed casually, not really bothered to hide it but it made Ryan even angrier.

"So it's all your fault! I lived a peaceful life, got a perfect girlfriend until you came and now I'm suddenly a Vampire and everything is ruined. You even destroyed Lisa's life! She was running away yet you forced her to come back! It's all your fault! She didn't deserve it!" Ryan yelled, only holding back his fists because of Lisa.

What made him even more annoyed was his relationship with Rose. What will he do with her if he has to leave and live with other Vampires? Unless she becomes a Vampire herself, they won't be able to live together.

"Calm down," the lady called out sternly. "I came because someone had to help you through your transformation. Even without me, you would become a pure vampire any time soon. I may have triggered it earlier but that's because I just happened to have free time so I came back to take you home."

"About Lisa," she continued. "You were at the critical point and she was the closest human. We are in the dorm with most rooms having multiple people. If I were to bring any other nearby human for you, I would need to waste my energy on clearing their memories. I'm not doing that for one poor human."

Ryan was about to argue with her when Lisa stopped sucking on his wrist and looked at him. "Ryan…" she muttered his name weakly, looking around as if she just woke up from a dream.

"Lisa!" Ryan exclaimed, putting the current matter on hold. "How are you feeling?"

He pulled away from his bloodied shirt from her neck and was pleasantly surprised that both wounds after his fangs were gone.

"I—" Lisa was about to speak when she suddenly paused, her eyes slowly closing until she fell asleep, falling on him.

He noticed slender fingers on Lisa's shoulder which belonged to the lady.

"What did you do to her?!" Ryan entered his defensive mode, no longer trusting the lady.

"I just put her to sleep, she is fine. She needs to rest and slowly undergo her transformation later but you won't be there to see it," the lady explained and clicked with her fingers.

Out of nowhere, two people in similar cloaks to her appeared, kneeling behind her.

"Yes, Milady?" one of them asked with a hoarse voice.

"Take the girl to our hideout and look after her. She will go back with us once we are done here," the lady ordered but Ryan quickly disagreed, placing Lisa's behind him.

"She is not leaving my side. I have not even seen your face yet you want to take her away? In your dreams!" Ryan countered, standing up in front of Lisa to protect her.

"Haha," The lady found his actions amusing as she chuckled and extended her hand as if she was passing judgment. "You don't have a choice."

Ah!

His body became stiff when she finished speaking and no matter how much he struggled, he couldn't move. Each time he tried, he felt pain all across his muscles, forcing him to stop struggling.

The two men moved when he was immobilized and walked up to Lisa, picking her up from the floor.

"Mhmmmmmm!"

He wanted to protest but his lips were like glued, silencing his screams.

"Trust me, she will be fine. I keep my promises," the lady assured him as she walked up to him and patted him on the shoulder, "You must have many questions but you must wait a bit for the answers. There are some things that even I can't hurry."

"Mhmm!" Ryan continued to protest, glaring hatefully into her eyes yet she didn't seem to care.

She squeezed his arm and he suddenly felt tired, his eyes heavy. He tried to fight the sleep, keeping his eyes open yet he was slowly failing. The last thing he heard before being engulfed by darkness was the lady's voice.

"Make sure to cherish Rose a lot. She is a good girl that I want as a successor. Be a good grandson and don't mess this up."
