Chapter 47

It was a few minutes before something was happening on the array, people were moving about, making sure that it was cleaned off, it seemed like they were worried about any drop of dirt could be an interference on it. The method of cleaning was a sweep and then moving to do the running with a rag pressed down. Amazingly, they were able to clean it fast enough to get it sparkling in a minute. Nobody seemed to have tried using their personal methods like orbs of fire to dry, or using streams of water to act like a hose.

The curiosity built in him, making him want to see why. And she happily runs through as many as she could, taking in all that she could. Which actually only took the first person, she calls out while running through more of the people still cleaning up. What she stated was something pretty simple, they didn't want to risk accidentally damaging the formation. The water could accidentally put a divot in, having a to deep impression could cause issues. The flames could wind up to strong, causing cracks. The tiles were usually fired at a lot lower heat then could be produced by those trained for fights. The potters usually the last to arrive, so it made sense they were so ceremonial in the care.

It was an almost peaceful and calming sight. The only thing that stood out was the wolfess running through everyone. Her actions were quick runs, that actually made it easy to guess what she was looking for, examining more meals. She spends all the time they cleaned up doing this, finding out about some new animals and types of dishes. He could tell, if she had hands, she would be trying to cook every day.

For her, it seems to end to soon, but they soon clear off the formation. The ones who had been cleaning heading off, going to their own personal tents or homes, quite possibly. She was running through the new meals that she wanted to taste again. The wolf taking time to ignore her, watching a group of men standing right next to the flags. There is an almost palpable sense of seriousness, where they keep their eyes focus towards the center of the formation.

It was a sense of building pressure, strangely, could feel the energy was filling up the center. It wasn't visible, other then a faint shimmer, that starts to build up. A moment after if seems to look like a heat haze, over the whole, as if the ground was highly heated, like a frying pan.

This seemed to be the time to click over, switching over to the image of carts, men and pack animals suddenly appears, as if a current just fell away. Most of the men were sitting around next to the flags, breathing heavily while sweating profusely.

The fact that there is about 5 large wagons, with the animals hooked up. The pack animals were huge, like the size of a ox, there is a huge plated body, taking and protecting the vitals. It seemed like they should be able to crack the ground with each step. The men that arrived with each other, starting to look through each of the carts, there is one that is acting as a lead, bringing out a clipboard and checking off which boxes were there and what had possibly been lost.

The fact that even though it was done so well, there was a possibility to lose things with the teleportation. The men were thorough, the wagons were open topped and only had chests. None of them were opened, but he had the idea that it might be something for a spatial treasure deal. There is a few animals in one wagon that drew the little wolf's eyes. Making him slowly approach the wagon, hopping up the side while the men were looking.

It a strange moment of thought, he realized it is weird that the carts were solid, while he had seen Syren run through men. It was something to try later, but right now, he was looking inside. The men near the cages were careful, not stepping to close, but enough that they have the ability to look in. Each cage is spread out enough to allow for a man to walk between, carefully, without touching the cages.

This set up only allowed for a 6 cages that were pressed against the side of the cart, kept on only by the wooden side with some bands of metal that seemed to be glowing a green. In each cage was a predator, the first pair right near the end. He had no idea what the term was for what would be the tailgate of a wagon. The felines were similiar, they had a red fur that looked like flames, starting to shift around with each breath of them. There is a heat haze from their mouths, and a moment letting out a spark of heat.

The next one on the left was a large scaled lizard, claws wrapped around the bars, trying to scale the cage, with brown scales that were also protecting his stomach, it was strange that the lizard has a very obvious way for a male. He looks to the right, seeing a blue scaled snake, curled up away from the back, trying to be closest to the driver's side, trying to keep away from the heat of the foxes.

The next one raises it's head when he stares in. It was a pitch black rabbit, if there wasn't color behind it, it would make it hard to discern, it could possibly run into a dark cave and disappear. It was strange to know, but the rabbit was able to track him. He couldn't see the rabbit's eyes, but knew exactly where they were. To test, he walks as best as he could, circling the dark hole of a bunny. Each time, she turns towards him, actually hopping towards the bars, he couldn't really see the rabbit's twitching nose, but knew it was trying to look cute.

She was a moment later and presses her nose against the bars. It was a strange action, but it causes the bars to warp, looking like someone had made them out of playdoh, and was starting to slowly pull them out, working to get them as thin as a needle. The bars were brittle, jumping against it and smashing the side. The bunny kept right to his side and jumping next to him.

There was a few men that looked in, but stopped just as suddenly when they see what had gotten out. Just standing on the edge, not wanting to approach, as if there was something that would hurt them on even approaching.

The last cage had something that seemed the direct opposite of the rabbit, a large white creature, it was hard to determine what it was. But it seemed drawn towards the rabbit, it seemed to phase through the bars with it's bright white, hard to look at, fur. He couldn't even try before they pair of bunny and, through a squint, he guessed, a goat, or maybe a pony. Before a flash of light burst out and pulses out over the camp, blinding everyone for a minute.
