Tch, an enslaved human is not a good sign, just what are they doing over there?
I reach down and study the collar, running my claws over its surface. There seems to be some sort of pattern engraved upon the surface... a spell circle? No, it's far too long to be a spell circle. Whatever. I look at the enslaved woman. She's still unconscious, but from what i can tell, she'll live even if i leave her here. But... I'm not taking any chances with her allegiance.
"I'm sorry, but I cant let you live. Perhaps if we met another way, we might have been able to become friends," is all I say before running my tail spike through the bottom of her chin and through her skull, piercing her brain. Her body tenses, and then falls limp. I create a small spell circle on the ground to conjure water, and wash the gore off my body.

I spent about 3 hours burying the girl. Normally I would use an alchemical array to create the effect of burying someone, but doing it by hand just feels... right. I have just as little right to take life as someone else, I just did this because I found them to be my enemies.
"Well, looks like it's time for me to get back home, those kids are probably wondering why I didn't come teach them today," I say to nobody in particular.
-------------------‐------------------------
As I walk back into town, my ears are assaulted by the cacophony of people going about their daily lives, and children playing in the streets. One child runs up to me and hugs my leg.
"Mrs. Alra! You're back!" He jumps up and down while holding my leg.
"Of course I'm back silly, do you really think wouldn't return Jakir?" I rub my horns against his head, messing his hair up a little. Jackir has black hair, grey eyes, and his scales are rather close to looking like obsidian. On the other hand, I have red hair, black eyes, and silver scales. Since I was an orphan, I've always wanted to be part of a family. That kinda rubbed off on him and I wound up babying him a bit, but that's fine for now.
After messing up his hair a bit, I noticed it was getting a little late. "Jakir, you might want to go home. Your parents are probably worried about you being out so late."
"Aww... don't wanna!"
"Jakir...."
"....Fine...." And he walked off home. I better sleep too, today was tiring....
As I walked through the streets, I noticed families laughing in their houses while eating dinner. A family was welcoming in cousins and friends for a birthday party this evening it seems. The whole walk back home increased how jealous I was of this village once more. It made me remember how empty I was inside... and that infuriated me...
