Chapter 10 Lilian

Lilian made her journey back to Skyland. Along the ride back with the traders, she thought of Lex, of his power, of how he stopped her assassination. She would report her findings truthfully to her king.

She reached Skyland and walked through the castle doors. She walked down the long hall towards the waiting king. She bowed her head down, close to the floor.

"Lilian..." the King warn, his voice tense. "You know you don't have to do this."

Lilian took in a sharp breathe, "but I do."

The king sighed as Lilian straighten up from her bow.

"I have learned from RA that they have sources everywhere. There main, and biggest, force is in the capital." Lilian said, her voice only filled with seriousness. "They also have a man there. Now this man is special. He was able to stop my assassination attempt-"

"Wait! Why would you try to assassinate someone who isn't a target?!" The king interrupted, he was both furious and curious.

Lilian looked down as she felt heat rush up to her cheeks in embarrassment. She honestly had no good reason to do what she did.

"I-I don't know," Lilian emitted. "But I had the urge that he was dangerous and acted on my own."

"Very well," the king said as he look thoughtfully at the ceiling.

"So, as I was saying, he's dangerous. To us, but also to his own kingdom. We need more of him. We need him." She hated what she was saying but she continued. She took a deep breath before she continued. "He has an ability... he can control air. He's training this skill. He was able to stop my knife from slitting his throat. He's dangerous! But we need him!"

She was starting to get emotional. She hated him, yet she had to rely on him. Why was the world like this? She forced herself to breathe. In. Out. Steadily, she breathed.

She looked the king in the eyes, took a deep breathe, and said, "we need him," in the most steady voice she could manage.

"Alright then, it seems this man is going to have a free vacation in Skyland."

Lilian smirk.

~~~
Before she left the king, he gave her a new assignment. She was to assassinate one Cameron Rick. He was fat and looked similar to a pig. She definitely won't let that inside her.
She watched her target flirt with a not interested girl. Lilian would occasionally look around at the other men.
She lifted up her drink off the bar, and took a deep drank and slammed the empty cup back on the bar. She pushed herself off the stool and made her way over to her target.
She was obviously a little drunk but she'll function just fine. The small buzz in the back of her head kept her focus and alert, although it made her lightheaded.
She pushed herself through the crowd of people in the bar till she made it till the booth he was sitting in. She slid next to him, then put her leg over his. Her dress revealed part of her thigh and the rest of her leg.
She placed her hand on his chest and put her head close to his. She moved to whisper in his ear, her lips almost touching his ear, she whispered, "why don't we go out back and have a little fun, big boy?"
She started moving her leg closer to the top of his leg. She made circles with her fingers on his chest, a small smile spread on her face.
Then her face was roughly grabbed and she found herself staring at his face before she was roughly kissed.
He tasted disgusting!
She did her best though. She needed to lure him where she could end him. She slipped her tongue in and explored his mouth. She hated herself for trying her best, but she had to.
Their lips moved against each other until he finally pulled away, panting hard. She could feel his heart racing under her hand. She smirked at him and mouthed the words 'out back now', her mouth formed every sound, slowly, silently, so that he could understand.
Soon he was up dragging her by the hand, thick fingers crushing her's in his grip. He pushed the door to the back alley open and they rushed outside.
She wanted to finish this quickly.
She pinned him to the wall with kisses. One hand pinning his hand to the wall in her own tight, but trained grip. Using her other hand she pretended to be taken off her clothes. She grabbed the knife as her tongue wrapped around his.
In one quick movement she had stabbed him right in the center of his chest. Her hand pinning his down moved to his throat. She choked him and she twisted the knife in his gut. Blood spilled and stained his white shirt.
She smirked, "You think a pig like you could have me?!"
She took her anger out on him, plunging the knife even farther in him as her hand tightened around his throat. He gasped in both pain and desperation as his strength left him. He couldn't fight back, perfect for her.
His legs gave out and he slid down the wall, died on the floor. She left her knife in him, she didn't want it back.
He had wanted a toy, and so had she, in a way. She wanted a toy to take her anger out, and that she did. She pretended that massacred pig was Lex. The thought made her smile as she exited the alley and walked out into the cold, dark, main streets of the city.
