The Art of Creation - Spear Aura Part 4

It was already night, but it will be the long one - the night here was half a week on Earth. However, that doesn't hinder anyone from doing what they normally do because the night was as bright as the day but the mood was different. Depending on various circumstances and the concentration of the Spirit Energy, the night could be refreshing, calm, turbulent and sometimes there was lightning flashing in the sky, jumping between the clouds.

Asura Ryuu held his spear upright, pointed towards the stars, and watched the changes in the sky with interest. Since old man brought the spears in the afternoon, Asura Ryuu constantly carried it with himself because he felt closeness to the spear for some reason. The feeling was the same one he had with his mobile phone on Earth - he was attached to it.

Silky hair spilled over his shoulder and fell on the roof of the mansion, together with soft breaths that came from the shoulder. There was a girl sleeping on it.

The two were together almost everywhere, be it day or night. Asura Ryuu turned his head and stared at those sharp eyelashes with interest. They would flutter occasionally but were mostly calm, sometimes moved by the wind. Her soft breathing made his heart beat faster. He could only imagine what would happen when they are older.

"She's so cute...", he thought.

"I wonder how she'll look in ten years..."

His eyes drifted to his spear once again, pointing it to the stars. The starlight shone with resplendent light cascading down onto it. The spear was completely black, including the spearhead. Asura Ryuu stared at it for some time, and his eyes suddenly flashed with a new idea. He took the spear tip and pierced his finger, letting his own blood flow down the tip and pass onto the shaft.

That red drop of blood had a faint golden radiance under the starlight and slid down the spear very neatly. As soon as it came in contact with the spear, the spear started trembling faintly and a strange feeling appeared in Asura Ryuu's heart. His heart felt excitement from the spear, as if a child who saw its father for the first time. He smiled awkwardly and placed the spear next to him, but the spear magically vanished.

His heart skipped a beat.

He remembered something and hurriedly felt the space in his Spirit World and there it was, the spear. It's bottom was stabbed in the ground in front of the tree and his tip pointed straight upwards. Around its body was coiled a chain that previously restrained the black claw. The chain was now completely black, as if it absorbed the properties of that claw.

Asura Ryuu felt the spear more carefully and found out that it actually couldn't absorb the energy from the chain. It was the first type of energy the spear couldn't absorb. His eyebrows rose in surprise. The chain completely coiled around the spear's body and in the next moment, it actually merged with the spear!

The chain vanished, and the coiling dragon on the spear's shaft lit up with black resplendence. When one looked at it, he would see the stars along the body of the spear shaft and feel the aura of destruction radiating outwards.

The spear suddenly shone once again and three bloody characters "Harbinger of Destruction" appeared on its body. The blood felt familiar when Ryuu carefully felt it.

"Isn't that my blood?!", he thought in surprise.

The spear radiated an ominous aura of destruction, so Asura Ryuu didn't have the courage to bring it outside right now. He felt that if he wished, the spear would appear in his hand. The surprise this event caused was little, but it still caused happiness to appear on Asura Ryuu's face.

The things he was concerned about were whether the black chain that devoured the claw could be retracted from the spear. As if answering to his thoughts, the dragon on the spear enlarged and separated from the spear. It flew one round in his Spirit World, took the fruit from the Celestial Tree and then shot back to the spear again. The spear retained its previous aura even with the absence of the dragon chain.

Asura Ryuu: "Wait, is it still the chain or is it now a little dragon?"

He was confused and helpless. Those chains were each from his previous lives. It could be said each chain signified a part of his soul that underwent The Curse of Samsara. All of them had a unique color, but the black one actually devoured that claw. He thought, "Would the other eight also devour the treasures from this world?".

As he pondered about this problem, Asura Tenka's eyes slowly opened and saw his form bathed in the cascading starlight. Her small lips morphed into a smile, while her eyes insatiably stared at him, drowned in love. She suddenly noticed that his spear was missing and accidentally moved, which made him turn his head and smile at her.

Asura Tenka: "Where's your spear?"

Asura Ryuu made a troubled expression and extended his hand. She blinked in confusion but caught it with her pale slender hand. In the next moment, Asura Ryuu's Spirit World appeared in her head. She saw the spear with bloody characters on its body.

Asura Tenka: "Harbinger of Destruction? Good name. Wait, did you..?"

Her thoughts came to Asura Ryuu's mind, but there was no need for her to continue, because he understood and nodded his head. She smiled and her words once again appeared in his head: "As expected of you."

Asura Tenka: "You let it absorb your blood, I understand that, but where did that aura come from?"

Asura Ryuu smiled once again and the black dragon came out of the spear, transforming into its original form - the one of a chain.

Asura Tenka: "That's! Isn't that the Chain of Samsara?! Why does it have such aura???"

Asura Ryuu: "Remember that black claw?"

Asura Tenka needed a moment to recall the item in question, then her petite body faintly shuddered.

Asura Tenka: "It... absorbed that thing?"

*nod*

Asura Tenka suddenly felt her heart skip a beat for some reason and her eyes were filled with shock. She then moved her body and took Asura Ryuu's hand along the way.

Asura Tenka: "Let's go!"

Asura Ryuu: "Where?"

Asura Tenka: "To test it! You can't bring it out here, right?"

Asura Ryuu looked at her eyes, that had a tinge of curiosity and impatience, and shook his head resignedly. Both of them appeared in front of the mansion shortly, took the other black spear and disappeared into the forest under the starlight.

Asura Tenka did the same thing as Asura Ryuu and her spear also vanished into her Spirit World, but her Spirit World was much stronger than Asura Ryuu's because she lived much longer than him in complete silence and loneliness before they met. It's understandable why it is that way - furthermore, it'd be strange if it wasn't.

The aura of her spear was different than Asura Ryuu's, because there were no Chains of Samsara nor Celestial Tree in her Spirit World, but under the nourishment of the Spirit Power that had an aura of death, the spear quickly got the same aura.

Both spears had the absorbed blood form their names and light up the avatars on both spears - the bloody dragon and the bloody demon.

Asura Ryuu's spear was called "Harbinger of Destruction", while Asura Tenka's spear got the name: "Advent of Ascension".

Ascension in this case meant eternal rest or in other words - death. The aura of her spear and its meaning was simple: Death.
