it's been two weeks since the Valentine's party. Me and Cameron have gotten much closer but for some reason that doesn't satisfy me. Whenever I'm with Cameron I can't help but want to be more than friends. About what Cameron wants, I'm not sure if he wants to be more.
Laying in bed I suddenly remember the kiss that me and Cameron almost shared. The sudden memorie made my cheeks red. I slapped my face and yelled "Stop thinking of him!" I rolled under my blanket and put my cold hands on my face to cool down the burning. Around an hour later I decided to continue writing a song that I'd been working on since the party. The song was about admitting your feelings and basically a cute way to ask someone out.
Yes the song was for Cameron.
*ding. A phone notification popped up.
- Hey do you want to hang out?🤔 read the message sent from Cameron.
- Yeah, sure I'd love to.What time?😊 I replied.
- 4?
- that's fine! can't wait.
- Will it just be us? I text again
- Yep.
- Ok what we doin?
- It's a surprise...😉
- ...I hate surprises.
- You're going to like this one. Bye gorgeous.😙
- Bye.
I turn off my phone. And I run into my walk in closet. Grabbed a pretty dress and put it on. The dress was a pastel yellow with pink and purple flowers. an hour passed it was now 4 o'clock. I grabbed my song book and started to write down the last sentence of the song. Around 4:10 Cameron showed up. I ran down stairs and before opening the door, I breathed in so It didn't sound like I just ran down two flights of stairs. I open the door to see Cameron in a leather jacket, dark blue ripped jeans and a gray tank top, that defined his 6 pack perfectly. He looked like a bad boy but he wasn't.
"You really dressed up." I said enthusiastically.
"I know, I look awesome." He said jokingly.
"My mom's not home you can come in if you want."
"Yes I would love to see were you grew up."
"Ok" I walk away from the door and continued. "don't let the door hit your ego on the in." I said bluntly.
"You know it's pretty scary, how blunt you are sometimes."
I smiled innocently at him. Making sure to let him no I mean no harm. He smiled back. It gave me goose bumps and a shiver that ran up my spine. He walked in and instantly went to the kitchen.
"Do you want something to eat? I could make you something." I asked.
"Really? That would be great."
I cooked some eggs and bacon, while I toasted some bread. As I cook I could feel Cameron's eye's following me. I finished the meal and passed it to Cameron.
"Breakfast for supper. Hope you don't mind."
"I love bacon. You make me bacon, your now my favorite person."
"Yay that means I'm your favorite person." I said sarcastically.
"You've always been my favorite person. Do you want to go to the Park?" He asked.
"Yeah." I said with no emotion.
While walking to blossom park. Cameron's words ran throw my minds making millions of thoughts that questioned my relationship with Cameron. I look over to Cameron and seen his hand flopping down from his side. I went to reach for it, but I hesitated.
What if he didn't like me like that?
What if he doesn't want to be my friend anymore?
What if was all I was hearing. What if, what if, what if. But then I thought What if he wants me to holds his hand? I reached further out to grab his hand but Cameron grabbed mine instead. His firm grip never once loosened while we walked to the cherry blossom tree. He sat me down at the trunk while he sat beside me. still holding hands we talked about random things like how Cameron's parents are back in town and how I want to pursue a career in music. Cameron stood up because it was getting kind of dark but at the same time he let go of my hand. The warm feeling in Lana's hand disapered as Cameron walked away.
"Arn't you coming?" He said gently. His handsome voice made my heart skip a beat and it was true, just being friends, wasn't enough for her, she wanted more.
"Yeah, I'm coming." She replied whipping away her tears.
