The Train Demon

Hiroto looked at Nezuko's blood as it fell onto the rope that was tied to his wrist that was connected to the man that was inside his dream. The blood began to ignite, causing the rope to burn off.

Hiroto patted her head and said, "Good job, can you do the same to the others?" Hiroto said, pointing to Tanjiro first.

"Mph" Nezuko muffled, nodding her head and walking over to Tanjiro. Hiroto took the train ticket out of his pocket and saw that it was shredded, just as he had done in the dream.

"Nezuko! Burn these tickets if you can!" Hiroto said, showing it to Nezuko. Nezuko followed Hiroto's instructions and started to burn the ropes and the tickets.

Tanjiro was one of the first ones to wake up. Hiroto looked over to where Rengoku was and saw him strangling a girl, but not killing, just choking her. Tanjiro moved to stop Rengoku, but Hiroto stopped him, saying, "Don't, she currently inside the same dream as Rengoku. Whatever she is doing, she should have stopped since Rengoku is restraining her."

Tanjiro nodded his head, saying, "I smell a bad scent coming from the ropes, we shouldn't cut them but use Nezuko's Demon technique."

"Nezuko, burn his rope." Hiroto pointed to Rengoku. Nezuko complied, burning Rengoku's rope then walking over to Hiroto and demanded he pat her head.

"There, good job." Hiroto gave in to her.

"They still aren't waking up, brot-" Before Tanjiro could finish his sentence, the girl that was being choked jumped towards him and slashed her pointed knife at him.

Tanjiro quickly dodged back, as Hiroto moved forward and hit the back of her head, *THUD* causing her eyes to roll up as she was knocked out.

The others that were connected to Inosuke, Zenitsu, Tanjiro, and Hiroto started to wake up one by one. They held their knives up, but Hiroto could see a look of reluctance in their eyes as they brandished them.

"If you're awake, back us up!" A girl said to the others.

The others hesitated, as they didn't want to kill more people, but they had to if they wanted to dream. A man stood up, with tears streaming down his face as he looked towards Tanjiro. The young man lost all his ill intentions after seeing what was inside Tanjiro's dream. Different from Hiroto's, his was a warm and serene dream that made him feel comfortable and warm.

The man that was inside Hiroto's dream looked away as he started sobbing quietly.

Hiroto looked at the group and said, "I know that you all want to be in your dreams, but we have to do our jobs and kill that Demon."

Hearing his words, the people that were wielding knives tensed up and were starting to grow desperate.

"You all have your reasons to want to keep dreaming on, I know I do… but this is reality, you have to come to terms with the real world and accept it. Sorry about this." Hiroto said, looking at the people with a trace of sympathy. They were all desperate to be in their dreams for personal reasons.

Hiroto then moved extremely quickly, causing the people to lose sight of him, then as if one cue they all fell as various smacking sounds reverberated throughout the carriage. Hiroto didn't knock out those that gave up willingly.

Tanjiro turned to the young man that was in his dreams and asked, "Are you alright?"

The man looked at Tanjiro and smiled, saying, "Thank you. Be careful."

"Yes!" Tanjiro shouted out.

Hiroto turned to Tanjiro and said, "Tanjiro, sniff the Demon out if you can. We need to kill it before more people die."

Tanjiro nodded and went to open the carriage door that led to the outside and the opposite carriage. Tanjiro stopped in his footsteps as he clutched his face, "It reeks! The Demon's scent reached all the way here with the wind!" Tanjiro shouted out.

Hiroto nodded and said, "You look after the passengers, I'll go and deal with the Demon at the front."

"But!" Tanjiro protested.

"No buts, the lives of these passengers are important, we can't have them dying to the Demon," Hiroto said.

Tanjiro then nodded, understanding his role.

"Look after Nezuko," Hiroto said, before going outside and jumping onto the roof of the carriage.

As he reached the top, the wind assaulted him and almost caused him to lose his footing as he tried to stabilize himself. 'Damn, the train's moving so fast that the wind is pushing me back.'

Hiroto had to get used to the wind as he started running on top of the carriages, jumping from one to another as he reached the end of them. At the front, he saw an incredibly pale young man wearing a suit with his back facing him. The man's hair was black with the tips being red, swaying in the wind as Hiroto approached him.

The man, having sense Hiroto, turned around to face him. In his eyes, Hiroto with his enhanced eyesight saw that his left eye had the kanji for 'Lower Moon One' and the right eye was a horizontal line, signifying the number, one.

Hiroto drew his sword as the man spoke up with veins bulging, "You should be grateful that I showed you such a pleasant dream. I could've shown you a different one, a dream with your family being slaughtered!"

Hiroto's hands tightened at the man's words as he gripped his sword.

"Maybe I should have shown you a dream where your father kept dying over and over again!" The Demon laughed out loud.

Hiroto's eyes immediately narrowed at the Demon's words, as he launched himself, causing the roof of the carriage to cave in where he was standing.

As Hiroto raised his arm, the Demon saw that he was wearing the bracelet that Muzan described.

'Kill a Pillar and the two boys with the hanafuda earrings and an onyx bracelet. Then, I will give you more of my blood.' Muzan's voice rang out as the Demon remembered back to the time he was summoned to a meeting.

'Ahhh! Lucky me! You came to me, saves me the trouble of finding you!' The Demon thought as he raised his hand towards Hiroto, showing the back of the palm. On it was a mouth that spoke out, "Go to sleeep."

Hiroto stopped in his tracks, as the drowsiness and dizziness assaulted him. But a moment later, he shook it off and regained his same state.

"What, why aren't you asleep?" The Demon said, raising his palm again, as it kept shouting out. "Sleep. Sleeeep. Sleep."

However, no matter how many times the hand spoke Hiroto never fell asleep again. In the spell, Hiroto was shown the bodies of his family as they looked up and kept saying how he failed them and that it should have been him who died instead.

"I'm going to slaughter you!!!" Hiroto screamed out in anger, as he wielded his blade up with fire trailing along with it. 'Dance of the Fire God, Burning Bones!'

Hiroto swung his sword in a circular slash towards the Demon's neck. The Demon didn't react and just sneered back.

*shing* The blade traveled through the Demon's neck, cutting it off entirely.

"Agghhh!!" The Demon screamed, not expecting there to be damaged caused to him. The body that he was inhabiting wasn't his real body, so no matter what he shouldn't have been damaged by an attack.

Hiroto's red sword glowed, as the flames on his sword began to seep into the blade and increasing its temperature, causing it to glow bright red.

'What… Why do I feel so much fear for him? No, this isn't me, but the blood from 'him' reacting.' The Demon thought as he stared at the red Nichirin Blade in Hiroto's hands.

Hiroto turned to the Demon and saw that it wasn't disappearing as it should be.

"That person told me to kill you two, the bracelet and earring boy. I didn't understand why he wanted me to do so, but after seeing you, I feel as though your very existence makes me twitch in anger." The Demon said as flesh started to grow from the back of its head and attach to the carriage.

"Hahaha, you must be dying to know why I'm not dead yet since I had fun in your dream I'll let you know, that isn't my actual body anymore hahaha." The Demon mocked Hiroto.

"Not even this form is my real body, I wonder how you will react when I tell you that… I fuzed with the whole train! Hahaha!" The Demon yelled, relishing in the shock on Hiroto's face.

"Hahaha, I love that expression!" The head yelled out, "All 200 people on this train are going to be food for me, strengthening me even further! I wonder… if you can save them all by yourself?"

Hiroto immediately slashed at the head, sending it flying after having been split in half.

"Dammit! Tanjiro! Wake Rengoku or anyone else up!" Hiroto yelled out at the top of his lungs.

"Ahahahaha!" *BOOM* Hiroto heard Inosuke's laugh and turned to see him crash through the roof of a carriage with Tanjiro behind him. "Follow me, my minions!! Ungaaaaahhhh!!!"
