Upon hearing of her sister's death, Elana set off in search of Lionel for answers. As the last person to see her alive, he had to be able to give her something, even if that ended up simply being closure. Walking for hours in the beating sun, tracking Lionel through the middle of nowhere, Elana's body finally gave up, collapsing in a heap as she passed out on the dirt. Her vision blurred in and out as she noticed a man with jet white hair approaching. The next thing she knew, she was being carried. By the time she finally came around again, she was in a mysterious place that she did not recognise.
"W-where am I?" she stammered groggily.
"Oh, thank goodness you're awake!" a voice called from across the room, the white-haired man.
Elana braced herself, "Who are you?"
"Calm down I mean no harm," the man assured. "Especially to the princess."
"Huh?" was all that Elan's hazy mind could think to respond.
"My apologies, where are my manners. I am Atlas," the white-haired man continued.
"Wait, Atlas as in..."
"The son of Poseidon... the very same," he smiled.
"Prove it," Elana challenged, still suspicious of the mystery figure.
"I thought you might say that," Atlas chuckled.
Without missing a beat, Atlas created a bubble from thin air, focusing his energy to change the components inside. The self-proclaimed god turned the air into a solid ball of ice, then evaporated it into steam, then changed it back to a bubble once more.
"That's pretty good proof," Elana exclaimed, shocked beyond belief. "But if you're the son of Poseidon, the god of the sea, then am I..."
"Take a look for yourself," Atlas gestured.
Elana rushed to a nearby window and gazed out onto the beauty beyond... the breathtaking city of Atlantis!
"H-how did I get here? Why am I here? What is going on?"
"All in good time, child. It was the doing of Lord Poseidon himself. He wishes to see you..."
"And what would the god of the ocean want with me?" Elana scoffed.
Unable to answer her question with mere words, Atlas proceeded to escort Elana to the great hall where Poseidon himself was awaiting her arrival. Atlas introduced her as 'The Marvelous Ms. Elana.'
"Hey, no need to get all formal," she insisted.
"At long last, we meet, Elana," Poseidon smiled warmly, his voice echoing around the great hall.
"I'm in the presence of the underwater god. This feels like a dream!" she exclaimed.
Poseidon laughed, "Well if you pinch yourself, I promise that you'll definitely feel it."
Once she had fully taken in her surroundings and present company, Elana finally asked the burning question, "What I am doing here?"
Poseidon averted his gaze as soon as the words left her lips.
"Elana... I should have told you this a long time ago... your mother..."
"What about my mother?"
"Years ago when I walked on Earth, I met Claire. She loved the ocean and marine life. Just spending minutes with her we're almost the best minutes I could ever spend. I never thought there was a human who loved the ocean as much as I did. We soon fell in love and even when I told Claire about my true identity, she paid no mind to it. I was torn between remaining with her and returning to Atlantis," Poseidon explained.
"If you loved her... why would you leave?" Elana asked in disbelief.
"The people of Atlantis depended on me. I am their king. I couldn't abandon my people, even if it meant tearing my heart in two. When I finally returned to the land, I learnt of your mother's passing. I was delivering a necklace to her but I couldn't bring myself to knock on the door so I left it on the step and returned to the see once more. That very necklace you are wearing now..."
Elana's hands instinctively clutched the pendant around her neck. It couldn't be true, could it?
"I never knew that Claire had children until recently. When I found out, I sent a messenger to watch over you..."
"You mean the shark back at the aquarium?" Elana questioned.
"Yes, though I didn't approve of his methods... it was the only way."
Elana sank to the floor, "This is a lot to take in. My sister was taken from me. My best friend missing. Now you tell me that I am the daughter of a god? I'm not sure what to do with that information."
"I would love it if you stayed here with me," Poseidon suggested. "If you would learn about our culture and find out how to control your powers."
"My powers?" Elana gasped.
Poseidon looked just as shocked as she did, "I assumed you would have known... Take a look into that mirror behind you."
As Elana stared at her reflection, she noticed the Aquarius insignia shining through on her back, "I'm... I'm a zodiac?"
"The one chosen to lead her generation," Poseidon nodded. "To the water bearer Aquarius!"
The rest of the Atlantians in the hall chimed in return, "To the water bearer Aquarius!"
Elana was astonished by the news. She asked whether she could be given a private room to think things over and, after many hours of deliberation, decided that she would reside in Atlantis for the time being. Perhaps developing her zodiac powers would be the best chance to locate Lionel and find out the truth about her sister.
As reality sets in she decided to reside in Atlantis for the time being. While living in Atlantis, Eliana grows accustomed to their laws, their technology, and their culture. Being instructed by Poseidon, she begins to learn more about her zodiac powers. While training in Atlantis, Elana climbs through the ranks of being a fighter. Though Elana has grown to be a skilled fighter she still has much to learn along with the public still skeptical about her arrival.
Elana wanted to know more about her mother and about Atlantis. The history of Atlantis is wonderful and beyond imagination; the princess soon no longer wishes to search for her friend who resides above the surface, to her, this is paradise. Time moves differently in Atlantis; Elana meeting her divine siblings Atlas and Theseus; they aided her in her training and taught her the etiquette of being a princess. Soon she becomes popular within Atlantis and Poseidon begins to look for someone to pass the crown over to.
Poseidon: My children, I believe it is time that I look for a successor
Atlas: But father, you're omnipotent. No one would dare challenge your authority
Poseidon: Son it is not about someone challenging my authority it is about finding a new face, someone who can lead this city to greater things. After a while soldiers grow weary of seeing and hearing the same person.
Theseus: But who will claim your throne
Poseidon: After a hard consideration, I have my successor. This person not only carries that trait of a good leader but it's humble, forgiving, and had a choice of reason. Elana, it is you
(Everyone turns there heads)
Elana: ME??? But I've barely even lived here
Poseidon: You may be young, but Atlantis will need a new face. A person that can unite Atlantis with the surface world
"Your inauguration is already in the works"
Poseidon decides to give the crown to Elana making her the new queen. During her inauguration, an enrollment letter from Astro Academy comes in.
Elana: What's this?
"Dear water bearer you have been accepted to our school to educate you on Greek history and along with awakening the great power that lies within you."
(A sudden heartbeat)
"This aura. It feels so familiar, could it be? Lionel!?"
As she reads the letter she senses an aura that's very familiar. It was Leonidas; traveling to the academy.
(Trumpets blowing)
Poseidon: Citizens of Atlantis we are here to usher in a new era where we will have a queen rolling the kingdom. Young Elana had climbed up the ranks since her arrival and she has proven to be a worthy leader and someone who can lead Atlantis to a great future. This doesn't mean I'll be gone, but I will offer guidance during her rule.
(The city cheers)
Poseidon: Elana step forward
(Elana steps forward)
"By the power invested in me, I dub thee the new queen of Atlantis"
(The city cheers)
Elana's desire to see Lionel overflows and she runs out in the middle of the inauguration.
Elana: I'm sorry Poseidon, I can't do this. I need to find my friend
Poseidon: But Elana!?
Elana storms out and the public is appalled by Elana's actions as its broadcasted throughout the city.
"Lionel I know you're out there. I can sense your heartwarming aura. Wherever you are please wait for me"
Using Atlantis' advanced technology, Elaina opens a portal to return back on the surface. She follows the trace of Lionel's aura.
