Journey. (2)

Wu Shen entered his room and immediately spread out his spiritual awareness, noticing the two men who were watching him from the shadows by sensing their martial spirits. He guessed that Duan Wu Ya would try something against him but he never guessed that he would act so quickly.

'Sigh, it looks like even as a prince I can't escape the ruthless laws of the martial world. Well, it doesn't matter, I can use them for my protection if some old ancestor tries to attack me.'

Wu Shen ignored them and went to take another bath in preparation for his long journey. He didn't know how long he would take but it shouldn't be longer than a few months. Food or shelter wasn't a problem because of his wealth and ability to enter his own sort of dimension that was connected to his shadow. The shadow teleportation ability itself was apart of his Quincy powers but most of the dimensions functions were granted by the Elder God when Wu Shen had made his request.

After taking his bath, Wu Shen put an illusion over his room with his psychic powers that showed the two men that he was cultivating while he teleported into his shadow dimension. Wu Shen arrived in a massive white room filled with the usual utilities and some extra ones that allowed him to craft his own Quincy clothing/weapons. He could've just caused multiple pieces of clothing to appear in the real world with a snap of his fingers but he was currently being watched, so that was out of the question. Wu Shen walked to the device and quickly picked out some new clothing that he subsequently applied some psychic curses to. {A/N: I feel like I should tell you what to expect from his psychic abilities since I don't want it to feel like an asspull. He has Suzuki, Mob's, and Mogami's powers. The trio shares a multitude of the same high-level esper abilities while they have some special ones. He has everything they do plus he can recreate abilities from other espers in the show because of powerful he is. Something like Teru. That's where the curses and illusions come from. So most of his abilities can be found with a quick google search except the original ones that I plan to create.}

Wu Shen exited the shadow dimension and caused his body in the illusion to walk towards his wardrobe. His illusory body then put on the same exact clothes he had on in the real world and then walked to the middle of the room where he was standing, causing him to dispel the illusion without alerting the two men. Wu Shen was wearing a weighted{around 2 tons each} long, white hooded armless trenchcoat that stopped around his ankles with a sternritter emblem embedded on the left side of it, black gloves, small silver earrings, long white pants with white oversocks, and black leg bindings that resembled those of a Shaolin monk. A long cruciform broadsword sat on his waist that he had put multiple psychic curses on to increase its overall offense and durability.

Now that he was ready to leave, Wu Shen left his room and said all the complimentary goodbyes to his family. As he got to the outside of the palace, a servant was there waiting with a luxurious horse that looked like it was made for war. The servant bowed respectfully and said, "Your highness, Your horse has been prepared."

'A Dragon-Colt horse huh? Looks like even though my privileges are superficial, I'm still privy to some luxuries.'

Wu Shen thanked the servant, jumped on the horse, and promptly left the imperial city with his two 'guards' in tow, heading towards his first stop which was Yangzhou City.

[A few days later]

"What a handsome, spirited young man! I wonder what clan he belongs to?"

"He can't be from Yangzhou City. In all my years I've never seen a young man that looked or dressed like that in this city."

"Interesting, I wonder what big sect he belongs to? Plus look at the horse he's riding! He must be from the imperial city!"

As Wu Shen arrived in Yangzhou city, he immediately caught the attention of the common folk there because of his horse and attire. This city was much smaller than the imperial city and the people consisted more of weaker cultivators or just innocent commoners. The architecture wasn't as impressive nor was it as wealthy as the imperial city, but Yangzhou city had a charm of its own. Wu Shen asked some of the common folk about where he could find the Black Wind Mountain Range and quickly rode there as he planning to use the place to gain some battle experience against the demon beasts while waiting for a certain event to take place.

[A few days later]

As he arrived at the forested, expansive mountain range, Wu Shen already sensed multiple beasts moving towards his scent. He jumped off his horse and told it to leave while he walked into the forest with his hands buried in the pockets of his trenchcoat. His spiritual awareness was at maximum power as it allowed him to see every spiritual being for about 20km around himself, limiting the number of things that can attack him by surprise to only a few. Suddenly, a large demon beast that resembled a tiger sprang out of the forest, immediately giving Wu Shen a sense of nostalgia as he looked at it.

Its skin was dark blue and its eyes looked like they were made of ice. The beast itself gave off a freezing chill that would make a normal cultivator of the ninth Ling Qi Layer run away immediately but unfortunately for the beast, Wu Shen was far from normal. With a taunting smirk on his face, Wu Shen calmly said, "Attack, beast."

Almost like it understood his words, the beast immediately rushed at Wu Shen, causing the latter to immediately outstretch his right hand in the shape of a claw. The tiger tried to avoid the claw as it came closer but Wu Shen turned his hands towards the beast and grabbed onto its face, causing the beast to struggle in fear. With one ripping motion, Wu Shen used pure physical power to rip the tiger to shreds and consumed everything down to its very essence with his Quincy abilities.

Feeling the physical strength, speed, essence, durability, and ice abilities of the tiger being added on to his own, Wu Shen smiled as he continued to walk into the mountain range in search of more power.

'Now, let's begin.'
