This entire piece of land was quater of a mile from all sides, and was transfigured into a smooth rocky floor completely covered in Asgardian runes.
After strengthening his resolve, Kol chanted a spell in Asgardian language and supplied magic into the formation below to activate it.
Then the other formations started activating by themselves like in a chain reaction.
The ground shook with a small earthquake. All the Magic matrices came to life, and arrays started rotating. The eight stone pillars shot Magic blasts into the air which then transformed into big Magic circles, glowing and rotating in the sky above.
At the same time, light beams shot towards the Codex of Life from all sides and it was immediately encased in a Magical sphere which rose above Kol's head.
Then he lost consciousness and fell backwards, laying on the platform.
At this time, Kol Mikaelson's entire genetic makeup was changing.
But that wasn't all. A big change was happening in this entire area. These Magic circles attracted sunlight directly from Earth's atmosphere, then converted it into several different kinds of radiations.
Be it the light of Red Sun, Blue sun, Yellow Sun, or White dwarfs, the radiation of Yellow Sun harvested from the Earth's atmosphere was being converted into the radiation of every single type of star found in the universe.
All this radiation was being added into this ritual. To make it so that he would be able to absorb the energy from any star in the universe, and not just the yellow sun.
As long as the intensity of radiation was high enough, as long as Kol was close enough to a star, he would be able to absorb its radiation, be it infrared, UV, X-ray, or gamma.
The Codex of Life turned into a liquid state and slowly went inside Kol's body, which then started shaking and glowing. His skin was cracking and blood flowing out.
Magic beams of different colours constantly hit his body from all sides.
This process went on for nearly half an hour, after which, the Codex of Life was finally absorbed into his body.
At this point, his body was nearly broken down. It was a miracle he was still alive. But, when the Codex of Life was finally fully absorbed, it started healing him, and his body started returning to his peak physical condition for his age.
But this wasn't yet over. Pure radiation of different types of stars found in the universe suddenly showered on Kol's body from the sky above.
His body couldn't handle all this excess energy. He was burning. His cells were constantly in the state of necrosis and regeneration.
Every time they regenerated, his genetic code changed a little. His entire genetic makeup was being rewritten from scratch.
It lasted for around three hours. But even when the process was completed, Kol didn't wake up. He just slept soundly on the stone platform.
When he woke up, it was already morning of the next day. He woke up as soon as the sunlight touched his skin.
First he checked his condition, and then used several different types of spells like see through spell, observation spells and divination spells to see if he succeeded in his attempt.
Currently, Kol was feeling boundless energy coursing through his body, and this feeling of power was amazing. Almost euphoric.
He felt that he could break down the entire planet if he just stomped down.
It may be an exaggeration, but as Kol checked his condition, he discovered that he only just needed some time to reach that level.
Perhaps a couple of years to become as strong as Superman.
But that wasn't his limit. He no longer had any limit to his evolution. He could grow stronger endlessly.
Given enough time, and he could reach the level of Golden Superman, perhaps even Space Publisher Hulk.
But he didn't have any obvious weakness like Superman. He could use Magic and absorb the radiation of any star in the universe, even the Red Sun.
Eventually he would be able to even generate Doomsday Virus, unlike Superman.
But Kol still did have a weakness against Kryptonite. Good thing it didn't exist in this universe.
But even if it did, it would not make him weak just by being near it, like with Superman, but only able to pierce his invulnerable skin.
Kol took a deep breath. He still couldn't fly, so he turned around towards the direction of his village, bent down, and jumped.
"BOOOM.!!".
Leaving behind a small crater on the ground behind him, Kol enjoyed the feeling of wind hitting his body.
This feeling was amazing. When he looked down at the land below, he had a feeling of looking down at the world from above.
With a little focus, the trees that seemed as small as ants magnified in his eyes. He could observe their every little detail.
Telescopic Vision.!
Kol refocused his vision and looked at the fast approaching ground below him. If he had fallen from this height as a human being, then most of the bones in his body would be broken, causing an instant death. Even with the protection of Magic.
But things were different now.
With a small smile on his face, Kol landed with a loud, "BOOOM.!!", and jumped up once again. He really liked the feeling of being in the air, so he continued his journey in this manner.

"Is this another one of your games.? Or your attempt to MAKE A MOCKERY OF ME.!?", "BOY.!!", "WHERE IS YOUR SWORD.!?", Mikael yelled at Kol.
Whenever Mikael wanted to mock one of his sons, he would always call them, 'boy', in a tone that showed he mean business.
In the middle of the village of Mystic Falls, a day after Kol came back after fusing with the Codex of Life.
Currently, Kol was facing Mikael in a duel, while their entire family, and some of their neighbours from the village were spectating from around them.
"Oh.! I think I'm good. There's no need for me to use a sword on a helpless elderly.! COME AT ME OLD MAN.! Let me show you why it's not such a good idea to take much stress at your age.!", Kol yelled back in a tone that contained mockery and contempt.
Kol was never bothered by someone calling him, 'boy'. He was quite happy to be young again. He didn't need Mikael's approval like Nicklaus and others, to prove that he had become a 'man'. Kol already knew who he was.
On the other hand, Kol had been an 'old man' in his previous life. He still remembered how much that bothered him. It made him want to smack anyone who reminded him that.
What was even worse was that he couldn't even refute because what was the point.!? He knew he would never be getting young again. So whenever Kol wanted to mock Mikael, he called him, 'old man', and reminded him of his passing years.
"What did you say.!? You dare talk back to me.? YOU WILL REGRET THIS BOY.!!", with that, Mikael charged at Kol.
And this was what followed every time Kol mocked Mikael.
Sometimes Kol would get beaten, and sometimes Mikael would get beaten instead.
Last year was the first time Kol participated in a war. At first, Mikael refused without hesitation and mocked him by saying, "War.!? You.!? Ha.! You're not man enough to participate in a war. Boy.! Go back home to your mother.!"
Kol of course got angry at that, and challanged him up on the spot, which resulted in his victory.
As a result, Mikael had too much pride to admit that he had lost. So he made an excuse by saying, "It seems you do have a warrior in you somewhere, Boy.! You can join the war. But if the only way for you to win is by luck, then you will die. Don't get conceited by a small victory.".
At that time, Kol inwardly cursed this shameless old man.
Whenever Mikael practiced with him, he never showed Kol any mercy. He didn't care if he was a child, whenever Kol lost, Mikael didn't teach him patiently or corrected his mistakes, in fact, he would hit him even more when he was down.
Hell, that was the first time Kol had won with pure skills alone, without any Magic, and Mikael refused to even acknowledge his defeat!?
So with all that pent up frustration, Kol swore to one day defeat him in a way that he wouldn't be able to make any more excuses.
And that day was today. When Kol successfully fused with the Codex of Life, the first thing he did after coming back was challenge Mikael to a duel.
Mikael charged at Kol with his sword drawn. When he got close enough, he tried to hit him in the head with the pommel of his sword.
Kol didn't dodge or try to redirect the attack like he usually would. Instead, he just caught the hilt of Mikael's sword with one hand.
Mikael tried to push forward, but he felt like he was pushing against an immovable wall.
Mikael was surprised, but not too much. He had seen Kol use Magic many times. So he tried to free his sword, but failed yet again.
Just as Mikael was about to let go of the sword and instead punch him in the face, Kol put his free hand on Mikael's chest, and just pushed lightly.
Mikael felt like he was hit by a darting horse head on. He was pushed back with such great force that he only touched ground after flying back three meters.
Mikael slid two meters on the ground before stopping, and just layed there, looking at the sky with an expression of disbelief.
Mikael was a veteran warrior and he was one of the best. He didn't need to ask. He didn't need an explanation. He knew exactly what just happened. And he knew that he wouldn't be able to win no matter how much he struggled.
Mikael didn't just accept this defeat. That would be unlike him. He was bound to try again later. But he did begin to doubt himself. His pride was damaged a little for the first time in his life.

.
Time passed quickly and years flew by, in a blink of an eye, Kol was already eighteen years old.
He discovered that fusing with Codex of Life was not without side effects. He could instinctively feel that it made him more carefree than he usually would have been. He became slightly more impulsive than before.
But the effect wasn't obvious and it wasn't like it was a bad thing to be a bit more easy going when you had this much power in your hands.
At least he didn't become like Doomsday who only knew destruction. So Kol didn't pay too much attention to it and continued to work towards his next project.
That day when Kol came home after his transformation, he found that his family had become worried and gathered the village folks to start a search party to look for him in the woods. It was understandable. He had been missing for two days after all.
Kol felt warmth in his chest. Even though it was never his plan in the beginning, but over the years, Kol had become quite attached to these people. So he chose to stay with them even after he fused with the Codex of Life. He no longer viewed them as characters in the story, but real people.
As years passed, Kol discovered something else about himself. He looked quite similar to how he would imagine a younger version of Stefan Salvatore. In other words, a doppelgänger of Silas.
Silas and Amara were world's first truly immortal beings. They consumed the 'immortality elixir' created by the witch named, Qetsiyah. Therefore, they could not be killed by any natural, or unnatural means.
But nature always finds a balance for everything, and its answer to true immortality were the doppelgängers.
Doppelgängers, also known as shadow selves were a supernatural occurance, the people who looked exactly like the true Immortals, and they were meant to live and die in place of true Immortals to maintain nature's balance.
As supernatural beings, doppelgängers were far more magically imbued than human beings. So much so that their blood was used in some of the most powerful spells in this world. Including the immortality spell.
It was used to both link the celestial events or objects like sun and moon to other ingredients in the spells, and used as a carrier of the spells themselves.
That also explained why Kol always thought that his Mana reserves were so inhumanly higher than the other witches.
But Kol knew that the original Kol Mikaelson from the TV show wasn't a doppelgänger, and he had a feeling that he wasn't in any alternate universe either, simply because Edward and Barbara didn't seem like they would send him to an alternate universe.
So that just leaves one thing.
Kol had an ever-growing suspicion that Barbara was guilty of baby swapping. And those babies were original Kol Mikaelson and Silas's doppelgänger.
That she either swapped the original baby Kol Mikaelson with the baby doppelgänger, or she was responsible for the unnatural birth of the doppelgänger in place of the original Kol Mikaelson.
Either way, this meant that she had been planning this thing for years, and that scared Kol.
When you know that for many years, an omnipotent being has been planning something involving you, then you know you're fu*ked.! It doesn't matter whether the being means harm to you or not, you will still be involved in all kinds of crazy sh*t.!
This discovery motivated Kol to get even stronger. He started researching more and more, and made a habit to bathe in the sunlight every morning, to satisfy this new Kryptonian body of his.

I know it gives that feeling, but I assure you. There will be no new plot.! Though MC will unknowingly complete the task Barbara wants him to complete. -- But that will only happen after he goes to the world of "Supernatural", TV Show.
