Fury Took The Bait

Marvel multiverse had an uncountable number of dimensions. One among many was Izel's Realm, or as Fitz called it, the fear dimension.

He called it that because the dimensional rift created by the explosion of all three monoliths blowing up simultaneously had the property of manifesting people's fears into reality.

However, that name was in fact, inaccurate. Because Izel's Realm had nothing to do with 'fear'. It was just that the people in the lighthouse were subconsciously imagining their worse fears which were manifested into reality due to the overflow of Creation energy from Izel's Realm. That's just a human coping mechanism. We fear the unknown, what we don't understand.

In the end, they were all just some regular humans, not the mages who knew how to utilize exotic energy.

The people of Izel's realm lacked true physical bodies and appeared as dark humanoid figures who were unable to feel any emotion besides desire and love. The concepts of life and death were meaningless here.

Yearning for corporeal forms, desperate to touch and feel, thousands of years ago, Izel, their Realm lord utilized the three kinds of energy from their realm to create three monolithic stones called the Di'Allas, which could manipulate time, space, and creation, respectively.

The Di'Allas were used by the realm's people to open a gateway between their realm and the main universe.

Some of the realm's people would use this gateway to travel to the universe and possess a corporeal body so that they could feel emotions, however, this was exceedingly rare among their species, as it was extremely dangerous.

This went on until millennia ago, the Di'Allas were somehow stolen from their realm and ended up in the main universe.

Not long after, Pachakutiq, an inhabitant of the realm who desired a corporeal form, asked his lover and the realm lord, Izel, to leave their realm and find the Di'Allas so that he could have his own body.

To which Izel agreed.

Then not long after, while Izel was still on her quest for the Di'Allas, a human body abruptly appeared in Izel's realm.

This body, a duplicate of Phil Coulson, was created in 2017 by the Creation Di'Alla, then sent back through time and space by the Time and Space Di'Allas.

Seeing such an opportunity present itself before him, Pachakutiq, who still yearned for a physical form, possessed the body and escaped into the main universe.

However, he wasn't free just yet. His memories accidentally melded together with those of the host body's, causing Pachakutiq to forget his past.

His mind subconsciously gave birth to a different personality, one which was stronger than the original one.

This 'him' went by the name, Sarge, and began to mistakenly believe that Izel had killed his family. Sarge believed that the word, "Pachakutiq" meant, "the death of everything".

Sarge then began his crusade to kill Izel, and during his journey, he gathered together a crew made up of individuals whose planets were destroyed by Izel in her quest for the monoliths.

Sarge's Squad had four other members, Tinker, Pax, Jaco, and Snowflake.

Not long after Kol took over Chronyca-2, it was attacked by the Shrike, who were a race of parasitic bat-like creatures created by Izel to make her search for the monoliths easier.

The Shrike had been responsible for the destruction of countless planets and civilizations. But soon after they attacked Chronyca-2, they were wiped out by Kol.

Afterward, Kol approached Sarge and his Squad and kindly offered his help in their quest to hunt down Izel.

It took a little persuasion and manipulation, but ultimately, Sarge agreed.

Without wasting time, Kol then got Sarge alone and used Kolforce on him to corrupt his will, making the original 'Pachakutiq' to disappear, and only allowing 'Sarge' to exist, while at the same time, giving him all the abilities and powers of 'Pachakutiq', while also making sure to subtly influence his mind to turn him into a loyal subordinate.

When Sarge felt a sudden surge of power coursing through him, he thought it was Kol granting him superpowers, which only served to deepen the corruption even further.

Then Kol shared The White with Jaco and Snowflake as they were more capable and trustworthy than the rest in their group. This solidified his status in their minds.

After winning the war in Muspelheim, Kol attacked Jotunheim and then halted the efforts of his conquest. He didn't want to bite off more than he could chew.

Conquering a world wasn't just about winning a war and ruling over people happily thereafter. There was a lot more to it than that.

Kol didn't wish to become a dictator, but a competent ruler, a king. And that meant getting accepted by the people. Considering public opinions.

This wasn't the tenth-century earth where little propaganda could solve everything. These civilizations were advanced enough to travel between the stars. So Kol would have to be extremely careful about everything.

Winning a war was just the beginning. It was nothing but a right to rule over them temporarily. A chance. And how he would do in this time period would decide how many times they would rebel, and how many generations it would take for these people to truly become, 'his people'.

Regardless, Kol had already done this before in his homeworld. He had experience and knew how to go about it.

Surtur had a daughter, Sindr, the Queen of Cinders. After Kol defeated Surtur, he arrived at the battlefield where the war was still going on and found Sif in combat with Sindr.

Sindr was quite strong, not close to Surtur's level, but only a little weaker than the current Sif. Which meant that she was useful.

But at the same time, she wasn't strong enough to resist Kol. He used Kolforce to corrupt her will and made her into his loyal minion.

And just like that, the battle was over.

Kol made Sindr rule over Muspelheim in his stead as a figurehead and focussed his attention on Jotunheim.

After the war, Jotunheim remained the only realm that Kol had no solution for. He had won the war there, but there was no one strong enough to rule the Jotuns as his proxy.

Seeing no other solutions, Kol was forced to wear the Infinity gauntlet and do the Snap.

Changing their Reality and subtly altering their Minds, expanding the range through Space, and making sure that it would appear to have always been like this, Kol utilized the Reality, Mind, Space, and Time stones to make the Jotuns truly and utterly loyal to him.

This was something he was always avoiding doing because Kol saw needing to rely on the Infinity gauntlet as some sort of mockery to his abilities as a King.

A true King doesn't need to rely on such tricks to make his subjects loyal to him. Every time Kol thought of using the Infinity gauntlet for this purpose, he felt a subconscious voice calling him, 'incompetent'.

Maybe it was his own conscience, or the pride he inherited from his father, at the end of the day, this was the reason Kol thought to change his plans, stop waging wars, and just develop quietly, at least until he could set up a reliable and continuous channel of transportation between this world, and his homeworld.

Tønsberg, a village in Norway that housed the Tesseract for several centuries. Following the Destruction of Asgard, it was repopulated by the surviving Asgardians who renamed it New Asgard.

After the war with Thanos, there was nothing left for Thor but to migrate his people to the earth, and quietly rule over them.

Though the term was 'rule', it wasn't anything specific like some great responsibility, or what could be considered glorious.

After settling down, there wasn't much left to do but morn for the dead, then continue to live their leisure lives.

Thor's situation wasn't much different from what was shown in, 'End Game'. Sure he wasn't demoralized enough to lose his purpose here and was, therefore, a bit more involved in things, but at the end of the day, it wasn't his calling to be a King. He was simply not made for it.

Following his current routine, Thor was home sipping on mead and playing video games with his friends, Korg and Miek when they were suddenly interrupted.

The door opened by itself, and a bird flew in - a pigeon.

Thor was yelling in his microphone, "Left! Left! He's on the left! Get that weasel. Yes! Yes, what the... a bird! How did... Get it!", he got up furiously and told Korg and Miek, who still hadn't registered the situation, "Catch it! Squash that little fly... no actually, just shoo it away. Go open that window.", then proceeded to run after the pigeon that had invaded their home.

"Alright! Let's go Miek.", Korg got up with his usual enthusiasm.

However, before they could take a few steps forward, another bird flew through the door, this time a parrot.

"Where are they coming from...", Thor asked no one in particular.

On the other hand, "Yeeahhh! That's how it's done, Miek. On your right. Yes. You got it. Yes! Yes! Now catch it, aww no! Good effort. Try again. You can do it.", Korg was directing Miek while a hawk had been sitting on his rocky head all this time.

Thor finally managed to catch a crow and was throwing it out of the window when he suddenly caught a glimpse of a penguin trying to sneak in, "The door! They're coming from the door. Close that door! Hurry.".

But by this point, it was already too late.

Dozens of different kinds of birds flew in from the opened windows, one parakeet even nearly flew into Thor's mouth.

All of a sudden, different kinds of birds were flying or walking around everywhere, their loving and peaceful home had suddenly turned into an aviary.

There were even larger birds like ostrich and rheas which seemed very suspicious as they sat down on the couch in front of the TV. How they even got in was a mystery.

Seeing this scene, Thor, Korg, and Miek panicked, and without wasting a moment to question the absurdity of the situation, they skedaddled out of there.

When they came out, "Servants, help! We have been invaded by birds!", Thor ran out yelling, "Mutated, bloodthirsty birds!", Korg followed behind.

However, they were ignored by the crowd that briefly just glanced over them, and they continued to go about their business.

On the other hand, when Thor, Korg, and Miek finally calmed down and regained their wits, they were dumbstruck by the scene playing out in front of them.

After the Asgardians settled down on earth, they adapted to the lifestyle here, and they wore simple earth' clothes, like what common villagers would wear.

But currently, they were two groups of Asgardians walking around, one wearing earth' clothes, and the others in their native garments.

However, that wasn't what surprised Thor.

The ones who were wearing their native Asgardian clothing were supposed to be dead. They were either killed off by Hela and her undead army or massacred by Thanos.

Yet now they were walking around, talking and laughing happily as nothing happened, reuniting with their family and loved ones, hugging, kissing, and crying, having a very emotional reunion with each other.

"Thor! Over here!", somebody called out.

Thor turned his head to look over and found Kol standing together with Sif by his side, both happily waving their hands at him.

Thor still remembered the last time he met Kol. He sought him out for the star maps of the nine realms and everything beyond that Asgard had knowledge of.

Seeing him here, Thor thought of something - 'Infinity gauntlet'. That must be it. It must be Kol who brought the dead Asgardians back to life, including the army that was demolished by Hela.

After coming to this conclusion, Thor was overjoyed, yet worried. This time Thanos didn't do the Snap, so with earth's stupid politics and their rapacious leaders, it had been difficult for them to live here.

Now with a sudden increase in population, the situation was bound to worsen. Maybe Kol could help with that as well? Thor now desperately needed some good advice.

And just like that, the bird incident was all but forgotten.

Most people around the world live quite a routine, uneventful life.

Wake up in the morning, brush your teeth, freshen up, do a little exercise, bathe, make breakfast, eat breakfast, go to work, come home in the evening, have tea and biscuits while surfing the internet or watching the TV, make dinner, eat dinner, go jogging, come home, watch TV, then go to sleep.

It's mostly along these lines.

But today, there was all about to change. Finally, there was a twist in their lives, but not one anybody ever prayed for.

Their planet was surrounded by hundreds of extraterrestrial spaceships.

All the traffic halted, all the activities stopped, people got out of their houses to look, yet despite all that, the world governments weren't doing anything.

In fact, they didn't know, but they did try this time. Thanks to Kol's warning, Fury had managed to organize quite a force to fight against him. He did what no one else in the history of mankind ever could accomplish. He brought together the leaders of most nations under one roof and negotiated a temporary truce, all to deal with Kol.

Unfortunately, he played right into his hand. By bringing together all of Kol's possible future enemies under one roof, he made his work conveniently easy.

Kol did not kill anyone, but put everyone, including the avengers into Cryo Chambers, along with all their friends and family, minus Carol and Thor, who were off-world, and Strange, who had seen the future and did not resist. Without them meddling, it was easy for Kol to make all the nations in the world surrender to him.

To make things easy, a nice speech was given to make Kol's actions justified in the eyes of the public. Earth's governments were blamed for not taking proper action against Thanos when he nearly wiped out half the population of the Universe, the story about the Infinity Stones was made public and the fact that Earth possessed them, which was a threat to the entire Universe.

Then incriminating evidence was released that made the electorate rage about the decisions made by their representatives, like the creation of Abomination, the decision to nuke New York, etcetera. Plus all the corruption that was going on in the world.

People were already afraid and angry after what they had to go through in recent years. At this point, they were just looking for a release, somebody to blame, and Kol very masterfully used that to his advantage.

Among all this chaos, Earth could not gather together a proper response against him, especially with most of their leaders missing with their families. So Kol took that opportunity to establish himself, enough for them to temporarily recognize his authority over them.

Now all that was left was to just solidify his reign. People needed an excuse, so the future generations would be able to say, "we resisted, but we lost". For that, they needed to see his might, to realize how insignificant they really were in the Universe, and therefore Kol's magnanimity in not using force against them.

This excuse was provided when the people were swept off their feet by the storm that raged in the form of an event that history books would later call World War 3, or Earth's final stand against its owners.

An announcement was made, that only those countries with a well-defined democratic system were recognized as 'countries', because only then can it be counted as representing its people. The rest was all unclaimed territory, and Russia was the only exception to this rule, because... author loves vodka and Russians are awesome.

Anyway, a war broke out afterward, many nations banded together to resist, China and Wakanda leading the change, but it was all futile. In the end, the Earth had a new ruler.

Though for common people, nothing much changed, except corruption became non-existence and all ongoing wars ended for good.

Truly prosperous times were coming, and it could be felt clearly in all parts of the world. Africa was soon unified as one country and became the center for trade and commerce for its strategic location, while India played an important role in the global market and the global supply chain.
