- Edge of Tomorrow (2014)

An asteroid carrying an alien race called the Mimics crashed into Europe and devastated the continent in a deadly war.

Losing battle after battle for five years, the NATO-led United Defense Forces finally won a victory at Verdun, France, utilizing the new mechanized "jacket" combat suits.

UK Special Forces soldier Sgt. Rita Vrataski was hailed as "The Angel of Verdun" for killing hundreds of Mimics single-handedly.

On the other hand, Major William Cage pissed off a General and was demoted to rank Private, and sent off to the front lines.

The next day during combat, Cage found himself in a desperate situation. Seeing no escape, he grabbed a Claymore mine and detonated it as the enemy surrounded him, committing suicide with the enemy.

However, the alien closest to him was different from the rest. It was not only much bigger but blue. This alien was the Alpha.

When the mine exploded, just before Cage was about to die, the Alpha's blood got into Cage's wounds, triggering a mutation, and giving him the power to manipulate Time.

However, Cage had no way to use this power. The only way was to die. Every time he'd die, Time would reset 24 hours.

Which meant that he could reset the day over and over again until he found a way to win the war and take back Europe.

After a dozen or so times Cage met Rita and discovered that she also had this same power before in Verdun, but lost it.

Rita told him that the only way to win the war was to find and kill the Omega, which was the central commander of all Mimics.

Through his connection with the Omega, Cage experienced a vision showing the Omega hiding deep inside a dam in Germany.

After resetting the day for what seemed like a couple of hundred times, Cage finally reached the dam, but it was an ambush. He was tricked.

After killing Mimic after Mimic till he lost count, Cage was only left with one shotgun, one handgun, and a belt of futuristic grenades that he wanted to use to kill the Omega.

He arrived at the destination and looked down to where he thought the Omega was but found nothing, just an empty hole. Either it was long gone or was never there.

Taking advantage of Cage's surprise, a Mimic jumped out of the dark and attacked him. He was thrown out in the air a few meters away and lost his grip on the shotgun and the grenade belt.

When he got up with difficulty, he discover that the Mimic didn't take advantage of his immobility to attack him, instead, it just blocked his egress.

Cage sensed something behind him and turned around to look, only to find an Alpha staring down at him.

At this point, Cage knew he was fucked. He could not fight the Alpha in his condition, and the only way out was to reset the day again.

Cage pulled out his handgun and was ready to pull the trigger to commit suicide, but the Alpha was quicker. It used its tentacle to slap away the handgun from Cage's hand.

The Alpha didn't want to just kill him but take away his power to manipulate Time first, thereby making humanity lose its only hope of resistance.

Just at this time, when all was about to end and the Mimics were about to win the war, a shadow flew past Cage and hit the Alpha in the face, making it stagger back two steps.

Startled by this sudden change of situation, Cage looked back.

A blonde girl in office dress stood there, looking completely out of place while holding a brick in her hands.

"Hi!", she greeted Cage, then, "Boom!", threw the brick in her hand and hit the Alpha.

The brick traveled past Cage's head so quickly that he couldn't even see it, and only felt the terrifying air pressure that nearly blew him away. It crossed the sound barrier.

Cage couldn't even imagine what kind of monstrous, ridiculous strength it must take to do that.

But this wasn't the end. After throwing that brick, the girl took a step forward, and leaving behind a slight depression on the ground, she blinked past Cage towards the Alpha that was just now starting to get up.

She grabbed its head and held it down, not killing it but not letting it go either. No matter how the Alpha struggled, it was useless. Its tentacles that could tear apart armored vehicles like paper couldn't even pierce this girl's skin.

A couple of days later, outside the Louvre museum in Paris.

This place didn't look like anything like it used to and was ravaged by the violence of war.

"You came!", A blonde woman in office dress greeted two people who just got off a minivan.

These two people were Rita and Cage. Their combat exoskeleton armor was barely held together. It was clear that it must've been very different for them to get here.

"I see you made it here ok.", the blonde woman spoke.

"Who are you? What are you?", Rita asked.

"My name in Astrid. Tell me, have you ever heard of string theory?", Astrid asked.

"No, we haven't. Just answer the question, please. What did you do with that Alpha?", Cage asked.

"I'm from a parallel Earth. I have superpowers because I am genetically modified. What I did with that Alpha is none of your concern. All you need to know is that I came here to save this earth from the Mimics, and I need your help to do it.", Astrid answered.

"Parallel earth?", Cage was stupefied, Rita started breathing heavily, it was too much for her, "Do you think we are stupid? You must be an alien!", Rita pulled out her weapons and aimed at Astrid.

Everyone deals with shock differently.

Astrid fired lasers from her eyes that immediately melted away Rita's weapons and heated her exoskeleton armor so much that it forced her to disengage and jump out.

"I don't like to be pointed at.", Astrid commented, and just before Cage was about to help Rita, Astrid flashed in front of him with super speed, and lightly pushed him with one finger, making him fall.

"STOP!", Astrid commanded, making them halt their actions. Then she looked at Rita and spoke, "As you can see, I don't need to lie at all.".

Rita looked at Cage struggling to get up from the ground and finally calmed down, "I'm sorry! It's too much to take.".

Astrid replied, "It's alright... I can understand.".

Then she continued, "The Omega is inside.", she pointed at the museum.

"What!", Cage was startled, "Then let's go kill it.", Rita spoke with determination.

"Not so fast.", Astrid stopped them, "Do you think I am just helping you out of the goodness of my heart? This is not my world.".

"What do you wanna do then?", Rita asked.

Astrid replied, "Simple. I don't wanna kill the Omega, but capture it alive.".

"That's crazy!", Cage exclaimed.

"No matter how strong you are, the Omega has the power to manipulate Time, it's invincible. Not to mention the army of Mimics. The only chance we have is through a surprise attack. Killing it is barely possible. It's ludicrous to even consider capturing it alive.", Rita spoke.

"Don't worry. I have a plan, and an army.", Astrid spoke and tinkered with the watch on her wrist.

In response, several bright spheres of light appeared out of nowhere.

It was Qetsiyah, along with a few witches and warlocks.

Before going to 'Edge of Tomorrow', Astrid went to 'Clash of the Titans', mostly because the power level there was the highest, and the information available would make sure that she wouldn't die as soon as she entered.

However, as soon as she entered, Astrid felt like she was being watched, and no matter what she did, how she prepared, it was all useless. The Gods had already discovered her.

In desperation, Astrid started searching for a way to take control of the situation. To conceal herself, but also to get more information about what she was dealing with.

This led her to a girl named, Io.

Cursed with eternal youth for rejecting a God's advance, Io was a few centuries old. She had all the information Astrid needed.

So Astrid grabbed Io and took her away to her home-world.

Then she made a deal with Io.

It wasn't much. In exchange for her knowledge and her body, Io just wanted a normal, happy life. Plus retaliation against the Gods who cursed her wouldn't hurt now that the opportunity had presented itself.

Astrid gladly promised all her conditions and acquired Io's body, which had been cursed by the gods, and therefore no God would bother spying on it.

But Astrid wasn't satisfied. It would be impossible to do what she wanted to do with Io's weak mortal body.

She needed to strengthen it.

So she drank the Elixir that not only made it a lot more attractive but reduced its age and brought it to its best physical fitness.

Then she used her original body to go to, 'Edge of Tomorrow'.

After they arrived, Qetsiyah and the witches extracted the power from Cage's blood and used it to create a spell that would block the Omega from using its power of time.

Omega did not have any other fighting ability left, so Qetsiyah, Astrid, and the witches easily cleared up the Mimics and captured it alive, sending it back to Himinnheim to have its power extracted and added to Io's body.

However, Qetsiyah and Astrid stayed back to do the 'spell of life and soul concept' on Astrid's soul.

The attribute added was 'devour when triggered'.

The two conditions were, 'merge' and 'upgrade soul'.

The attribute was added to the soul, and the conditions would affect the attribute. So what was devoured would merge with soul in such a way that soul could only upgrade.

- Clash of the Titans (2010)

Humankind had grown tired of the gods' mistreatment and cruelty.

King Acrisius led a siege on Olympus.

In response, the other gods simply lay waste to Acrisius and his pitiful army, but Zeus loved humans too much.

So instead, he chose to make an example of Acrisius.

He disguised himself as the king and visited the chamber where the king's wife was sleeping.

What happened after was obvious.

Zeus timed it just right. Acrisius came in just in time to watch Zeus flying away after the act.

Acrisius grew mad with rage and ordered the execution of his wife, and Zeus' newborn son, which for some reason didn't take nine months, but only minutes to be born.

It was raining, thunder and lightning applauding for the victory of the gods.

On a cliff, with his wife with her newborn son trapped in a coffin, "I curse you, Zeus! I deny you the body you soiled, and the bastard child with it!", Acrisius screamed at the heavens, about to push the coffin in the ocean.

In response, a lightning bolt hit him, not granting him the mercy of death, but mutating him into a horrible monster.

Acrisius screamed in pain, struggling and pining, yet driven by haterade, he managed the strength to throw the coffin into the ocean.

In the early morning, a small ship was sailing across the ocean. It belonged to a fisherman named Spyros and was the only means of income for his family.

However, it was not the fisherman and his family who sailed it today, but a lady who was renting it for a day. She paid so much gold that the fisherman and his family would be set for years.

The lady was sitting on a simple-looking coffin and was looking at another coffin in front of her that looked quite fancy.

It seemed she was waiting for something as she just watched the coffin quietly.

After a while, "Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!", the fancy-looking coffin made a sound.

And then, "Boom!", it burst open from inside.

A woman jumped out from inside. She was wearing a simple gown and holding an infant baby in her arms that was crying.

Judging by how she was holding it, so overprotectively, it seemed she was the mother of this child.

She took a few deep breaths of fresh air, "No! NO.... Why! My king... Why!", she cried.

"So you made it... I guess it wasn't a waste of time after all.", the lady sitting on the simple-looking coffin commented.

Only then did the woman notice her as she turned her head to look.

But she didn't ask who she was, or a thank you for saving her, but just stared at her in wonder, like in deep fascination, as one would look at a glass of fresh water that somehow appeared after being tormented by the thirst for days in an endless desert.

Her gaze wasn't at her face, but her neck.

"Gulp!", the woman swallowed her saliva and took a deep breath to calm down.

Then she put her baby down on the side and slowly looked at the lady sitting on the coffin.

She spoke with great struggle, her face constantly changing, "F.. fo.. forgive me... it.. it was Zeus. He cursed me.", then fangs grew out of her mouth as she growled, and charged at the lady like some beast after its prey.

But the lady had already anticipated her move. She rolled back behind the coffin she was sitting on and opened it while in motion.

The woman couldn't control herself at this speed and stumbled into the coffin.

When she was struggling to get up, "Bang!", the lady hit her from behind with something heavy, making her fall inside.

It was when her head was down the woman noticed that there was someone else inside there.

As her frenzy calmed down, she observed more clearly. It was a man probably in his thirties, all tied up, with even his mouth blocked to prevent him from making a sound.

"That unquenchable thirst you feel was the only way to save your life. It wasn't Zeus, but something that I did.", the lady's voice came from above her, "Drink! Give in to the thirst. Drink to your heart's content. Quench you desire Danae, for you'll only do it once in forever.".

And with this, Danae no longer hesitated. She buried her fangs deep into the man's neck.

"You have been cast out by the Gods, by your family, and by this world, for something you had no control over.", the lady spoke once again.

As Danae continued to drain the man's blood, the lady's voice sounded like the Devil's approval of her sin.

"That was a test just now. I wanted to see if you would turn on your own child, but you didn't... You didn't waste my time. You passed my test Danae, and for that... you deserve to know my real name. Astrid!", she introduced herself, "But this world is not ready. It knows me as Io, which is what you'll call me.".

By now, Danae was done, so she looked up at Io. Her jaw was wet from the viscous red blood that dripped on her breasts.

Io offered her hand to Danae, "I know you have questions, so shall we get to it then?".

After Astrid got the power of time from the Omega Mimic, there were three ways she could use it.

Time stop - Stopping time in the area around her.

Going back in time - The same ability Cage used in the movie, but without the need to die, and not limited to 24 hours.

Foresight - Seeing all possible futures of anything or anyone.

Astrid used her newly gained powers to learn what was going to happen and sneaked into king Acrisius' castle to mix her original body's blood into Danae's wine that she took with dinner.

Danae looked at the hand offered in front of her eyes. Many things were going on in her head. She had many questions. But something that Astrid just said got to her.

So she grabbed her hand and got up, "Io... what's happening to me... who is this man?", she asked.

"Well, he WAS... just some lecher, don't worry about it. Let's get rid of the coffins and go ashore. I bet little Perseus is hungry.", she replied.

"Perseus?", Danae asked in confusion.

"Yes! I took the liberty to name the child, unless... you have a better one?", she replied.

But Danae did not respond, and just walked towards her baby. He was still crying and needed care.

After a while, they came ashore and got off the ship.

The fisherman Spyros was waiting there with his wife. From how their bleak expression went from desperate, to hopeful, to the excitement, it seemed they were half expecting them to make off with their ship.

When they were coming down, Spyros was looking at Danae strangely. His wife wasn't present before so she didn't know, but he knew that only lady Io got up that ship with one coffin.

So how did she return with one extra woman and a child?

"Lady Io, you just buried your uncle, are you feeling alright?", he asked with concern.

Astrid knew what he meant. She did not reply, and just took out a pouch full of gold coins.

Spyros looked at little Perseus and hesitated, "Once again, my condolences.", he spoke as he grabbed the pouch.

He and his wife would also have a child soon and he had to think about the future of his family.
