Chapter Four

Sebastian was a man of many plans. It was almost as if he had a billion plans up sleeve for every scenario in the whole world. Like that one time when Joey got his head stuck after he got really drunk at Sebastian's older sister Quinceañera. Joey and I were probably thirteen and Sebastian fourteen around that time and Sebastian had the great idea to steal Whiskey from the Adults table and leave the Quince with the older kids.

The older kids shook our shoulders repeatedly, clapped our backs and cheered as we left the hall. Joey and I were pretty scared at first, not really sure if we should drink or not but Sebastian took no chance, swigging the bottle of Whiskey down his throat.

Joey initially declined until I drank a little bit of it , not really feeling the effect yet. One sip was it all it took for Joey to go off the rails until he was stuck in one. By then we had long lost Sebastian's older cousins and we stuck to deal with the problem ourselves. Joey was screaming and crying for help begging us to call 911.

I was pretty drunk by then so I just swayed around the place and laughed at Joey. Sebastian, on the other hand, sobered up instantly despite being extremely drunk and refused to let anyone call the cops because we were heavily underaged to be drinking. He ended grabbing a crowbar from what seemed like to me was hiding in his jacket and after what felt like hours of pulling and bending on iron, Joey's head was finally free.

Joey jumped up and laughed, kissing both mine and Sebastian's cheeks repeatedly before throwing up on a random girls shoes, who turned out to be Kia.

He was the master of plans and improvising so I had no doubt when it came to entering the party.

"Ya see Poppy over there, chilling by tree." Sebastian pointed towards them, before walking away. "I'm gonna approach her and you're all gonna stay behind me okay?"

We all nodded simultaneously. Kia walked beside Sebastian while Joey and I scrambled, hopping off her bike and picking up the beer crate before catching up with the both of them.

As much I trusted Sebastian and his plans, he would always fail to inform what exactly he was gonna do. His response to never telling us what he was thinking was often either 'you never someone what you wished for,' or something along the lines of 'always put trust in your god,' which may or may not be disrespectful depending on how deep you are into your religion.

We often had to try and salvage and figure out what his plans were, and I, to be frank, gave up on thinking years ago.

Evantually we stopped walking and stood where we last were when Ryland told us that we weren't needed there.

Sebastian whistled to grab her attention. "Ayo, Poppy!"

Poppy looked over, her short blonde hair barely grazing over her shoulders as she looked over at us with a big smile on her. Her smile immediately dropped when she saw all four of us outcast standing there. She looked away before she hesitantly made her way over here.

"What are you guys doing here?! You know you're not allowed. Do you have any idea of what my brother will do to you guys?" Poppy hissed, jabbing her finger into Sebastian's chest repeatedly.

"Woah, easy there sweetheart." Sebastian said, grabbing onto her finger and dragging her closer to him. He smiles, looking down at her as he caresses her cheek. "You weren't so eager for me to leave a few nights ago?"

Kia and I both snickered, looking at the floor to try and hide our smiles. It was useless as Poppy had already heard us and turned beet red. "You said you wouldn't tell anybody!"

Sebastian smirked, fiddling with his cigarette, inhaling smoke from his cigarette and blowing it into Poppy's face. "I didn't tell anyone, but I will tell your brother if you don't let us in."

Poppy blinked slowly, stunned by Sebastian's actions. She licked her lips and smiled softly to herself before giggling. "I'll only let you in if you brought me my favourite."

Sebastian smirked, grabbing the pink bottle of vodka I had noticed early but decided not to comment on as I had just assumed it was Kia's.

"For you." He said, handing over the drink and wrapping his arm around Poppy.

Poppy giggled, holding onto his hand as they worked towards the bonfire. Sebastian turned his head back around to look at us. He winked and then saluted at us, kissing Poppy's cheek as he turned back around.

"I guess that mean we are now invited."
