At one place, an accident on a rainy night turned a high school graduate, Mu Lihai's life upside down. He was sent abroad in order to help him recover from the memories of that day and his head was filled with nothing but guilt, believing that he had killed someone and become a murderer.

On another place, Li Yao was devastated. Her mother had died on an unprecedented accident and she didn't know what really happened on that day. Her life wasn't the same anymore and she lived with nothing but hatred. Hatred towards the person who hit her mother with his car and hatred towards her relatives who never got past arm's length but wanted to covet her parents' wealth.

What would happen if fate decided to play the two as main characters of their story? And what would become of them as they crossed path and were unknowingly attracted with the other on the first sight? 

They confessed and followed their heart. 

But as one day.. she got to know the truth, would her love stay or stray?

Once he became aware of his own sin towards the woman he loved, would he choose to just let go or to hold tight?

"What are you talking about, grandmother?" Fan Jun didn't want to lie but it was better if he kept silent for the meantime.

"I'm not going to ask you twice, Jun. You think I'm an idiot? Who else will expect Mu's son to propose right after such announcement?" the matriarch said with cold eyes.

"Enough!" she shouted. It made Fan Jun's heart throb because it wasn't in his intention to make her angry.

"I can't believe this. You told him about what I've told you and he had no choice but to make their relationship public by proposing to her." the old woman figured it out quite easily. Nothing could get past her because she was a formidable woman that ever ruled the Fan family.

"I want to announce your engagement to little Yao just now but look at what you've done!" matriarch Fan bellowed. Her voice was raised by a few octaves.
