1. The beginning

Hanuel is waiting for the bus; because he will be in the bus, a person whom she admired the most and his presence always made her smile. The tapping sound which was produced by her shoes was filled in the background. She was getting impatient because it was already time for the bus.

Soon the bus arrived and her face lightened up. She looked at the bus and stood up; she went near the bus and got up and spotted him sitting in his usual seat. There was a boy at the back; with hazelnut brown eyes, black hair, headphones on his head; he was Hyunjin. He was looking outside the window. She went toward him but she sat behind him. He was enjoying songs as usual and she was staring at him.

He was the class president of her class. He was popular AF. His nickname is "prince" because of his killing looks. He describes himself as "The Passionate Final Round Boss". He was one of the most famous students in freshman's year in Practical Dance department. Even the senior girls wanted to date him.

Hanuel and Hyunjin were classmates during high school. He was the Class President cum topper and She was the runner up in their class. But they talked very rarely.

But one thing made her fall for him. Being one of the prettiest girls in the class but aloof and rebellious girl, boys fell for her and she never gave any attention to them. She had only one friend but she was from a different class. It was just a normal day when she rejected a confession from her senior and her only friend Minnie was absent that day. She went to the cafeteria to have lunch. She took her tray and was finding a place to sit to have her lunch alone. She found an empty seat in the corner and she was walking towards the seat. Someone tapped her shoulder and she turned around.

The moment she turned around, a sound of sharp slap was heard by everyone, everyone was shocked by this. Haneul's tray dropped on the floor and her white shirt was all dirty because of the food that was in the tray. She looked at the boy, he was the senior whom she rejected in the morning. They were the centre of attention. She was angry and shocked by this sudden slap when she didn't do anything.

"What do you think? You are pretty that means you are great? You rejected me! I am Jay."

"I don't give a shit who you are. Mind yourself and how dare you slap me without reason?"

Hanuel was known for her bad temper and she was hell angry; she was about to slap him and there Jay slapped her and pushed her. Hanuel was about to fall backwards and Hyunjin came and held her by her waist. His hands were on her waist and her breath hitched for the first time.

"Why the heck did you even touch her?"

"Who are you man? Just step aside. It's between me and her."

"Take a step towards us and then you will see the consequences. I swear you are going to regret it dear Senior Jay." Hyunjin said, anger was visible in his voice. And Hanuel became stiff.

"You-"

Jay's words were cut off because one guy came and held him by saying "dude stop it, you can be suspended once anyone reports you to the principal about this."

"Just wait and watch how your life becomes hell Jeon Hanuel." Jay said and left.

Hanuel stepped aside as soon as Jay left, she looked at Hyunjin. Hyunjin asked her "Are you okay?" she looked down and nodded. Hyunjin noticed her uniform, it was dirty. Hyunjin held her hand and dragged her from the cafeteria to their classroom; it was empty. Hanuel didn't ask him anything and it was actually her first time when she actually liked the touch of a boy.

He opened his locker and took out a white shirt. He gave it to her, and Hanuel was confused. "Change into this. It's not dirty; it will a bit longer than your shirt but I think you can manage it." Hyunjin said to her and smiled.

"It's okay, I can manage Hyunjin, I can manage with this." It was her first time taking his name, although it was going to be a year with him in the same class. "Hanuel you are wearing a white shirt and I really don't want boys to see you like this, and it must be uncomfortable for you too" and Hanuel looked at her shirt.

"Holy Shit!" Hanuel cursed and she ran to washroom to change her uniform when she noticed her shirt. After sometime she returned to her classroom after changing. Hyunjin was still there inside their classroom waiting for her. Hanuel went near him, "Th-Thankyou Hyunjin."

"It's okay and take care of yourself."

That was the first step how he got into her mind. Then she started noticing his presence and she started caring about his actions. In the Senior Year of her high school, she lost her dad and she was depressed. Being from a rich family, she didn't face any financial problems but she wasn't in a state to deal with anyone. Her life without her dad was like a body without a soul. She missed him a lot.

Jay graduated at that time but he didn't leave her alone, he used to irritate her, specially while going back home, she used to fight with him nearly everyday. She was exhausted as heck, and the pressure as the runner up of the class; she just couldn't deal with it. And she was starting to get affected by Hyunjin's actions too. She was getting tired; she got no one except Minnie but Hanuel couldn't bother her everytime. Jay was making her life hard. He used to argue with her in the streets and always forced to accept the gifts. But Hanuel used to throw everything away in front of his face.

And something, happened one day.
