Do you know him?

She did not turn around nor did she give him an answer. She stayed still. Tears welled up in her eyes.

He was back! After all these years, without even leaving a single message, he came up casually and says a word! How dare he?

She composed herself and turned slowly. She still looked at him impassively.

Bai Ying who was hours late…. in coming to the airport saw this scene when she came to pick her friend. She got angry when she saw some unknown man holding her Xia'er hand.

She came and tried to pull Li Xia's hand from that man's grip.

"Let go of her hand immediately. Or I am going to smack your face! I am a black belt in karate... Do you know that?" she started her antics as soon as she came.

Zhang Quan did not even look at her. He was still looking at his Xia'er.

"Why don't you say something?"

Though he hoped that she will forgive him, he will accept even if she scolds him, throw a tantrum or even beats him. He was waiting eagerly for her to say something.

"Do I know you?"

Her melodic voice which used to drive him crazy, now ran stakes through his heart. When he was about to say something… she pulled her hand from his grip and left.

He was stunned.

"Don't you really know him?"

Bai Ying's voice reached his ears. He was waiting for her answer. He also wanted to listen why she acted like that.

"No. I don't know him!" she declared decisively.

Zhang Quan stood there in the same position until his driver came to him and called him. He did not even know how he reached the car.

"I DON'T KNOW YOU!" her voice was still ringing in his ears.

Though he was stubborn on the outside, his heart felt complicated.

He felt guilty, for, he had to leave her abruptly. He was angry at her because she acted as if she didn't know him. He was sad because she chose to act indifferent towards him.

He would have felt happy if she had thrown a tantrum at him. But he laughed at himself.

She was always dense when it came to feelings. She will mask her feelings very well. She will run away from complicated emotions. He already knew that.

"You really had the gall to say that Xia'er? Then I will make you remember me. Hump..."

After Li Xia reached the apartment she did not talk with Bai Ying and locked herself in her room. She was sad.

She did not know why she had to meet him in the airport. Her mood was already bad. Now it was worse.

She changed into her pajamas. She was thinking repeatedly over what happened in the airport.

When she remembered how she had reacted, she was confident at first. Then she felt guilty. But at last she felt embarrassed.

She jumped onto her bed and rolled on it. Then she hid her face in the pillow and began scolding herself.

Bai Ying could not see her stupid behavior anymore.

"What is it? Why are you acting like a fool? Do you have fever?" she wanted to tease her a little bit.

But Li Xia began sobbing.

"What is wrong with you Xia'er? You! Have you gone crazy? Why are you crying for no reason? Tell me what happened? Was it because of that dude in the airport? Did he try to do something?" she rained questions on Li Xia.

"No… Maybe... (Hiccup) hormone problems. I… I am not feeling good." Bai Ying rolled her eyes.

"First of all you should learn how to lie properly. You are good at lying to yourself. But you suck at it when it comes to others. Now look at me and tell me."

Li Xia looked at her and slowly began spilling beans.

"So that dude was your best friend? He ran away without telling you. You are angry at him for that and you should be! You acted like that in airport to spite him but now you feel guilty?"

"No… I... I feel embarrassed." Li Xia avoided her eyes.

"Do you love him?" Bai Ying dropped a bomb.

Li Xia widened her eyes as big as saucers, "Are you insane??" she shrieked loudly.

"He is my brother!! He is like a big cousin to me. No!! I don't… I mean I love him but as a friend…." She began blabbering. Bai Ying saw her like this and smirked.

"Then why are you so angry at him that you acted as if you don't know him?"

"Because… I told you…. that he didn't say a goodbye. How can he do that?"

"Is that all? That is why you are so angry at him? If I were to meet a friend whom I haven't met in a long time I will go hug him and then punch him till my anger is vented."

"But… he didn't..."

"Say a goodbye! I know sweetie… you are angry because of this or because he left you in the first place."

"What? Left me? He left the country all together…"

Bai Ying did not probe her any further. She did not tell her that she was not angry but she was acting possessive. She felt that she owned him.

'My dear bestiee…. finally! You are in love!!'

Bai Ying smirked at the thought.

'You will realize it soon dear!'
