Every player would spawn in a tutorial town, the goal of the town is to give the player a taste of the game. The NPC would be nicer than usual, the monsters would be vulnerable and completely feeble-minded to make it easier for the player. Most importantly there would be many different schools to teach the player about their speciality. All of this does not mean that the town would be a care-free paradise, rather it was still really dangerous with danger lurking around the corner every moment. However, every player would spawn with 10 silvers to avoid sleeping on the street, get some gear, and generally have a free pass the first few days.
The town was shaped in a way that there were four roads straight roads going their separate direction. with buildings covering the rest. a lot of all the buildings were three stories tall and made out of wood or stone. On the first floor on almost every building, he saw a stall with a vendor screaming to sell the wares. Some vendors sold potions, some swords, some bows, some armour, however, they all seemed quite low quality. Nevertheless, the city was truly a lively place, all around there were noises. He could see as many different colours as he could humans, he saw knights, some of them with new and shining armour, whilst others had battle-worn and scarred armour, he saw men with long grey beards walk around in robes. In one alleyway, it almost looked like shadows were moving around. A lot of them had pets around them but some were walking with giant beasts. Jake scoffed at the notion of having such a giant beast as a pet. He could hear water splashing behind him, as he looked he saw a giant fountain, which was reflecting the sunlight which made it quite dazzling.
He tried moving towards the fountain but found the action proved difficult. He had something extremely heavy on the left side of his waist. He looked down and saw a pouch, he tried to pick it up with his left hand but it would not budge. Jake kept sending commands to his hand but it would not move a centimetre, he internally started screaming at his hand 'Move you limp piece of shit sub-human neanderthal piece of shit'. Jake was naturally quite toxic as a veteran League of Heroes gamer, generally, calling people sub-human was his go-to insult. After many grunts and moans of unsuccessful labour he could not get it to move, he tried moving his right hand and it worked but it was surprisingly heavy and clumsy almost as if he had to carry 10 kg extra. He grabbed his left hand, which was surprisingly hard and cold, into his vision and what he saw made him lose his vision and pass out. Whilst he was passed out a strange figure made his way towards him.
"10 minutes later"
He woke up in unnatural position, like a "c" touching the ground with his bent back. He felt something quite large and sturdy supporting his stomach. Then he felt vibrations in his body and realised that he was moving, he tried moving his head up but then realised that with how weak he was he had to give extra effort only to move his head up. When he looked forward he only saw an alleyway, then he looked to his left to see a man. The man wearing his head a giant scar going from the left side of his forehead down to the right side of his mouth.
"uuh" the man grunted when he noticed that Jake was awake.
Then Jake felt a sharp sting in the back part of his neck and fainted
"A few hours later"
He woke up in a sitting position with his wall against a cold surface. He was stuck in an iron cage and noticed that there were multiple iron cages around him, all with someone in them. He was still in a half-awake state when he heard large clanging noises followed by a voice.
"Listen up," he said with an air of authority, "and listen up well because I will only say this once. Today each one of you has been kidnapped to fight for our enjoyment" He waited a few seconds to let it sink in, "Right now however all of you are about as strong as a toddler" he chuckled, "To make this more interesting, we will train you for a total of five, yes five, keep that number in your head, five days. Then you will fight, the winners are given their freedom back whilst the losers... well I don't think I need to say what happens to them, do I." He said with a smirk, "The training starts tomorrow, so TRAIN HARD" he screamed, " because you don't want to lose do you".
And so the light was taken off only darkness was left, with someones white shining eyes sticking out.
