A question popped into Jake's head, 'Where did all of these people come from?'. They had not seen anyone on the way here, which was strange. Jake kept on looking. The guards kept up their scam, Jake waited for somebody who could not afford to pay which eventually came. It was a young man who was dirty, poor with torn out clothes. He made quite a fuss about not being let in, he got the same treatment as the boy, if not a bit worse.
After he realised his scenario he started walking north, in other words to the left of the entrance. Jake and Rudolf started trailing him, they probably did not have to be so stealthy about the entire thing but it's always better to be safe than sorry. Well, in most cases at least.
The boy kept on walking for a few hours, then they noticed where he was walking. There was a smaller version of Blue City ahead. The city as a whole seemed to be more farm-oriented, there were farms everywhere. The city had the basics structures, it even had its own adventure hall. 'There might also be a rogue hall' Jake thought. Theoretically, they were in debt but Jake still had one silver left from the snakeheads he had sold.
It was always best not to hide from one's problems, they started walking over to the adventure hall. The adventure hall was filled to the brim as always. They walked over to the clerk and explained their issues honestly. The clerk nodded and told them that they had to hand over 10 silvers as a punishment. Again, they were honest with their current situation. The clerk then said that the Adventure Hall will fill in but that you would have to pay 200% of the debt within two weeks. Jakes and Rudolf's mouth collectively dropped. They could not do anything about the current scenario, but they did curse that midget wherever she was right now.
Something Jake had not thought about was, 'how are we going to find the rogue hall?'. Last time they followed some rogues, would they do the same here. The issue was that there was close to no activity in the alleyways because there were very few alleyways here. The buildings were separated by quite a distance which made every spot quite lighted. It did not seem like they had a sewage system here. After about an hour of searching, they could not find anything and gave up.
It was just about sundown and they returned to the adventure hall. They would have to gain money the legal way, they looked at the quest board and looked for a quest.

How hard could killing goblins be, they were the easiest monsters in most games, they could slay goblins for days and not be tired. It was free money and they decided to take it, they ripped the paper of the quest board and walked towards the clerk to accept it. Jake spent his last silver for food and a place to sleep.
The next day they made their way to the village Karat, it only took about an hour of travel before they arrived. The village was average, a normal farming village. They asked a farmer walking by where the village chief was. He pointed towards a building and kept on walking; Rudolf and Jake made their way towards the building. Inside the building, they found a wild west looking jail with an old woman sitting in the back doing paperwork.
"Who are you," she asked in an accusing tone.
"You hired adventurers to exterminate goblins" Jake responded.
"Right, well what do you want from me"
"I want to know where the goblins are"
"Right"
She got up from her chair and walked out of the jail. First, she walked over to a spot that had been burned and explained that the goblins had burned the building after an attack. She walked over to the farm animals, telling them that they had been killing the animals. Rudolf was thoroughly interested in the story, whilst Jake was getting a headache from all the talk. She told them about how one of the village boys had found tracks in the forest. She walked into the forest and showed them the track, then she left Jake and Rudolf.
The track was showing a multitude of small footprints, 'it must be goblin footprints' Jake thought. They decided to follow the tracks, it was longer than they thought and got deeper into the forest by the second. The air around them felt wet and dense, the heard their feet making a sound against the dirt. One hundred meters in front of them was a hill, on top of the hill there was a wall of logs. The logs were pointing outwards with the ends sharpened. 'If the goblins created this they must be smarter than we had assumed' Jake thought.
Jake was still really weak if the enemy got close and he got hit. He had no way to reciprocate his wounds, he was weaker than glass, his only protection, if they got close, was his demon form. In perspective, if he could run 100 meters on 10 seconds he would run it at 8 seconds with demon form. If he were to get swarmed, or if someone strong got close to him he was dead. On top of that, he could only be in his demon form for 1 minute.
They hid behind a tree and talked about how they would accomplish this, this is what they came up with. Jake would climb up a tree, use his shadow form and act as a sniper. Than, Rudolf would go into the camp and fight the goblins. This way, Jake could completely focus on supporting Rudolf without having to worry about his own safety. Rudolf's fire could work well as AOE against small creatures such as goblins.
Once Jake had gotten far enough up into the tree, he signalled to Rudolf that he was ready. Jake used his eagle eyes to look down on the camp, it was very simple. They had a large campfire in the middle and a bunch of tents around it. He did not see any activity inside the tank, 'the goblins must be active during the night' he thought.
Rudolf ran up to the camp, he was hyped for the upcoming battle. He had to get into the village and it was proving itself quite a difficult task as he circled around the camp. He saw the gate and tried to open it, but it was locked from the inside. His hype turned into anxiety when he could not get in, he gave up in trying to get in sneaky. It was never his style, either way, he used his charge ability on the gate and the gate fell forward. The entire action made a large "boom" sound as the gate crashed towards the floor. A goblin went out of his tent to investigate what had happened when he saw a flaming man and a fallen gate he screamed in his own language "ENEMIEEES". What had once been a silent camp turned into a cacophony of goblin noises.
