Experimental Food

After a few hours, the Anteiku Cafe is officially closed. The manager who's talking with Ryouko looks serious. Lou doesn't know what they're talking about but he doesn't care.

The problem here is Touka who looks angry in front of him, he doesn't know why and when she becomes like this.

"So….. why is your face like that? Did something bad happen?" Lou asked.

Touka whose face looks like crumpled paper dissatisfied said," It taste spoil rice..... "

"What spoiled rice?" Lou confusedly asked.

"Are you a fool or are you trying to play like a fool?" Touka angry whispered.

"I really don't know what you're talking about," Lou spread his hand as if he didn't know anything, then he took the coffee and took a sip.

"When I eat there's a simple taste I usually taste, that is rotten, hard, and sometimes is puke just from the taste of the food,"

"But yesterday is different, I tried to eat because you said it, do you know what kind of taste I tasted yesterday?"

"Ohh~ I remember it now," Lou, who tried to play like a fool, was surprised said.

"So how's the taste?" Lou curiously asked.

"It's terrible...… I taste something like spoiled rice for the first time in my life," Touka seriously said while looking at Lou.

"Then congratulations, at least, you don't need to taste like rotten meat or some disgusting taste," Lou said.

Touka suddenly becomes silent. She doesn't know how to talk to this kind of person, and it's hard to talk to people who act like fools.

Lou looks at Hinami and asks," Your a Ghoul too right? Hinami-chan?"

Hinami grabs Touka's hand while nervously shaking, she knows that their identity should always be hidden or else they will be hunted by the Organization if they find them.

Lou then takes something in his pocket and puts it on the table.

Touka and Hunami look at the red bundle of cloth on the table.

"What's that?" Touka asks.

"You know….. I'm an Alchemy….. More precisely I'm a professional Knockoff Alchemy, this is the thing I created last night before I slept," Lou then opened it so that they could see what was inside.

Both girls see a Jade Color Oval Candy inside, they know that they can't eat it but for some reason, they both feel tempted just from looking at it.

Not only that, they also smell a sweet essence coming from it that makes their appetite awake.

"What's this?" Touka nervous asked.

"Experimental Candy No.1," Lou said.

Experimental Candy No.1 ( Food Item )

A special candy for Intellectual Ghoul that is pretty useful to quench their hunger while letting them full for a certain period of time.

Remark: Good for 4 weeks, keep it in the cool place don't over eat it.

That's right, Lou makes a special food item using his own Cooking Skill and Knockoff Alchemy and this is the result of a candy specially made for Intellectual Ghoul.

"What did you use to make this?" Touka asks.

"A bunch of Monster Meat, herbs, and special ingredients... Why not try to guess what the final ingredient is?" Lou takes one and passes it to Touka.

Touka looked at the thumb size jade color candy in her hand, she was really tempted to taste it but she stopped after remembering the taste of normal food.

She picks it and smells it carefully, she can easily smell sweet like honey essence coming from it, she can't smell any kind of meat or herbs as if this candy is purely made from honey.

"Can't guess? Why not try to lick it?" Lou said.

"Are you kidding me? You know that we Ghoul want to eat normal food right?" Touka angry looked at Lou but she was dazed seeing Lou did.

He takes a piece of candy and throws it in this month then chews it like he is enjoying the flavor of the candy.

"Y-You really eat it?" Touka was amazed.

While Hinami dazed looking at the boy in front of her, he actually saw that disgusting food, and he looked like he was enjoying it.

"No, maybe you're trying to fool us, we know this technique," Touka said.

"You mean the 10 chew and gulp?" Lou opened his mouth and showed them the candy melting in her tongue.

"See? I did not fake it,"

"You really eat it…" Touka was dazed, seeing the full proof that Lou really ate the candy, seeing her face made Touka and Hanami want to puke.

"What that sour face, here take one," Lou takes one candy and shove it to Touka's mouth using pure speed.

"YOU-!" Touka wants to take it out but she suddenly stops, she carefully tastes the candy in her mouth and says," I-I can really taste it…."

Hanami nervously looks at Touka, seeing her look dazed, she dont know why this gentle brother did it to her but she looks okay.

"Why not try it, Hanami?" Lou gently asks.

Hanami looked at Touak and the candy on the table, she then looked at Lou's gentle smile and nervously nodded.

"T-Then let me try….."

Hinami shaky reaches at the candy and slowly opens her mouth, she then nervously puts the candy in her mouth and then closes her eyes and waits for the disgusting taste to appear.

But it's opposite, she actually tastes sweet honey-like taste coming from her mouth, it's a kind of sweet that makes everyone smile unconsciously.

Touka finally snapped out and whispered," I-I think i know the secret ingredient."

"So you finally understand why I added this simple candy to it." Lou then looked at them.

"You actually add your own blood as an ingredient!" Toukashokced from her discovery, this foolish man actually adds something that normal humans cant do.

"What's that face? Did you forget I'm an Alchemy, so blood is a simple regent for me," Lou said.

"......." Touka doesn't know what to say, who is in the right mind will use his own blood as regent.
