The Frozen Man

The scientist standing around looked at each other in confusion as the man stepped out of the chamber he had been in.

The man was 6 foot 7 inches in height. He had a muscular build, his arms and torso being ripped with muscle. This was rare as not many who went though the freezing and defreezing process could keep their muscles. He had short pure white hair and gleaming white teeth. He was currently completely nude, which showed a couple of scars around his body due to the hard work he had did back before he was frozen.

He looked around then turned and he walked to a small air tight cabinet on the wall. He reached forward and pressed in a short code on the keypad. '1998' was what he put in and he pressed enter, it then opened revealing some clothes, a wallet, and a phone along with a single key. He put the clothing on and grabbed the other things putting them in his pocket. He was now wearing a black t-shirt and a pair of black jeans along with a pair of sneakers.

At this moment the lead scientist walked forward. He coughed once then started speaking. "Sir, may we ask you a few questions?"

The man turned to the scientist. "Sure, I don't see why not."

The scientist smiled softly. "That's good. So may I ask what your name is?"

The man smirked slightly. "Jack Mason is thy name."

The scientist nodded once and wrote something on his clipboard thats been in his hand this entire time. "When were you frozen and why?"

Jack shrugged gently. "I believe it was the year 2019. I was frozen till this time cause i wanted to experience paid online gaming for myself. Now is the best time for that so the computer unfroze me."

The scientist's eyes widen slightly at this and basically became dumbfounded.

Jack chuckled softly and turned leaving the dark underground chamber waving slightly. Outside on the side of a road he looked around. "This used to be nothing but country side... I see they've built more onto the city that was nearby even stretching all the way here... Well I need a ride..." Jack took his phone out and made a few quick calls then found the one that would get him a taxi. About 10 minutes after he hung up a taxi drove up in front of him and he got in. He pulled a piece of paper out. This paper had a address on it which he handed the driver. "Please bring me there."

Jack then took out his phone and started checking out online gaming. He searched tho thousands of posts, webpages, and existing game titles till he came to rest on Guardian Spirits Online. He smirked at this as he saw the discussions and views the post had. "Good everything is going as planned..."

The next moment the driver pulled up to the location of the address. "25 Points sir."

Jack blinked once then frowned. "Points? Um i have USD if ya can take that."

The man frowned. "I'd have to take the exchange amount. The USA no longer accepts USD in normal exchanges. But as a favor for someone I'll take the exchange amount of $50 USD and personally go exchange in."

Jack smiled and nodded as he handed over the exact amount from within his wallet. He then got out the car and headed up the stairs to his house. He used the key he had and opened the door walking in. A single maid was inside cleaning in the front room. "Ah who are you my good sir?" She asked softly.

Jack smiled. "Jack Mason the owner of this house."

The maid blinked and then shouted. "THE OWNER IS HERE." A few other maids and a single butler hurried out from other rooms having been making sure everything was ready, cleaned, and organized.

The butler stepped forward. "Good evening sir. Welcome home. We've been hired to watch over the house. Now that you have returned we will be departing all except for myself. I am tasked with helping you figure out anything you ask of."

Jack nodded slightly. The maids all started gathering their things and left. The one who had first spoken to Jack glanced back at him for a second before leaving though the front door with a flash of purple and blue hair.

Jack walked over to a couch and set down. He started to scroll though some posts on his phone and started ordering the necessary equipment for Guardian Spirits Online. He had a debt card that was given to him that had already automatically exchanged the money that had been on it into the current Point currency.

He checked a few things then put in the order and paid a little extra for the shipping to arrive by the next morning.

After finishing he decided to check his balance on his card. He currently had around 800,000 Points in his account. He smiled slightly at this then stood and headed to towards the garage.

The butler looked over. He was quite a bit into the years but he still had a very fit body. He was around 6 foot 7 inches in height. His hair was gray but with a slight silver-ish color to it. "Sir my name is Weiss. May I know how much you know of this town."

Jack turned slightly at the door of the garage. "Well my license is expired right now. So if you could bring me somewhere cheap to eat it would be appreciated. The only thing i really know to well currently is this house. I lived in it back before I was frozen."

Weiss nodded. "It would be an honor to do so."

Jack and Weiss both stepped out into the garage and Jack walked over to another box putting in the same code as with the cabinet in that dark chamber. As it opened there were quite a few keys inside it. He reached in and grabbed a certain one and passed it to Weiss.

Weiss's eyes widened at this. "A-Are you sure about letting me drive this?"

Jack nodded as he walked up to a slick Lamborghini and slide into the passenger side. As he did Weiss moved over and got into the driver seat. He started the car up and brought Jack to a nearby restaurant.

When they got there Jack stepped out and went inside to order some food. Weiss followed close behind. As Jack set down Weiss stood next to him. At this Jack looked at Weiss. "Sit down, you dont need to stand next to me."

Weiss blinked having never been told this before. "Y-yes, sir." He moved and set across from Jack.

Jack looked at his menu and then looked at Weiss. "Order something its on me."

At this a waiter walked over with a soft smile. She was around 5 foot 8 inches in height with soft aqua colored hair. She wore a typical waitress outfit. She smiled softly and said. "Welcome. I hope you are having a good time. My name is Willow. Anything you'd like to order my good sirs?"

Jack shrugged. "Two American Cheeseburgers." He says ordering for Weiss.

Willow nods gently and writes it down. "Drinks?"

Jack shrugs. "Root beer."

Weiss looks over at Willow. "Coke for me."

Willow smiled and skips off to the back to get it.

Jack then looks at Weiss. "I'm taking part in Guardian Spirits Online. Will you join me and be part of my party? I've already ordered everything for us both to play."

Weiss's eyes widen slightly. "If that is what you wish sir I'm honored to do so. I researched you a while back. You used to be a highly sought out Professional Gamer."

Jack smiled softly. "Great. We'll be starting tomorrow first thing in the morning."

Shortly after they finished talling Willow brought over their food and drinks. After about 30 minutes of them eating in silence Jack stood and went pay for the meal then the two headed home.

When they arrived at the house a large box was sitting outside the front door which Jack went collect. Inside were two Full Dive Virtual Reality gaming sets. One of these he handed to Weiss. "Tonight before going to sleep choose an in game name. I'll speak with you over breakfast about our names." At this Jack collected his set and retired to his room. It was already close to midnight so he shrugged slightly and set up his Full Drive Virtual Reality gaming set and put it on entering Guardian Spirits Online as it just opened.
