Chapter 9

A loud silence filled inside of the car along the way back.

"Aya, where are you going? I'll send you there." I asks her while looking at the road.

But she's still quiet and she didn't even bother to answer me. I look at her and fuck! She's asleep.

It's getting dark now and the rain is still pouring. I continued driving to when suddenly the engine stop working.

Bullshit! Not this cold time.

I went out to check the car and unfortunately the wheel got a big cut. Goodness! I kicked it out of my frustration.

What now? How can we go back to the City. We can't even walk because of the rain.

I went back to the car and see if Aya's still sleeping.  I don't want to disturb her but we need to find a house to stay tonight.

"Aya! Aya! Hey, you need to wake up." I whispered softly in her hears.

She slightly opened her eyes and just stare at me like she don't have a problem.

"Hey! We need to look a house to stay tonight. It's getting colder here, Aya. Come on!" I told her.

I don't want her to be cold especially now that she's only wearing a thin white dress.

She moaned and said.

"I'm sleepy, Seb. Can we just wait here?" She closed her eyes again.

Damn this woman! She keeps on sleeping without thinking the possibilities.

"No! Come on, it is too risky and dangerous if we will just stay here in the car, Aya." I replied. Convincing her to wake up.

"What the fuck? Where are we? I remembered the movie entitled "The Wrong Turn". Seb, please I don't want to die here." She begged and she acted like a crazy woman.

I wanted to laugh at her but it is not the right time for jokes.

"No! It will never happen, Aya. I'm here, let's go now."

"But wait, we can call someone to help us. Where is my phone?" Amaya look at her phone cursed when she finds nothing.

"I can't, my battery is dead. Come on, let's find out a house there now." I went out and hold her hand tightly.

The rain became stronger and the wind became colder. We left the car on the right side of the road. I have no choice either.

We walked, we run, we search under the rain and dark night.

"Seb, I'm wet and I feel cold." Aya said, embracing herself.

"We're near Aya, hold on." I replied. I saw a simple house in the middle of the forest. It was made of wood but it looks great.

"There is a house over there, Aya. A little walk and we can rest."

We ran fastly until we reach the wood house. But there's no light inside of it.

"Excuse me! Is there anyone here?" Amaya shouted.

Silence. We just hear the sounds of different animals living in the forest.

"Stay here. I'll check it." I told her to stay and wait me outside.

She nodded and I went inside of the house. There's a small hole in the door and I use it to look what's inside.

Confirmed. There's no one living in this house. I kicked the door and luckily it opened.

"Aya, come on!" I call her and asked her to get inside.

We look at the house and it was abandoned for a long time. But it looks like there's someone keeping this clean an organize.

"Seb, look at this. There are food packs in the cabinet." Amaya shouted from the kitchen.

Food packs? I wondered so sudden.

I saw a fireplace and chimney in the living room and it's quiet interesting. I walked towards to the kitchen and take off my suit and polo.

"Did you check the expiration date?" I asked her, checking what to eat.

Amaya shook her head, sign that she did not check the expiration date. She's still busy and I'm too busy making a fire.

"This one is safe to eat. This one is not. This one is already expired a year ago." Amaya talk to herself alone. I walked back to the living room and make a small bonfire.

I saw Amaya walking and carrying a bunch of junk foods.

"Hey! Are you sure you gonna eat that all alone?" I asked her sarcastically.

She nodded and soon as she saw me topless, Amaya turn her head and she stumbled.

"Hey! Where are you going? Are you going back to the kitchen and eat all that food packs alone?" I pointed it out and she barely look away.

I know she is intimidated right now. I don't understand why women always act like they never saw a topless man.

"No!" She oddly replied, raising her angelic voice. She continues walking and put the food packs on the dusty floor.

"I forgot something, so I need to get it in the kitchen." She added, and walk. blunderingly.

She's weird. A beautiful weirdo woman.

I smiled secretly as I open one of the food packs. I stare at the window and still raining, I don't know if my polo will dry overnight.

"Amaya, where are you? I've been waiting here the food packs you forgot to bring with you earlier!" I shouted. Teasing her until she confess the truth.

"Yeah, coming! You're too excited!" I heard her replied irritatedly.

"I just count one to three, if you're still not here. Face the consequences, Amaya Robinson." I said while smile plastered on my face.

Silence. I don't know what she's up to but for pete's sake I want to grab her and let her sit beside me.

"1!" Silence.

"2" A loud silence.

"3" Still, a silence.

I felt something strange so I walk and search for Amaya.

"Fuck! Where are you? You're making me worried of you, Aya!" I told her.

I didn't see her in the kitchen and I saw the food packs in the cabinet. I roamed around and I saw a room that is opened.

I slowly walked and I saw Amaya's back. She began taking off her clothes when I accidentally step on an old wood floors that cause unnecessary noise.

She turns her gaze at me with her eyes widened.

"What are you doing here, Seb?" Amaya asks, covering her cold body with her arms.

"I'm... I'm waiting for the food packs so I checked up on you. You were not in the kitchen and I saw this room, I thought you were here and yeah. I mean, take your time." Fuck! Why I'm even lying to her?

I tried not to look at her but I can't. Suddenly, I remembered the night we met. The intense scene inside of my car.

Fuck! I shook my head, trying to get rid off those memories from my head.

"I saw this room as I get all the food packs. I felt cold and I look for a place where I can take off and hang my clothes." She simply replied.

"Did you find something to wear there?" I asked curiously.

"No! There's no one here!" She shouted.

"Come in the living room, there's a fireplace there and so that you'll not be cold anymore." I told her. But it is awkward for her to get out naked.

I even saw her body twice and there's nothing to be ashamed of.

"Yeah. I'm coming then!" She replied.

I walked back to the living room. Thinking if I can fall asleep without my bed.

I was about to take a nap when I hear footsteps coming near me. I slightly opened my eyes and I saw Amaya, well dress and her hair is wet and messy.

"Hey! Are you sleepy? I'm sorry, I waited my dress to dry. Good thing that someone changed my clothes." She said, smiling at me genuinely.

I remembered that Zach helped her. Is is Zach who changed her fucking clothes?

That bastard!

"Fuck!" I whispered. I don't want anyone touch her nor see what's beneath of her cheap clothes. Not even Zach.

"What's wrong with you? You're acting weird lately?" Amaya uttered. She opened one of the food packs without uttering a word.

"You like it too, right? You wanted it too! You wanted everyone to touch you, use you and pay you!" I don't know but I'm pissed right now. I didn't control my feelings and I shouted her.

"Why are you acting like you own me? I don't need you, and I never asked your help!" Amaya said. She walk out from me and I saw her teary eyes.

Shit! What I've done again? I let her cry again. I don't understand myself now.

From the moment I met Amaya, my world magically changed.
