Myticetus, the ice whale

Soon, the both of them reached the perimeter of the fire. Oakley, who did this many times during the past couple of weeks, walked into the ring. He passed through the flames and was completely unharmed. Neal's attention wasn't on him but on the woman behind him.

He was more nervous than her for he doesn't want to commit murder.

In the next second, she too stepped inside.

For one second, the flames became intense but they quickly went back to normal after she successfully passed the loyalty test. She heaved out a sigh of relief and walked toward the other three with a smile.

"Good…" Neal was satisfied and returned his focus to the fire. His mind was connected to the flames and he felt like they were an extension of himself, something like a hand.

With no worries about harming allies or any buildings, Neal went with full power. The Acacia wand in his hand started shaking violently as if it wanted to escape while the intensity of the flames grew by atleast threefold.

From the front, back, right, and left, the flames took the shape of a creature from each side. A dragon, a serpent, a phoenix, and something shaped like Glenn, the thunderbird rushed out away from the ring of fire in all directions.

*Boom* *Boom* *Boom* Boom*

Continuous explosions occurred while debris started falling in Neal's direction. The snow over one whole kilometer of surroundings melted down, turning the snowy region into a region that looked like it went through a volcanic eruption.

Excluding Neal, everyone was just stupefied by the scene before him with sweat drops on their foreheads while the person in question was trying his best to stop his wand to escape from his grip. The flames around the ring of fire were also expanding in directions without stopping. "Behave…"

Just when Neal thought that he had the wand and the spell under his control, all of a sudden, they heard a high-pitch scream in the surroundings, followed by the destruction of the barrier around the lake and the rise of a magical creature from the lake, which wasn't frozen anymore. If anything, it was boiling.

"Oh, No… Myticetus…" Oakley Avery didn't hesitate to take out a chair from his pouch. "Neal, let's go…"

"No, grandfather. Let's wait and see…"

***

Myticetus, the ice whale isn't that large when compared to even a normal blue whale.

This magical creature was roughly about 18 meters long, similar to that of Slytherin's Basilisk. But, in no way that it can be underestimated.

According to the history books, Myticetus is even older than the Basilisk. The ice whale was living for almost 3 millennia by now.

It is rumored to be the first ever magical creature born before humans were even created.

Some say that it is the guardian of the oceans and was said to be trapped here by evil ancient wizards.

Some say that it was just placed here when it was young as it became harder for its master to feed it.

Some say that it is omnipotent and knows everything that there is.

And some say that it is just a myth created by ancient humans and isn't real, just like the Kraken. It is also the reason there was no proper classification of this magical creature.

But, all of this holds no longer importance at the moment because it already made its appearance and the beast wasn't pleased by the temperature of the lake.

*Sqeeee* Squeeee*

Following the appearance of part of its body and the angry squeaks, water in the lake rose high into the air like some kind of hot spring before flexibly changing its direction toward the party of humans.

A huge volume of boiling water shot toward Neal and others. Neal hurriedly raised his shivering Acacia wand.

The black flames in the ring of fire became bigger and formed some kind of wall to protect its master but the steam of water blasted through the fire and made its way toward the target (Neal).

"We're going to die," screamed Malfoy in fear. Neal's facial expression hardened.

"Everyone, get back…" Oakley let out a shout before he shot a spell at his feet without using incantation.

Within no time, a huge rocky wall was erected from the ground for their defense.

"Alright, we are leaving…" Oakley didn't intend to listen to his grandson anymore and activated the portkey, which takes about 5 seconds to start the mass teleportation.

Malfoy and Patricia hurriedly grabbed the chair. Oakley tried to grab Neal but before it even happened, the erected wall was struck by the water beam and it blasted into pieces.

Everyone was hit by the rocks and flew in different directions. Malfoy had a weak physique, Patricia is a slender middle-aged woman, and Oakley is an old man. None of them were as fit as Neal who exercises daily and keeps his body in good shape at all times.

As a result, except for Neal, everyone was knocked out unconscious along with receiving heavy injuries, mainly due to the rocks hitting them at high speeds at various locations.

"Ugh…" Neal groaned in pain as he slowly rose to his feet. His eyes widened upon seeing a large bowhead whale rising above the water and floating in the sky.

From more than two hundred meters away, the whale looked straight at him before spitting out a stream of water once again.

Neal didn't have the time to think about the others or his body aches at the moment. He raised the Acacia wand to unleash a powerful fire spell.

"Pestis Incendium"

Neal tried to unleash the cursed fire to defend himself but the wand once again shivered violently. This time, he couldn't control it due to feeling pain in the injured wrist.

The wand escaped his body and fell to the ground.

Looking at the incoming water beam that almost crossed three-fourths of the distance, Neal didn't think of anything and took out his Basilisk wand from the pocket and unleashed a spell just in time.

"Expulso."
