"We should go back to our chambers now." Peter said.

I nodded my head but my body hurt, I wasn't used to it. Peter got up before me and put on a rob as he turned around he notice that I wasn't up. He looked confused then he notice I was bleeding.

"Was that your first time?"

"It was."

"How are you feeling?"

"Sore, my body kind of hurts."

"I'm sorry, I didn't realize it was your first time. I just thought that my father had tried you out already and that's why he was so determined to make you my wife. Or that the knights and generals all pledged to you because they had already had you and that's how you swayed them to your side."

"Your father just genuinely likes my brother and thinks he's a good worker and I remind him of his wife. I thought you had pieced together the rest on why they pledged to me."

"What do you mean pieced together, why did they pledge to you then?"

"Peter I'm the ghost that every knight tells stories about. I was raised the same as my brother, I saved all of their lives as least once. That's why they pledged to me, I had gained their respect already. Not by selling myself, and I never would of let your father lay a hand on me. I have to much respect to be someone's lover or mistress. Your father knows both of us fought for the empire and he asked for opinions on strategies and deals, I was never more than a trusted advisor to him."

"He choose you because he thought it would secure my position and that's it is what your telling me."

"He choose me because he trusted that I would help you and had the knowledge to do so. Along with the fact that I could help you on the front lines as well, he knew the people who stood against you wouldn't stand against me, it was strategic. It would also make it so I could go fight on the front lines or stay and be able to protect that capital. Originally he told me I would just be assigned as a guard for your protection as nobody would think I would be a threat. Peter your father ended up choosing me to keep you safe and in power."

"He choose someone who could go to battle for me and sway the people. Why have you been hiding it from me. I was only ever a pawn in the two of yours plan. I should of gotten a say or at least to of known, before it was to late."

"I didn't say anything because I thought you knew. Then we grew close and by the time I realized you might not of known it was to late."

"My father always get the last laugh, sending me into a loveless marriage just like he had."

"It doesn't have to be, everything we have felt for each other up until this point has been real. We are a real married couple and your still who I saved myself for. None of that is up for question, everything I said was true and I never intended to hide it from you. I just thought you knew or I would of told you from the start."

"You didn't tell me though. Your now my wife and the only queen to our people and empire. That won't change. I'm going for a walk you can stay here or come to the chambers if your feeling up to it but I need some space."

I knew he didn't know and I still wasn't being honest with him. A few minutes after he left one of my personal maids came in. She told me Peter had sent her to draw a warm bath and help me get ready for bed back in our chambers. He was still being kind despite what we had hidden and what he didn't know was still being hidden.
