Hidden Valley (1)

She placed her hands on the doors and pushed them open. Her eyes burned with fury when she saw Kim Sang Chul standing in front of the class with his hands behind his back saying the alphabet characters to the class.

She saw on his face that he had bags under his eyes, his breathing was hitching after every time he spoke. His tears were watery and his nose was runny.

"Didn't I tell you to not wake him up!" her voice boomed through the class. Rucheng waved her hand and sent Lady Hong flying through the pavilion walls. Not only was it her pavilion bout the ten others beside her pavilion.

Her fury sent tremors through the ground into the surrounding area. All teachers immediately evacuated their students from their respective pavilions and gathered outside. Inside the Silent and Wise pavilion, Rucheng's fury calmed. She walked up to Sang Chul and picked him up in her arms. She cradled him like a baby and he immediately started crying. Hearing him cry a few of the children from her class started crying too. She frowned because normally this wouldn't happen.

She saw that Mei Hao was one of the children who weren't crying. She stopped in front of her but saw that Kwon Min Xiao walked over to her; before she could ask he reported, "After you left the first thing she did was wake Sang Chul up and when he struggled to stay away, she hit his hands. She made us count, name characters as well. She made him stand in front of the class and say them with us."

She nodded her head, waved her arm and peaches flew out of her basket in the corner of the class and landed in their hands, "Sit and eat, Min Xiao, look after Sang Chul for me okay?" Min Xiao sat down on the floor and she laid Sang Chul down on the ground with his head on Min Xiao's lap. She leaned down and kissed his forehead, "Sleep, it's almost home time."

She made sure all her children were settled then vanished. She appeared where Lady Hong was being helped up. When the people who helped her up saw that it was Rucheng, their steps faltered, "I warned you didn't I?" Rucheng asked a slight conscious Lady Hong.

She grabbed her by the neck and squeezed. She squealed in her grip. Before Rucheng could do anything further, a strong hand squeezed her shoulder. She turned her head to look who it was and saw that it was a man who had an amused smile on his face.

"Who are you and what do you want?" she asked looking at the handsome and dashing man.

The man frowned, "Rucheng, what's wrong with you?" he asked her. He stepped back when he saw her eyes glow gold as she let go of Lady Hong's throat and turned to look at him. She folded her arms across her chest and tilted her head, "I'm sorry but who are you?" she asked him.

The man scoffed at first but then looked at her seriously. Rucheng's eyes returned to the brown it was and looked at him. He saw in her eyes that she really did not recognise him.

"It's me, Wol Ryeong," he said confused. His friends who came with him looked at her confused as well. This woman who had been courting him since she first laid eyes on him, didn't recognise him, one of the pillars of the Heavenly University.

"Okay," she said and turned her attention to Lady Hong who made it across the courtyard with the help of a few people. Rucheng held out her hand ready to do something but she didn't know what. She sighed heavily and turned around. She saw that this Wol Ryeong was still staring at her. She looked behind him and saw that there was major damaged and was sure that she was the cause of it.

'I can repair this no?' she asked herself and the pin in her hair trembled. She felt a pulse move through her body and the buildings repaired themselves.

"Rucheng?" Wol Ryeong called her. Her eyes turned sharp and looked at him.

"Don't act as if you know me. Its Lady Qin not Rucheng to you," she said and walked off. She was so angry that her prey got away and it was all thanks to this Wol Ryeong person. She arrived at her class and the bell in the centre of the university rang three times.

She sighed when she walked into the class and saw her children talking to each other and enjoying their fruit, "Who else wants another fruit?" she asked and they all raised their hands excitedly.

She nodded her head and waved her hand again. Peaches and apples flew through the air after going through a waterfall she created after wishing she had water to wash the fruits.

The children held their hands up to catch the fruits while they requested what they wanted. Some chose both while others chose two of one.

They all sat on the floor while she took Sang Chul into her arms and rested him in the corner of the classroom on a bed of cloth.

The doors opened and the first parent came in to fetch their child. She took note of who it was that they came to pick up and to her surprise and the parent's surprise, the little boy ran up to Rucheng and hugged her legs. She smiled down at him and bent down to hug him then kissed him on the cheek. He ran back to his mother who looked at Rucheng oddly, her son yelled, "See you, tomorrow teacher," and left with his mother.

The same thing happened with all the children who left one by one and finally, Wol Ryeong arrived at her class. She frowned as he entered. Wol Ryeong saw the unfriendly look on her face and asked, "Why are you looking at me like that Rucheng?"

She tilted her head, "Why do you know me?"

He was about to answer but Min Xiao pulled on her sleeve. She looked at him and her frown turned to a warm smile, "Yes?"

"Wol Ryeong is my older brother," he said and she just stared at him with a frozen smile. She straightened herself and forced a smile at Wol Ryeong, "Well then, see you tomorrow," she said directing her phrase to Min Xiao. He hugged her legs while eating his apple and said, "See you, tomorrow teacher."

Wol Ryeong took his brother's hand in his and walked off with him while looking back at Rucheng who completely forgot about him. She walked over to Sang Chul and woke him up gently, "Sweety wake up, I need you to show me where the army base is."

Sang Chul whimpered then continued to sleep. She sighed and picked him up; she waved her hand and the class rearranged itself then the doors and windows closed when she left. She stopped in her steps and looked back at the pavilion. She noted that it seemed to be programmed in her body to wave out commands while she didn't even know it.

She traced her steps behind Wol Ryeong and Min Xiao who noticed her. They stopped and the curious look on Wol Ryeong's face stated that he wanted to know what was going on. She walked past them and he spoke out, "What's wrong with him?" he asked.

"He has a fever," she answered while smiling down at Min Xiao.

"I take it that you'll be heading to the Military base with him?" he asked.

"Sure," she answered.

"We can accompany you since I am heading that way," he suggested.

"And why are you heading there?" she asked as she rolled her eyes.

"Brother is part of the pillars so he trains with them after lectures," Min Xiao answered with a smirk.

Rucheng raised a brow at him and just nodded. It went quiet and her steps slowed down. They walked side by side and Wol Ryeong's curiosity kept growing. Rucheng was acting awfully distant towards him and although he never liked it before, something just seemed off with her now.

They made it to the Military Base and the cultivators frowned seeing her walk side by side with Wol Ryeong and holding Sang Chul.

Min Xiao tugged his brother's arm making him look down. Wol Ryeong lowered himself slightly, "What is it?" he asked.

"Can we walk teacher to General Kim's grounds, she hasn't been that side before," he requested. Wol Ryeong nodded his head and looked at her, he noticed that she was looking around confused and cleared his throat, "This way, Lady Qin," he said minding the way he called her.

She nodded her head and thanked him. They made it to General Kim's ground and she saw that he was drilling his men in training. Her eyes widened at the number of muscles the men had and felt that she was in heaven. Wol Ryeong frowned when he took note of how she was staring at the men. He cleared his throat, "General Kim?"

This pulled Rucheng out of her daze and look up at him. She rolled her eyes when she saw how he looked at her with a smirk.

"Wol Ryeong," General Kim looked at him and walked over. He saw Rucheng standing next to him and saw his son in her arms. He frowned, "What happened to him?"

She looked at General Kim thinking that this man who had a few grey hairs looked handsome, "He has a fever."

"Nonsense!" he said dismissing her claim.

"How is that nonsense?" she asked him. He stopped in front of her and glared, "What do you know?" he asked making to take Sang Chul from her arms but she stepped back making him miss.

She looked at General Kim with a frown, "Your son has been sick for at least two days and you didn't notice yet you call it nonsense?"

"Two days?" he asked looking in between his son and her?

She nodded her head, "Yes, he said he was sweating last night and couldn't sleep because of it."

He narrowed his eyes as he thought of last night, Sang Chul's mother was complaining that he was sweating too much and this morning he said he felt dizzy but they dismissed it.

"Oh, so you know yet you sent your son to school still…" she said after reading his expression.

She stepped closer and pushed Sang Chul into his father's arms, "Make sure he eats later on and drink lots of fluids," she said and walked off.

"Bye teacher," Min Xiao greeted. She waved her hand and didn't say anything. The General and Wol Ryeong along with a few others, looked at Rucheng leaving with an uncertain feeling within them.
