chapter 11- new friends
a week later
at the park with racheal and Kelly

racheal is playing on the playground while Kelly is sitting on a bench watching
in the corner of Kelly's eye she sees someone hiding behind a tree watching the kids play
she recognizes the person to be one of the men from the Ally where she found racheal
Kelly realizes he's watching racheal
Kelly countines to sit but instead of watching just racheal she also watches the man behind the tree
Kelly goes around warning people about the man and saying that he's a kidnapper which isn't really a lie since he tried taking racheal and Kelly before
the man notices Kelly talking to other parents and he decides to take this chance to get racheal
Kelly sits back down on the bench and looks over to the playground and sees racheal playing but she also notices the man getting closer to a kid near racheal
Kelly looks over to the tree and sees that the man is gone
Kelly goes over and walks towards racheal and the kid
Kelly starts up a conversation while keeping an eye on the man
Kelly asks the kid who his parents were
"that's my big brother" the kid says pointing to a man sitting on a bench playing on his phone that looks to be about Kelly's age
the boy looks up to see Kelly staring at him and waves at her
Kelly motions towards the man, making him aware of what's happening
the boy gets up and walks towards his little brother, Kelly and racheal
Kelly whispers a quick explaination into the boys ears and the boys face turns to shock and fear
"hey are these your new friends Mikey" the boy asks to his little brother trying to keep calm and cool
"I just met them but yea" Mikey answers looking over at racheal
"how about we all go get ice cream?" Kelly says
"ok, but can they come with mommy?" racheal asks
"if they want to, I guess" Kelly says
racheal grabs Mikey's hand and they all go to get ice cream
Kelly looks back and sees the man glaring at Kelly

at an ice cream shop

"so let me get this straight, your her mother but not her real mother but you found her in an alley all scratched up when that guy and a few others tried to take her and attacked you" the boy says with a confused look towards Kelly while racheal and Mikey eat there ice cream
"yes and I don't know if he was really trying to get to your little brother or not but I do know that he might've been there to get racheal back and was planning on taking your little brother to" Kelly says taking a bite of her ice cream
the boy sits back as he tries to process
"well thanks for stopping my little brother from being kidnapped" the boy says
"what's your name anyway" the boy asks as he watches Kelly finish her ice cream
"my name's Kelly, u?" Kelly asks looking up at the boy
"my name's Isaac" the boy answers
"well nice to meet you Isaac and it was no problem helping out" Kelly says as she gets ready to leave
"come on racheal, papa will be back soon and I need to start making dinner soon"
"aw but I wanna play more" racheal says
"here's my number, we can set up a play date for Mikey and racheal sometime" the boy says handing Kelly a piece of paper
"please" racheal and Mikey ask giving Kelly the puppy dog eyes
"fine" Kelly says taking the piece of paper and putting it in her pocket
"I'll have Sean bring her over tomorrow so they can play" Kelly says
"is Sean her dad" Isaac asks standing up
"yea kinda, I'll give him your number so he can call you ok?" Kelly says
"ok then, bye" Isaac says taking Mikey and walking out of the store
Kelly throws the stuff away and takes racheal and leaves the shop

later at the dorm

Kelly's in Sean's room with racheal searching for her doll
Sean walks in
"what are you guys doing?" Sean asks
"oh hey, your back racheal left a doll and your room somewhere and where trying to find it" Kelly explains standing up
"found it" racheal says as she pulls a doll out from behind Sean's lamp
"I'm gonna go play now" racheal says as she runs out of Sean's room to the living room
Sean and Kelly watch as racheal shuts the door behind her
Sean walks towards Kelly
"so how was the park?" Sean asks
"one of the guys from the alleyway were watching racheal" Kelly says looking down and sighing
Sean's face turns to shock
"what did he do" Sean asks walking closer to Kelly who still has head down
"well he just watched for a while but when I got up to warn other parents cause I didn't want the other kids to get hurt, he tried to take her and this one kid she was playing with" Kelly says
"luckily I was able to signal the kids big brother and we left to go get ice cream to get away from the man" Kelly says
Kelly lays her head down on Sean shoulder as Sean wraps his arms around her hugging her
"I'm tired" Kelly says closing her eyes and resting on Sean's shoulder
"how about you get some sleep and I'll make us some food" Sean says walking Kelly towards his bed and laying her down
"btw racheal has a playdate tomorrow the guys phone number is in my pocket, I was hoping you could take her since I have to get some paperwork from the base and finish up a school project" Kelly says laying down
"ok, I'll take her tomorrow just get some rest ok?" Sean says as he watches Kelly fall asleep
Sean leaves the room while Kelly lays on his bed and rests
