chapter 16- escape

a few minutes later

Seans sitting by the metal pole he was chained to while Kasey is pacing around the room and Sam is sitting with Kelly waiting for to wake up

"have they seen me?" Kelly says in a weak tone where only Sam can hear

"no, not yet I wouldn't let them touch you let alone see you" Sam whispers to Kelly

"I'm sorry" Kelly says weakly with tears starting to roll down her face as she grabs onto Sam's shirt

Sam comforts Kelly as she silently cry's

"are you okay?" Sam asks whispering

"I don't know anymore I just dont want to be here anymore, I do t want to be anywhere anymore" Kelly says in a weak tone whispering with tears rolling down her face

"once we get out of here, I'll take you to my house and you can rest there as long as you need to nobody will disturb you I promise" Sam whispers wiping away Kelly's tear

"please" Kelly begs weakly

the door starts to open

Sean stands up and him and Kasey heads towards the door

the door opens revealing a guard lying on the ground and someone in all black walking in

"help me sit up, I don't have any strength to move on my own" Kelly says to Sam as she struggles to sit up

Sam lifts Kelly up and moves her to where she barely see whats happening as Sam turns her head around

"who are you?" Kasey yells as him and Sean back away

the strange person walks in

"you can call me gray but I think you'd know me better as dad" the man says as he takes off his hood

gray walks in and Sean and Kasey lead them toward Sam and Kelly

"don't come near her" Sam yells

"it's okay he's not our enemy" Kelly says in a weak tone

"are you sure" Sam's asks looking back at Kelly

"she's awake?!" Sean says as he gets ready to step towards her but stops

Sam looks back at them

"enemy or not I'm not letting you near her" Sam says to them

"is she atleast ok?" gray asks as he looks at Sam with a worried look on his face

"she doesn't know, so leave her alone" Sam says

"fine but we need to get out of here" gray says

"help me up so we can go" Kelly says to Sam

"ok I'll carry you on my back" Sam says

"well meet you outside the door" Sam says as she sits there still

"ok then" gray says as him, Kasey and Sean walk outside the door

"do you want me to get something to cover you up, so they don't see you" Sam asks as she gets up

"outside the door should've been a guard grab his jacket and we'll find something for my legs on the way" Kelly explains

"ok then we'll grab it on the way" Sam says as he helps Kelly onto her back

they walks towards the door but stop before reaching the door way

"turn around" Sam says before entering the doorway

Kasey, Sean and gray all turn around facing away from the door

"may I ask why we have to look away" kasey asks

"like I said, she doesn't want you to see her like this" Sam says taking off the guards jacket and gives it to Kelly

"now let's go" Sam says as they all start walking

"follow me the exit should be this way" gray says as they all start running down the hall towards a door

they take out the guards on the way and manage to escape and run into the forest as far as they could

they eventually stopped to rest for a bit and calm down Sam sat Kelly against a tree and sat down

"I'm sorry for troubling you so much" Kelly says with her a less weaker tone

"it's okay, all the matters is that we escaped" Sam says

"there should a cabin nearby, your mom's waiting for us there, it shouldn't be to far up ahead" gray said pointing up ahead

"we should be able to walk from here" gray says

"do you want me to carry her from here" gray says looking over at Sam who's blocking there view to Kelly

"no we should be fine if it's not to far ahead of us" Sam says looking back at gray

"ok then let's get moving" gray says

they all start walking Sean looks back at Sam trying to get Kelly on her back but keeps walking ahead

at the cabin

gray knocks on the door and there mom answers to let them in

gray, Kasey and Sean sit down on the couch while their mom helps get Sam and Kelly in

once their mom sees Kelly her face expression Turns to shock, fear and worry and hurrys to get Kelly to one of the rooms to get her wounds treated

gray, Kasey and Sean sit there in worry as they watch them try to get Kelly to a room

gray sits up and tries to go with them but her mom stops him and tells him to wait

a few minutes later Sam walks into the living room to sit down on the couch as their mom calls gray to the kitchen to explain

"is she okay?" Sean asks Sam

"shes resting right now so we'll see when she wakes up until then I'm not sure" Sam says looking down at the ground

Sean sits back on the couch and looks down at his hands nervously

"can you atleast tell me what happened?" Sean asks looking back at Sam

Sam looks at Sean nervously

"what?" Sean asks

"I'll let her tell you when she wakes up" sam says

their mom and gray walk into the living room

"here for your wound" their mom says handing Sean a bandage from behind

"thank you ma'am" Sean says taking the bandage and putting it over the wound on his cheek

"you can call me Bella" Bella says walking around and sitting on the couch beside Sean and gray sitting in a chair near the couch

"mom, is Kelly gonna be ok?" Kasey asks

"she should be fine if she gets enough rest" Bella says

"your a lucky young man, huh?" Bella says putting his hand on Sean's head

"what's that suppose to mean?" Sean says with a worried tone looking up at Bella

"you'll find out, how about we watch TV for now" Bella says turning on the TV

A few minutes later

a loud bang comes from Kelly's room

"she's awake" Bella says getting up and walking towards the room

"do you want me to get her pills?" gray says looking at Bella

"yea that would be best" Bella says

they hear the door to Kellys room open

"get back in there your not fully healed yet" Bella says rushing towards Kelly

gray gets up to help with Kelly

"where is he?" they hear Kelly say while Bella trying to get her back into the room

"I told you I'd let you see him when your healed now get back in your room" Bella says trying to get Kelly back to her room

Sean starts to get up as Kasey looks towards the kitchen

"stay here" Gray says looking back at Sean and Kasey and then going to help bella

"what's going on?" Sean asks walking over to Sam

"you'll find out" Sam responds as she watches Sean's face turn to anger and worry

Kasey gets up and gets Sean to sit back down

"she probaly had one of her nightmares again" Kasey says sitting back down

"that's what the pills are for is to calm her down" Kasey explains looking at Sean

"and if countines to act like this while shes wounded then we'll have to force her to go back to sleep" Kasey says

they hear a sound of glass shattering coming from the room

Sean and Sam stand up

"sit back down and wait" Kasey says looking at Sam and Sean as they sit back down

a minute later Bella and gray come back out to the living room

"is she calmed down?" Kasey asks looking at Bella and gray

"mostly, but I wouldn't really say shes totally calmed down" gray says as Bella takes Sean and they head towards the room Kelly's in

Bella and Sean stand outside the door to Kellys room

"here, she's looking for you so maybe you can try and calm her down as best as you can, but be careful there's shattered glass on the floor she kinda knocked over the glass cup, I'll be in to clean it up in a bit, gray scraped his hand on it so I need to take care of that first but I'll leave you to it" Bella says

"ok I'll try to clam her down the best I can" Sean says

"ok thank you" Bella says walking away into the living room

Sean opens the door and enters the room closing the door behind him

Sean looks around the door and sees Kelly on the bed curled up into a ball in the corner

Sean walks towards Kelly and as he gets closer he can hear Kelly silently crying

Sean sits on the bed infront of Kelly

"hey?" Sean says putting his hand on top of Kelly's head

"I'm right here" Sean says as he watches Kelly slowly lifting her head

Sean moves his hand away as Kelly lifts her head revealing her eye full of fear and worry with tears rolling down her face

"is it really, you?" Kelly asks silently

"yes it's really me" Sean says looking at Kelly with a smile

Kelly jumps on Sean hugging him knocking him back onto the bed with Kelly now laying on top of him and he hugs her back, holding her tight

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry" Kelly says holding Sean tighter in her arms

Sean and Kelly sit there holding each other until they both fall asleep

a few minutes later Bella walks in to clean up the glass and see Kelly and Sean laying down on the bed holding each other

Bella smile and cleans up the glass off the floor and leaves the room
