Chapter 19

It didn't take long for both of them as Tang Ziran's house was incredibly close to them. But when he was taking her with him he realized there were few thug looking people around the street corners. From looks of things if he wasn't there then pretty bad things could have happened to Na'er. After seeing them she probably understood it too, as she got closer to him and started hugging his arm. Almost like she was trying to shield herself from them. But it looked like the thugs started to look at them too. It seemed like the two of them were looking too suspicious. After all you don't see a two cute girls together in the streets. So they decided to go there and say hello to them. After getting close to them they circled them and had them cornered. Seeing the situation uphold people also turned their attention to them. And some of them even looked ready to fight against them, as they didn't want the two kids in front off him to be in danger.

But Hao Chen wasn't scared one bit. From what he could see they only seem to have one spirit rings. Only on which looked like the boss of this group was a danger to him. But he knew that he shouldn't fight with them. First he is weak for now, and while he was confident that he would be okay he didn't know the same about Na'er. So he decided to use his intelligence to get out of this situation. So he first didn't allow them to talk.

"Hello Sir, how are you doing."

"Ahh nothing is wrong little girl. What are you doing here, where are your parents"

"Ah i am simply bringing my sister to our home. You see our dad is spirit master and he was late from work. So we decided to visit him at the academy. But he told us to go home first as he would come back after us soon. And also i am a boy. And boys have to protect their sister from danger. Like how people would do something bad to us."

"Really who would do such a thing, in that case allow us to walk you home. We would be able to protect you"

"Ah it is nothing to worry about. After all i am Spirit master after all. If i can't protect our self from outside danger i am pretty sure our parents would. Ahh look at me, i am so clumsy. I have to go as we are already late. If we don't go now i am pretty sure our parents would be mad. They are probably going to start searching for us if we don't go now."

Saying that Hao Chen hugged Na'er and got out of there. While they were gone one of the thug says too his boss

"Why did you let them go boss. I am pretty sure that he was lying. And did you see that girl, she was literally shaking."

"While he was lying about quite few things he also told us many things us a thread. Like saying his dad was spirit master and they are going to look for them if they were late. Those were truth"

"How do you know boss?"

"There are few things you pick up when you are older. And if i make a deduction i would say the two of them weren't a brother and sisters. In fact i would go far as to say they didn't know each other until now. But it is okay to let them go. After all i could see it from that kids eyes that he knew what we were trying to do. Really kids know days become this terrifying."

As for the two kids who just got away from them were happy that nothing had happened. To say Na'er was shaking was understatement. If Hao Chen wasn't here who knows what would have happened. But now that was out of the way Hao Chen started to pet her hair to calm her down. He was trying to whisper into her ears that it was okay. Everything was alright. He heard that it calms people down when they hear it. And it seemed like it was working as Na'er stopped crying. Seeing her like this made Hao Chen sad. Not only did she not know where she even was, she also had been all alone for who knows how long. And when she finally met someone who was willing to help her then this happens. He could understand how she was feeling as he also felt like this once. But it only made him feel even worse as he understands that this is how this world works. No this is how life works. And it only fueled his desire to grow stronger. He wouldn't say he would change this world. But he would at least help others if he could. He is no saint, he is just a ordinary guy who has been reincarnated. But that would change way sooner than he could expect.
