Best meal Abby ever had with so little food

Abby placed the plates on the table and looked up at Rebecca who was bringing the food and her cup of coffee to the table.

Abby looked at the cup in her hand and said "hey Tracy that coffee must be cold, I can make you another cup if you want?" Rebecca looked at the cup and then at Abby while placing the food on the table she thought about the coffee and then politely said "no thanks there is only a small bit left."

Rebecca sat down and then stood up awkwardly, Abby looked up at her while sitting "what's wrong?" she quickly asked Rebecca move towards the kitchen while saying "we forgot the cutlery" and into the kitchen she disappeared out of Abby's sight only to return a few seconds later with 2 knives and 2 forks in one hand and a jug of ice tea in the other hand.

Rebecca sat down passed over a set of cutlery to Abby and said "let's dig in before it gets cold!" Abby looked happy she took her plate and dished some food, she waited for Rebecca to dish before she started to eat.

Abby looked up at Rebecca and asked "so are you going to tell me what happened at work today?" before taking the bit of the food

The moment she put the first fork full in her mouth Abby was hooked she thought she was drooling over the food it tasted to good to be true, but she took another fork full and whispered to herself "this must be heaven, how else can food taste this good" she paused and looked at Rebecca.

Rebecca was eating quietly she looked quite upper class the way she ate, Abby quickly shook her head and pushed the thought she was having from her mind and tryed asking "so wow this is delicious where did you learn to cook?" she looked up at Rebecca and waited for an answer.

Rebecca finished chewing and swollowed the mouthfull she just ate and said in a hushed tone "I learnt from a great uncle, he tought me lots of great recipes and how you can mix and match with ingredients". She sigh like she was remembering a really old memory that she almost forgot.

Abby was pleased at how happy she looked and started to eat again, after 2 more bites her plate was empty she figeted a bit when Rebecca said "what are you doing just have some more food I can see you like it".

With a big smile Abby dished the last helping of food from the bowl.

She sat back down quitley eating the food like it was the best thing she had ever eaten and savoring ever bite, she looked up to ask a question but stopped when Rebecca stood up and moved to the kitchen.

The next moment Rebecca was back with a tea pot, she sat back in her seat and pour Abby a cup, then she poured a cup for herself and started to drink without saying a word.

Abby was a little bit annoyed she took a dip of the tea and blurted out "so are you ever going to tell me what happened at work today?"

Rebecca was a little shocked because of the sudden out burst, she steadied herself with a hand on the table and tryed to get her bearings back before she spoke.

Rebecca was firmly in the upright position in her chair as she spoke "nothing major happened, the first thing was an accident where I bumped into one of the chefs, (side note he was cute) Rebecca thought and being called to the office was just to finalize all mu paper work".

The truth was that when she got called to the office she thought they knew who she was but it was really just to complete so paper work she missed, she was very warried but it all worked out.

Abby looked at Rebecca and asked "so how was your first day the way you worked today I would say your a pro at your job, like you have been doing it for years?

Rebecca looked up from her cup of tea and smiled she swollowed the sip she just took and said" nope that was my first time being a waitress, but at school they said I'm a social butterfly and have very good communication skills"

Rebecca sighed "it might of looked like I was doing a good job but I did make a few mistakes" she said even though the only mistake she really made was accidentally knocking into the sou chef at least that is how she though it went.
