Chapter 85: The Six Academies

[Airship]

Inside his room Shun could be seen doing some push-ups that he somehow started two weeks prior than the current timeline

"38... 39... 40... "

After shun managed to get to the number 40, he somehow had enough to the point that he tire himself out

As shun was doing this Yuumi could be seen sitting on the couch while flipping some pages from her own book, at that thought she begun to question Shun's action after she saw him takes a breather

"Can you remind me again why your doing this for the past two weeks?" She asked

"Huh? Well mainly it's for stamina, since I'm more adept in fighting close, why not use my free time to atleast train my body?" Said Shun as he gazed at his body

"I know it's not yet visible but at least I can't be called skinny as this muscles started popping up" he added after doing a pose of his masculinity

Seeing this Yuumi just decided to ignore what he said for a moment and focused on what she is doing

"Right..."

Hearing that Shun then sneered at her before turning his gaze outside only to see a visible landing spot that he could see just outside his window

Upon seeing this Shun was certain that they have finally arrived at their destination after 3 days traveling in the air

With that he clapped his hands as he told something to Yuumi before heading out

"Alright pack up, we've arrived...you can just continue that inside of a space where you guys reside" said Shun

"Huh? Already? Wow... Alright" reacted Yuumi after turning into a bright light and disappearing slowly as she turns into a particles of light

Standing on the deck of the ship, Rosalyn could be seen gazing down at the city that was encased around at the center of the mouth of a dead volcano

Upon seeing this she immediately felt majestic upon seeing it's size and even amazed by its history as a free city which was not controlled by any powers at all

Not only that Rosalyn together with Goran and Sonia could see the other airships from afar as they tried to park their own airships on the platform

"Looks like the other academies have arrived" said Goran as he gazed if there are any worthwhile opponent

"Looks like your finding your prey already" said Sonia after she saw Goran's expression

"Hahaha! Is that so? Looks like you found me out" laughed Goran

But seeing this sight of them made Rosalyn to comment about their thinking

"Goran? You can't do that, they may seem not like it but they are all representative of their respective academies and you know what that means..."

"...."

"....."

"They are strong" said Rosalyn after she looked at their expression

Around that time Shun finally came over as he wipes the corner of his sweat over and saw some airships landing unto the platform

"Are those the other academy representatives?" He asked

Hearing that Rosalyn nonchalantly replied

"Yup!"

"Wow! I can really feel the atmosphere of having a tournament" said Shun as he gaze at them

After that he looked at Rosalyn as he suddenly asked

"Your have the list of participants, Don't you?"

Hearing him pointing that out, Rosalyn suddenly chuckled as she held out a piece of paper in a elegant way

"Here, take a look"

Taking the list from her shun then opened if up for everyone to see

Seeing this list Shun for some reason have found another person that came from another world when he took a closer read unto it's name

"Akito Tomura... Tomura, Akito... Hehehehe"

Seeing that laugh coming from him, Rosalyn instead thought of it as Shun for some reason finding a worthy opponent as he looked at the list

But anyway it's wasn't her problem at that

At that moment Sonia suddenly spoke up as she directed both Rosalyn and Shun's gaze towards her

"Hey guys! Aren't we supposed to meet with them during the opening ceremony later on?" She asked

"Yeah! I think there was supposed to be that kind of scenario right?" Asked Goran

Hearing that Rosalyn of course provided them some information about the said event

"Well yeah! We will get to meet them later at the opening ceremony, after that we will have another two day training or preparation for the first day of the tournament, during the two day interval... not only are we going to prepare but also this will be the time when the crowd that will spectate it live would pop up in this venue...meaning this place would be full or crowded at that point"

"I see crowded like a market" nodded Goran

"Whoa!!!" Reacted Sonia

It didn't take long before the airship where they were on it landed unto the platform and some people of the city quickly assembling the lock underneath the ship

After securing that it was safe Shun and the others finally got off the ship that they left behind and have it's staff clean it along the way

After that they rode a carriage towards their own prepared manor that was made into a lodging for free by the money of the joint expenses of the academy

The moment they arrived they were immediately greeted by rows of butlers and maids on either side of the pathway

"Welcome!"

Seeing that even not only Rosalyn was surprised but it also surprised Goran and Sonia for their coordination that seemed to have no flaw whatsoever

"Interesting"

"Hahaha! I feel like a young heir of some household... Oh wait! I am a heir of some household! Hahahaha!!!"

"Wow! That was amazing!!!"

Upon seeing their own reaction only one word could describe them

'eccentric'

After that they somehow were led to their rooms and was immediately served by the servants of this manor

They're bags were taken, their prepared party clothes were in display (based on their preference), and even the food for their lunch was served

With that in mind all four of them soon arrived at the dining hall which only consisted of a small table in the middle of a wide room that was meant for a party celebration location

With this wide room, Shun for some reason felt suffocated just by seeing it's size

In the middle of it the four of them begun preparing for the upcoming event that will be held two days from now and the party that will be held later at evening

"So what do you think should be our impression later on at the party? Fierce? Arrogant? Confident? Domeanering? Or simply lie low?"

After Rosalyn asked that, Shun immediately raised his hand as he answered the question

"Lie low!!!"

After he said that both Sonia and Goran followed suite

"Confident!"

"Domeanering!"

With that Rosalyn in the end chose what she wanted

"Confident it is..."

Hearing that Shun suddenly grumbled from that decision

"Well that was useless... Why would you have asked that if you have your own preferences?" Asked Shun

"Well I would like to get your own opinions coming from you guys, isn't that supposed to be fair?" Replied Rosalyn as she puts on a smile as she drank her tea

Hearing that kind of answer made shun completely speechless as he contemplated for a bit about it before taking his turn to sip his tea

"That's some good shit" he unintentionally mumbled

Of course they just continued this way until they were all full as they took their own time for the break later on

But since it was still early and some airships coming from other places haven't arrived yet, Shun then proceeded outside of the manor while Rosalyn was busy handling her household affairs, whole Goran was training with the sword

Even thought he said that he would take a walk around the section of this large city, he in turn didn't expect that someone would actually join him as both of them have the same idea

"Hey! Hey! Shun! Look at that tall building... Is that a five storied building? It's so tall" reacted Sonia

Seeing her like that made Shun scoffed at her

"Hahaha! You didn't know but I've seen taller building before that storied 30 floors" said Shun in a smug

"30 floors? That's... Beyond amazing!!!" She exclaimed

"Hah! It's nothing"

"Wow! I wish I could see a tall building in the future too" she suddenly mumbled

"Then why don't you make one?"

Hearing that suggestion made Sonia for some reason lighten up

"Make one?!?! That's a great idea! I'll make the tallest building ever that will even touch the clouds" said Sonia with eyes full for admiration for tall things

Seeing that gaze even made shun wonder in the future where he would suddenly see a tall skyscraper appear out of nowhere

But after brushing that thought aside he and Sonia continued to roam the city for a while before going to the market place

After that Shun saw a beautiful Ruby pendant from the stall as he looked closely at it

As he took a closer look at it, the vendor for some reason saw this as an opportunity so she immediately gave it a push

"Ah! Young man, I see you've taken a liking to this Ruby pendant"

"Indeed I am... It's so beautiful that it remind me of someone" replied Shun

"Is that so? Then that person must have been really important to you... Ah the blessing of a youth" said the old woman vendor

Hearing that even Shun could only smile at her comment before asking for the price

"So how much is this?"

"That? Well I give to you for a the lowest price I could offer

"35 big gold coins"

"Pfft!!!! *Cough *cough"

Unintentionally Shun immediately coughed after hearing that price, even he as a commoner doesn't have that kind of money

Even though he has a lot of gold in his system pocket money, he still couldn't make use of it as such money was meant for the system not actual material things

"Can't you lower it?" Asked Shun

"Sorry kid but that gem is genuine, so it's price is pretty decent, if you sell that thing elsewhere then the price would be 40 big gold coins" said the vendor

"What!?!?!"

As Shun was contemplating about this price, Sonia immediately interjected in as she said

"In that case mam then give it to me!" She said

"Huh?" Reacted Shun in shocked expression

But nevertheless Sonia continued

"Here 35 big gold coins" she happily offered

Hearing that the vendor immediately gave the Ruby pendant to her as she took the money happily

After that Sonia walked away while holding unto the pendant

Seeing that even Shun was shocked as he approached her

"Hey!!! What gives?" Asked Shun with a look as if he couldn't believe that she took it just like that when he got his eyes on it first

Hearing his voice as if about to burst out in anger, even Sonia couldn't help but chuckle as she suddenly turned to a corner and leaned into the wall while facing Shun

"You like this pendant right? So how does it looks like on me?" She said while smiling at him and putting the necklace around her bare neck that was clearly visible to many

Seeing that Shun immediately answered

"I guess it looks good on you? But why?"

At that answer she then pushed herself off the wall and leaned forward as she took Shun's palm and puts the pendant on his hand

"Think of this as a debt, but you know what? I enjoyed seeing your reaction Shun, after all such reaction can't be seen when your fighting alone... Well anyway next time if you like to repay me then offer something equivalent to that price... Money is everything in this world Shun"

After seeing her walking infront of him like that, Shun then looked at the pendant that she suddenly gave after seductively posing like that on the wall

Rosalyn was smart, tactical and rich

Goran was arrogant, strong willed, and mysterious

Sonia was cheerful, fun, and seductively rich

Finally all he could say after witnessing their unique traits from the three of them was

"Dangerous! All three of them are too dangerous! Just what kind of hell did I put myself into?"
