Chapter 116: Spotlight

For a time Akito and Frederick had chosen to work together with Shun and Rosalyn before settling the matter with each other

At the moment their very own target was solely focused on the members of the Ascalon Academy

Since Ascalon Academy representative's are really strong bunch, they had no choice but to either work together or get eliminated, thus currently this collaboration of two teams are now planning on how to deal with the likes of Ascalon Academy

"Our time is limited by the way" said Akito

"What do you mean?" Asks Rosalyn

At that question Akito then glanced at Frederick, as the latter nodded and answered

"From the very first beginning of the competition, we've arrived at this place during nightime, meaning if we count it off till now then tomorrow will be the fourth day"

"And?"

"Fourth day of the week, and the prediction of the king is that we won't pass even 7days which is equivalent to a whole day on the real world... Now why did you think he would say that?" Asks Frederick

Hearing that Rosalyn then adjusted her seat as she replied

"The pressure... Since Ascalon Academy representative's are on the current spotlight in this round, they will be like a guiding light for the other team and gather attraction at that point... They will be really exhausted"

"Right... By that time can't we take it for our advantage? It is quite advantageous for us if we do it" suggested Frederick

As he suggested that idea, he really felt like they should proceed this way since they had no choice

But at this moment Shun came in and seated next to Rosalyn as he said his piece

"If we can think of that idea... Then the other party would likely thought of that as well, they are not stupid after all, this in the end this will be a battle of patience"

"How can you say that?" Asks Frederick

"I've got two facts at hand... First our side has much more combat prowess and will really give a hard time towards the other team, meaning we will be suitable for exhausting the enemy... Much suitable than them"

Hearing all of that Frederick then nodded as he understood what Shun was trying to say, of course Rosalyn gave Shun a hearty Pat on the back

After awhile Akito then joined in and said

"But we do have a third scenario and that is Ascalon Academy will take action"

"Indeed that is a possibility but at that time we won't know who will be it's target and there is also the possibility of them splitting up" replied Rosalyn

"But at that time when the moment really came, how will we deal with it? You know the matchup"

At that time they all put down every Intel they got as they planned they're next move, thus after careful consideration they begun putting down targets for themselves

"Since this girl named Rekka is an Archer, maybe I'll try my luck" said Frederick as he is specialized in teleporting which is detrimental for an archers aim

"Then I'll deal with Cynthia, even though I won't know how I'll fare with her" said Rosalyn as she eyed the the only overpowered mage support of the Ascalon Academy representative's

"Then... Doesn't that mean both me and Akito will be left with the big fish?" Asks Shun while having a bead of sweat fell down on his face

"You guys... Both of you wanted the both of us to die aren't you?" asks Akito as he too wasn't confident on winning against Lorius

At that mention Rosalyn then waved her hand as she said

"Oh please... Both of you won't die, just think that both of you are the protagonist of you own story, maybe you won't know that both of you may have a hidden plot armor within" teased Rosalyn as she glanced at Shun

Seeing that Shun really regretted about telling her the meaning of plot armor on the passing days of their break

"Well anyways good luck to the both of you" cheered Rosalyn

"Don't worry! We will make sure that both of your ashes will be given to your family's in return" added Frederick

Upon hearing their words, they almost couldn't help but smack them with facts that both of them came from another world thus Frederick's suggestion made no sense to them at all

But despite that both of them kept their secret well hidden from this two advantageous taker's

"The both of you are really an opportunistic people" remarked Shun

"Don't blame us if we squeeze you dry of your wealth one day" said Akito as he planned for the future extortion

At that moment these two particular parties finally drew out their plan for their move in case anything happens out of their expectations

With that they soon passed the night of the third day and arrived at the fourth day of the match

Just like usual almost nothing particularly happened on that day as Shun's clones kept watch any movement in the Forest Area and various other locations

In their intelligence they predicted that the other Academy must have reach a consensus and planned to work together as a group, thus bringing Horoscious Academy, Ballad Academy, Elludkal Academy into a one whole cooperative group just like their own

Due to that Rosalyn then brought in everyone as they planned for the next step

"Looks like the cooperation of the three other Academy's have commence and chose the most taxing choice of all by stalling and adding in more pressure" said Rosalyn

"And from the count we can conclude that they are a group of three people" said Akito

At that moment Rosalyn asked Shun

"Any movement or activities?"

Hearing that shun answered

"Nope my clones have been out there for so long and yet they are most likely have spent all of their time comforting themselves inside the breezy bushes and shades of nature"

"Well that is better than hiding under a rock" pointed out Frederick

"Well we had no choice... Either choose a cave or freeze outdoor, and plus there is a merit ob being with them"

"And what is is that exactly? I wanted to know your thoughts" asks Frederick as he glanced at Akito for answers

"Well they have fire at Shun can create fire without any problem at all, plus we don't need to gather fire if we have a blowing torch"

"... Your idea of advantage is really outstanding" said Frederick in a sarcastic tone

Upon hearing that Rosalyn couldn't help but chuckle at the side causing shun to feel awkward at that moment

At this moment the day had reached about half a day for the match which indicated that it was already afternoon and apparently the crowd were enthusiastic about such activity as they watched each team trying to outsmart the other

At this mention they saw how the collaboration of three Academy's almost spewed out words exactly the same as the collaboration between Orbium Academy and Gritonnia Academy

But in the end both team applied for the patience tactic which became quite boring at that time, but since they can't involve themselves in the process, they instead had no choice but to wait for the groups on the screen to atleast do something about the standoff

At this time both Sonia and Goran finally came back to their representatives seat infront of Shun's group of friends as they slump down unto their seat seemingly anticipating the next match

"With this tactic of patience involved, this is all most likely Rosalyn's idea" said Sonia

"Indeed and looks like they arrived at a consensus with the Orbium Academy... These task is really pressuring"

"Well if we include all that we have contributed to this matches, we could say that Shun is the MVP of this round" said Sonia in a praising manner

"Indeed"

At this time Cedric came in between their conversation and asks about their views agaisnt fighting Ascalon Academy representative's

"So what do you guys think about they're strength?" Asks ced ic seemingly wanting to know more about Ascalon Academy representative's

Hearing that Wendy, Rachel, Aria, and Sephiria also looked over as they glanced with expectations on their faces

"Our thoughts about them?" Asks Sonia

After we some while Goran leaned back on his chair and answered

"If we have to put it into words then... Ascalon Academy representative's area bunch of monsters and Shun's victory against one of them seemed to be a close call, am I right?" Asks goran as he glanced at Cedric

"Indeed... Shun's battle with Mario was really close call"

With that Goran smiled as helplessly said

"Lorius is a monster... Had a monstrous magic, Mana, speed, reaction and most likely had a monstrous strength... Looks like Shun must really put everything he had to win this round"

Hearing that Cedric silently agreed to such remark as he leaned back on his chair, and leaving all speculations towards Rachel and the other's

"Well... The facts are already laid open and Ascalon Academy advantages are really frightening especially their combat prowess is the highest among everyone present" pondered Rachel

"Luckily we didn't have to face them" said Wendy

"Face them? We did t even manage to get picked for this competition and this competition is only once in our school life" said Aria

"Really? I didn't thought of that... Did you know this too Sephy?" Asks Wendy as she glanced at Sephiria

"Well... Yes... This competition is only for second year's, thus the event next year will be completely different than this year"

"Well most likely we can only trust them to win this" said Rachel

Soon a moment of silence then permeated the place until Rachel suddenly broke the atmosphere as she asked

"By the way, after this we only have few weeks of study before the Final examination of the year starts, after that we will finally had our long summer break... Have any of you guys study?"

Upon hearing that all the girls in the group suddenly reacted unanimously

"Crap!"

Half a day passed and nothing has yet to happen on either of the side, due to that the pressure just kept escalating to an unbelievable degree as each team begun to be wary of their surroundings

As Frederick tried to think of a way to deal with Rekka, Rosalyn on the other hand started forming of a plan to get some advantage in fighting against Cynthia

But the most pressurized among all four of them were both shun and Akito as they started brainstorming on how to deal with Lorius especially since he seemed to have almost no weaknesses at all

"So how do we deal with Lorius is he somehow teleported near you in an unexpected moment?" Asks Shun

"Indeed that is a problematic skill... Any idea?" Asks Akito

Hearing his question bouncing back at him, Shun couldn't help but contort his face in an angry manner as he retorted

"Can't you answer my question? Atleast help me out here"

At that moment someone suggested an idea

"Then how about try to restrain him using some kind of a restriction spell?"

Hearing that Shun naturally begin to form an idea upon that suggestion

"Great id... "

But before he could finish his words all four of them noticed a new voice and presence amidst their ranks and upon looking at the owner of the voice, they all became startled as they saw Lorius right near them

"Ahh!"

At this moment everyone was alerted of his presence

"Heyah!"

At this time a tiny explosive magic circle appeared before them as it glowed brightly

"Oh Crap!"

In that instant the whole cave suddenly exploded into pieces as Ascalon Academy representative's made their move
