Chapter 208: The Final Draw

As the mana kept rampaging towards the surroundings which greatly affected the area's environment, rain then soon begun too pour heavily as thunderstorms started appearing in the sky. This time the moment the rain begun to fall, the conditions in the battle begun to tilt towards Adelfried's side as he has now full advantage in his playing field.

The Aquasphere is a type of elemental power artifact which enables a user to at least command any form of water, liquid, and water related weapon under one's own command. Since that was the case, the thunderstorm and the very rain itself fell into such category which enables Adelfried to command such variables.

With the force of nature under his command, Adelfried slowly let go of his suppressed power as he sacrificed his very self just to destroy the enemy before him. After all just like quote "every power has a price itself", Adelfried sacrificed his life just to wield immense power capable to destroy the kingdom of Avalon itself.

His hatred bore deep into his bones, his past, his memories, his experience, everything was destroyed due to the actions of the predecessors of the current ruler of the kingdom. Due to that he re-established the cult that once ruled the country in order to exact his revenge. He recruited fighters, leaders, abandoned, exiles, and people who are through the country's system caste and is suffering through discrimination, everything that he did was to satisfy his goal for revenge.

Everything was going great, they manage to formally introduce themselves to the royalty which literally scared them, stole the power of the Aquasphere, and manage to come this far into possessing and wielding the power. However even though the kingdom's retaliation was expected, everything went downhill the moment unforeseen variable started to show up ion the country.

The swordsman who is quick on his feet, the golden blonde foreign prince who is quite adept in battle, and an annoying summoner of the champions unknown, this three unforeseen variable became the very fundamentals to why they fell this hard in this not so difficult defensive formation.

Through those unforeseen variables, Adelfried himself was left alone on his own to fend for himself as they rest of his companions either died or had surrendered. Even Asmodeus his trusted personnel was done in. At this moment forth, Adelfried cult of Diabolos was at a sinking ship. However as the person who desired revenge the most, he would not allow himself to just give up like that. By sacrificing everything he has, he intend to destroy the Kingdoms prided army and elites unit alongside its visitors.

As long as he was able to succeed on such task, The kingdom itself would naturally fall towards destruction due to the immense loss of the royalty's military power. Plus as if that wasn't enough, since a foreign citizen was involved among the dead, that foreign country would naturally take in a grudge as it might also spark war between the two country. No matter what route, it will naturally lead to the downfall of the kingdom of Avalon. With such grim future ahead of the country when he succeeds on the task, Adelfried then begun his last push as he charged forward.

His charge was quite fast to be exact, In fact Shun, Yuumi, and Ornn could even barely follow Adelfried's movement in his simple steps taken. It was like he was some kind of a ghost that they haven't seen before. The next thing they realized, Adelfried had already arrived behind and Shun and begun thrusting out his spear forward, with little to no time to react.

In that spur of the moment in order to save Shun, Yuumi quickly unbind herself to Shun as she got in between him and the spear and blocked the attack with her whole body. No matter what she couldn't afford to let Shun be killed in this kind of a place. The moment their summoner dies, they too would also cease to exist as they weren't originally from this planet from the very beginning.

In that next moment Yuumi was stabbed through the stomach with Adelfried's spear as blood spread out and stuck some of it towards Shun face. The next thing Shun knows, Yuumi desperately cried for his escape as she sacrificed her safety just for Shun's survivability.

"Shun! RUN!!!"

However Adelfried wont simply let Shun run away easily at all, the moment Yuumi uttered those desperate words before disintegrating into mana, he then skillfully wielded the Aquasphere's energy to take control of Yuumi's blood and enact an explosion upon contact. Following that cry, an explosion then rung out so powerful and large enough as Shun was blown away in full force and Ornn was brought down to the ground upon contacting with the explosion.

But that wasn't all, since Shun had a part of Yuumi's blood stuck on his face, his face was naturally blown off proportion as he feels his face burn in writhing agony  from his in jury and exposed muscles. To be exact half of Shun's face was blown off as he couldn't even use anything from his other side of his left face.

His left eye was destroyed, his ear and hearing on his left face was obliterated, and now his burned and exposed face muscles was could be seen as blood trickled down from his scarred half. In that moment Shun couldn't even focus on the fight as he felt immense pain that he had never experienced before in his life. Due to the amount of pain that he was feeling, he couldn't help but tear in pain and agony as he tried to endure loosing his mind after loosing half of his face.

Unfortunately Adelfried isn't sympathetic towards him at all despite receiving such injury. Without further ado, he then charge forward with an intent to finish off Shun while he is still in the state of suffering from his injury. But before he could even get near the said person himself, Ornn in the depths of his fury never seen before then hammer down in between them and prevented the enemy of his summoner to even get close his master.

Since Ornn was a summoned champion by Shun, they naturally have some kind of a bond and connection with each other which made them feel each other's emotion This time all he could felt from his summoner was an extreme feeling of pain and agony due to the injury he had received. Based on how his summoner reacts which he endures the pain and prevent himself from screaming out to retain his sanity, he then knew full well what he felt and intended as he directed his fury towards the enemy.

Without any words exchange between any longer, Ornn then begun his rampage as he swings both of his hammer down towards Adelfried with an intent to crush him down with the weight of his attacks. However Adelfried simply dodged his attacks that was sent his way and even begun bombarding Ornn with his own spells which was enhanced by the rain around them.

Nevertheless Ornn didn't give up at all as he let the blade like water scar his body as he continuous to show his rage with his every hammering down of his fury. Every time his hammer collide with the earth, the very ground itself shook in unison, when he breath fire, even the rain itself evaporated from its heat, when he swings, even trees were uprooted from the force of his attack.

Basically Ornn himself was like a disaster incarnate himself, however this too became useless as Adelfried easily endured the disaster incarnate with his every attack as blood started to pour out from Ornn's wounds. This time with Adelfried's power being enhanced, his strength too were naturally enhanced together with him.
