Chapter 211: The Final Draw IV

A blinding white explosion had blanketed the whole surroundings as each and everyone who were caught in it were either blasted away without being able to defend against it or either taken out by the explosion. The explosion came in so sudden that no one had even expected it to the point that even sound itself seemed to lag behind greatly from the explosion.

The only thing that everyone noticed was that a blinding light suddenly expanded out from Adelfried, as every manner of mana usability was vaporized in the surroundings, before they themselves were blown up from underneath. Right after the explosion that expanded from the mountain all the way to the valley and the trees, the sound of explosion then rung out about 30 seconds after the event as it swept every debris near the destruction and further escalate the damage of the explosion.

The explosion was so strong that not only did it come without noise, but it even shook the earth and disturbed the ongoing calm within the kingdom's walls. Not only that but even the presence of the explosion derived from the power of the Aquasphere was felt throughout the world as it caused chain reaction effects towards all manner of body of water all over the world.

Froom that day on, black clouds blanketed the sky all over the world, as the sea grew turmoil and the all the bodies of water all over the world grew restless from the activation of power which could potentially destroy the world and rewrite the natural law.

As for the main cause for the chain of events happening in the world, the light from the huge explosion then slowly dimmed out into nothingness, as a huge crater was then replaced it which encompasses a huge area of land. Even the mountain which served as the hideout of the cult was decimated into nothingness due to the explosion, much more can be said to the trees surrounding it and the vast land that follows.

Everything as far as the eye can see was decimated without trace.

Even the army that was sent to subjugate the cult was not exempted. Due to the explosion, a huge number of casualty quickly climbed up, as only a fraction of the army had survived the unexpected attack. Even some people in the elite force was taken out by this explosion. The numbers were still unknown but anyone could guess that some may have died from this attack.

In this moment, Adelfried the foremost trigger of the explosion, then knelt down on one knee as he spat out a mouthful of blood from having his body breaking down from using the Aquasphere excessively. 

That explosion itself was his final trump card to take down one of the backbone of the kingdom. In exchange for his everything, he enacted that huge explosion by making the mana of the Aquasphere to rampage inside his body and cause a type of world ending detonation to occur.

Just like what its stated that was his last trick up his sleeve. With everything he had being given up for that final attack, his body would naturally not hold any longer as he started breaking down from inside out.

Unfortunately reality is often disappointing at times when one expect the opposite. Just as the dust of clouds had been blown away, he saw Captain Kalego still breathing and alive as he held a a body on his arms which seemed to fell in front of him.

Unknown to everyone the barrier master, one of the members of the elite force suddenly noticed the strange phenomena just right before the explosion happened , as he quickly moved to act and erected a wide barrier protecting any people he could save with his power. However his own power wasn't enough to stop the breaking down of the barrier he created to protect some people he recognized.

So in order to contend against the attack which was done through the sacrifice of everything, the barrier master then also inputted his everything and his very being into his barrier to held their ground and protect the people who were hiding behind it. In exchange for an attack which one's life was involved, he too exchanged his life to protect the people he recognized.

Due to that, captain Kalego and together with some people who got protected by the barrier's that the barrier master had conjured, were then saved from harm and had avoided a death like situation.

As for the others who weren't protected by the barrier master, they either used their own means to save themselves from the explosion or had contended against the attack with their own will and life force. On primary example of this is Shun who had survived by barely equipping Guardian's angel which saved him from death's door. Even thought he was nearly depleted out of mana, he still have enough strength to actually buy some item which could potentially save his life.

On the other hand when Adelfried saw captain Kalego is alive while putting down the dead body of the barrier master, various emotion was then projected on his face ranging from shock, confusion, doubt, rage, understanding, and giving up. With the last hope of actually killing captain Kalego gone, due to the barrier master's intervention, Adelfried then gave out one final scorning laugh before he let go of the spear and the power of the Aquasphere slowly leaving his body

"All of this was for naught..."

With those final words, Adelfried then closed his eyes as he fell down to the ground and breath his last. Such is the final moment of a person who sacrificed everything to destroy the kingdom and government that once taken his cult down.

With his death, the battle then came into a close as the whole battlefield itself was void of silence without anyone uttering out a single sound.

The sky was silent, the wind was silent, the barren land of what's left was silent, even the soldiers and people in pain were silent as the aftermath of the explosion. It was as if the explosion itself had robbed the world of any noise or sound.

Amidst all of that one particular sound coming from some familiar system had rung out in the ears of Shun as it begun its process of retrieving the stolen Aquasphere power.
