Chapter 280: The Final Practical Exam (Cruise) III

Shun spent most of his time touring the whole cruise ship itself. Later that day the whole original members of the Otaku club had been reunited, as they all moved as a group while going through multiple places of the ship.

They came across the pool area which only allow people in swinwear to enter, the dining area which is an eat all you can buffet, rest area which is filled with relaxing equipments, spa area which also has an installed hots spring pool, opera area, where a huge audience seats are situated, and even a casino where Shun almost spent the money he had been saving when he is adventuring. Thankfully Cedric and Sephiria were there to stop him from becoming an addict, if not, Shun would have abused his knowledge of probability.

During their trip of course, they met Akito and Irish from Orbium Academy and Lorius group from Ascalon Academy. They may have exchanged a few words with one another, but it didn't take long before they separated since they all want to experience the life on a ship.

Just like that the day in the cruise went by in a flash, as night fell and the moon completely showing up beyond the starry skies. During this time, right after all the 3rd year students from the six academies took their dinner and short rest, they were all called upon into the conference area to gather in order to discuss the exam itself. Upon hearing that, all students suddenly remembered that they were currently on their way to an exam and not meant to spent time on this ship like I'm some kind of vacation.

Due to that announcement, the conference hall was filled with students from the six academies as students rushed in to their seats. Since the conference hall is sized about 6,000 square feet, it was only natural that all the 3rd year students from the six academies would be able to fit inside and sit comfortably without any congestion.

Naturally since there was no appointed order in the hall, the students were allowed to sit on any seat they want and mix among their intended click. As for Shun, the whole original members of the Otaku club had grouped up once more, as they planned to listen in together about this exam. Not long after a professor from the Ballad Academy walk to the stage as he was both surprised and astounded by the sheer size of his audience.

"Wow! Just look at this audience size, it's like seeing an audience from a performance"

Hearing his comment about his attendees, the students in the room naturally laughed accordingly, as they showed that they were amused by the professors humor.

"Anyway! Before we head straight in towards the description of the exam, I would like to ask who among you already know what the exam is?"

In response to the professors question, all the students raised their hand, as the professor handpicked a few in order to hear their answer.

"You! What's your intake about the exam?"

"I heard that the exam was to be held in an island guarded by the six academies, since its an island, is it perhaps a survival exam?"

"Yes and no.... what about you young miss at the top?"

"Since everyone guess that it would be a survival exam, will the professors help us if we needed something?"

"First of all, it's not entirely a survival exam... second as much as possible, the professors will not help the students during in their time of need on the island... after all we are testing on what you can do alone... literally it will teach you to stand up for yourself"

"What about rations? Do we get a supply?"

"No! After you guys emptied out the rations we give you, you will then have to hunt on your own and provide yourself with necessities... as I said our involvement in this exam would totally be almost non-existent"

"So you will not help us? What will happen if something happened to us? For example dying on the island"

"That is the best part, before you guys exit the ship, we will each provide you a checkpoint bracelet which will automatically send you back into the ship once it deemed yourself in danger of dying... now what is this thing considered as dangerous situation for the bracelet? Simple, it's starvation, unable to cure yourself from poisoning, almost getting killed by an opposing students, falling to death, drawing to death, and etc. The list goes on"

"Is it true that this exam will be graded through your performance?"

"Yes! It is true, remember each and every one of you will be the next generation to lead this country in prosperity, so I hope everyone will do their best in the said exam"

"..."

"Any more questions?"

"Well...."

"Yes?"

"What is exactly the objectives of th exam"

"Haha! I thought that you would never ask... anyway the goal of this exam is simple, is that the students should find the the hidden treasure that was kept and hide somewhere by the principals of the six academies"

"!!!"

"The exam could end once the treasure is found... of course we would not just hand the treasure over to you, we will put traps and monsters in the obstacles... meaning not only would you look out yourself from the other players, you would also have to look out for monsters"

"If you want to pass the exam, I got a great tip for you in kind of situation... all I can say is that you can only trust yourself, don't be easily trustable towards other people, remember they are also aiming to get a higher grade, so if if they must, they could always betray you... stay sharp"

After that, the conference goes on, until the night of that day. At exactly 11:00pm all of the students headed straight to their bed as they got exhausted from listening for a 2 hours straight conference
