Chapter 307: Fire and Ice III

Annoyed by the fact that Rosalyn managed to save herself from being eliminated, Ellen then begun to fight harder to the point that each of her attacks are imbued with his ice element that completely changed the terrain of their surroundings.

In order to survive, Rosalyn had to negate Ellen's elemental mana with her own flames, causing numerous clashes were flames and ice fought against each other. With such scale of a battle, they naturally have to keep moving while trying to one up the other.

Not long after due to the recklessness of their battle, they somehow arrived at the very altar that both Orbium Academy and Ballad Academy are fighting for the right to raid it. The altar itself is called 'The graveyard of swords'.

Just like it's name the ground around the altar is literally filled with swords sticking up like a tombstone. Each of these swords have a unique design and seemed to have been used in a battle or war. What's more each and everyone of these swords exudes pressure of a battleborne warrior. From there one can even conclude that the previous wielder of these swords must have been mighty warriors.

Aside from the swords that are sticking out like a tombstone, this place also have a boss monster that needed to be raided and the boss itself is none other than the black long haired cloaked person who is currently sitting on a rock in the center of the altar.

Even though the boss hasn't done anything yet, it's presence alone made both Rosalyn and Ellen to stop fighting, as they both felt an indescribable danger the moment they stepped foot on the altar. In fact they even felt that if they make one move in this place, both of them would then be killed in a flash.

All of these ran through their mind without the boss even doing anything.

In that moment the boss then begun to act, as it suddenly released a huge aura towards the surroundings, which completely suppressed both Rosalyn and Ellen to the point that their body started to subconsciously shiver in fright.

They felt suffocated, it's like both of them were being drown deep down in the abyss of the sea. The abyss that is completely unknown, just from this pressure alone, the boss power seemed to be bottomless.

However in that moment someone came and immediately pulled both Rosalyn and Ellen away from the altars range and surprisingly the people who appeared to save both of them is Shun and Akito who coincidentally coincides in this place the moment the boss aura was felt.

For Shun the system on the book popped up to warn him of the danger in the altar, as for Akito his senses as a swordsman warned him of an enemy in this direction. Because of their sense for wanting a challenge both of them arrived in this place and saved both Rosalyn and Ellen from being dismembered by the boss.

As Shun carried Rosalyn like a sack, Akito on the otherhand carried Ellen like a princess in order to pull both of them out. Surprisingly both Shun and Akito are surprised to see each other in this place of the island.

Quickly settling down both Rosalyn and Ellen first, both of them then soon came face to face as they somewhat surprised to see one another.

"I didn't expect to see you here" said by Shun

"Me neither... plus you have no idea how much I want to see you and settle the score with you here, unfortunately it looks like that won't be possible considering that this boss is here" replied by Akito

"Yeah! In fact I was wondering why your Academy and Ballad Academy are at each other's throat for this altar... well now I know, the boss is simply a monster in human form"

"Wait! My Academy is fighting for the right to attack this boss?"

"Yeah? They are over there quite far away from us"

"Then shouldn't I be stopping you? Based on how you look at the boss, it seems like you want to attack it"

"Of course I do, but if you did stop me, are you confident that you can kill the boss?"

Hearing Shun's words, Akito then turned towards the boss, before giving a deep sigh.

"Well this boss seemed to be stronger than the boss I just fought... and I barely made it out alive then... I don't think my Academy can handle this alone"

"Wait! You fought a boss? Why haven't I encountered one till now? That's so unfair"

In that moment another person appeared as Lorius landed in between Shun and Akito and was similarly surprised to see them there.

"You... I see you guys are also after the boss too" said by Lorius

"Why are you here?" Asked by Shun in surprise

"Back off Lorius, we won't let you get this boss" warned by Akito

"Unfortunately I can't do that, this boss is too precious to be ignored" replied by Lorius

Hearing that Akito then became confused.

"What?"

"You know the treasure! I've already searched underground and the treasure isn't there... so I conclude that perhaps the treasure is in the possession of a powerful monster and guess what that boss is? A powerful monster" explained by Lorius

"So you think that the treasure is being held by this boss?" Asked by Shun

"Pretty much yeah!"

"I see... that makes sense" mumbled by Shun

In that moment Lorius remember something and praised Shun.

"By the way! Shun! You've really picked a fine woman to be your fiance"

"Fiance? You've met Sephiria"

"More like I fought her"

".... what!?!?!"

"Don't worry she's fine, she put up a good fight, in fact she even manage to stand up against me for a very long time"

"I see... but remember this Lorius, if something irreversible happened to her and your the cause of it, ill make sure to kill you and bury you 6 feet under"

".... Okay! Sheesh what an overprotective boyfriend... hey Akito don't be like this guy... sheesh"
