Chapter 312: The Sword Monarch

Thankfully amidst that explosion, Lorius somehow was able to save both Shun and Akito by encasing them with barrier and quickly pulling them away with forced teleportation. With that they somehow came out from the radius of the explosion totally unscathed, as it's flames razed the boss monster itself.

"Did you get him?" Asked by Shun

"I don't think so" replied by Lorius

"Ah crap!"

In that moment a shadow suddenly dashed towards them in a speed that the average fighters would have a hard time to follow, as the boss monster came out from the explosion with little to no damage at all.

"Heads up!!!"

The first one who sensed the boss approaching them at high speed was Akito who had never took off his eyes on the enemy. So as the first one who noticed it, he was then also the first one to block the initial attack of the boss, which alerted both Shun and Lorius that the boss was near them. Of course due to the difference in strength, Akito was blown back from the force of the attack after trying to block the boss monster swing.

From there Shun immediately positioned himself as he sent out multiple thrust attack, which was all parried by the boss monster. After that Lorius quickly switches places with Shun using switch magic as he dodges the boss monster attacks by an inch, before planting magic bombs on its body.

In a single snap of his finger, the bombs detonated which slightly stunned the boss monster.

Taking this chance Shun made his attack once more as he sent out a powerful attack which pushed the boss monster across the field, which created a long trench after the boss squarely blocked the attack and anchored himself on the ground.

"Water thrust"

After the boss monster was pushed away, Akito then made his move as he went in for the kill.

"Tomura's Fourth offensive sword form 23-Pon no hakai no ken (23 swords of destruction)"

In response to this, the boss monster then quickly enacted his own sword skill which counteracts Akito's skill.

"Fourth Sword Absolute Interception!!!"

Once this two skills clashed against each other, both skills then soon neutralized each other's blow as the boss skills literally blocked all the inanimate swords that Akito had manifested.

From there the boss then quickly flowed up with a slash, as Akito barely dodged when he immediately jumped away after realizing that his attack had been neutralized.

But the moment he backed away, the boss then quickly entered into a stance as it plans to deal with Akito in his next attack.

"Second Sword Evernight Bloom!!!"

Seeing such skills headed his way, Akito couldn't help but be stunned by the sight of an amazing sword technique, only for Shun to quickly pull him away by the collar and used his shield to block the attack.

From there the attack itself was so strong that it ripped the ground into smithereens, and causing Shun's highly durable Aqua barrier to be destroyed from just encountering that boss attack. Due to its destruction, both Shun and Akito were blown away from the force of the swing, only to get safely away when Lorius covered for them by raining down fire on the boss itself.

"I'll call it! This boss is so imbalance, as if getting in a lucky strike wasn't hard enough, we barely did anything against this guy" said by Shun after seeing his bleeding arms after his shield got destroyed.

"We're gonna need a new method of attack" said by Akito

"To be honest this is the first monster that really gave me trouble in a my lifetime... even the country's strongest swordsman is nothing agaisnt this monster" said by Lorius after launching multiple binding chains towards the boss monster.

"New method of attack right? Well I do got one, sadly I was planning on saving it when I fight both of you guys, I never expected that I would be forced to use it against this boss"

"Wait you have another trump card aside from that Aquasphere ability?" Asked by Lorius

"Well naturally" replied by Shun.

Hearing that both Lorius and Akito sighed for a bit as they too were hiding their own trump card for when they encountered each other as enemies, just luke Shun, they never expected to use their trump card here.

"To be honest I also have a hidden trump card myself" said by Lorius

"Me too" said by Akito

"Well if we want to win against this monster, we would need to show our cards" said by Shun

Hearing his words both of them somewhat agreed as they somewhat plans to use their respective trump card against the boss monster, after all its either using it now to survive or not using it but they will get eliminated.

"My trump card takes time! Cover for me"

Hearing Shun's words, both Lorius and Akito were confused and curious on what type of skill he will use that will take time, but also recognized the situation they were in. So pushing aside their curiosity, both Lorius and Akito charged towards the boss monster, who was also preparing for an attack.

While both Lorius and Akito were occupying the boss, Shun then opened up his system as he was given a pop up notification which question his choices.

Seeing the question, Shun simply smiled as he answered yes towards such question.

At the same time both Lorius and Shun begun their attack as they charged towards the boss monster.

"First Sword Scattered Blades!!!"

In response to this the boss monster used a skill to disrupt their flow, only for Lorius to grabbed ahold of Akito on his back and used his own martial skill to dodge all of the attacks that the boss did.

"Accel!!! Accel!!! Accel!!! Accel!!!"

Using high speed movment to dodge the attacks, Lorius then let's go of Akito, as the latter sent out an attack towards the boss monster from afar.

"Tomura's Third offensive sword form Ken no Nami (Sword Wave)"

Upon seeing that attack, the boss monster then quickly moved away to dodge the attack, only for Lorius to suddenly appear behind himand attacked him from behind.

"(Martial Skill) Destruction Fist!!!"

Grounding him in a single punch, Akito quicklys moves in as he prepared for another attack.

"Tomura's Sixth offensive sword form Shu no honō (vermillion blaze)"

In just one slash flames engulfed the whole area, as everything became the sea of flames.
