Chapter 316: 3rd Night

After killing the boss monster, Wukong then somehow felt satisfied, as he soon forcefully canceled the synchronization state and returned the body back to its original host despite still having some time left at its own disposal. After all Wukong was just after the boss itself, anything that was beyond it was totally unrelated to him.

Not long after he turned back into Shun, the boss monster corpse then slowly dissipated and drop a huge mana core at the size of a small bag. Upon seeing this Shun wondered what its use for a bit, until both Lorius and Akito gets closer to take a look on what the boss had drop.

"What the? It didn't drop the free ticket to finish this exam in full marks?" Asked by Lorius

"Apparently not" said by Shun

"What is that thing?" Asked by Akito

"It's mana core, it is often dropped by monster and used by people in various occasions... some use it to turn into a jewelry, while other use it as a new source of power for objects, but the most efficient way to use it is by absorbing the mana core in order for one to grow stronger" answered by Lorius

"So it's like a free farming material" said by Shun

"I don't know what that is, but yeah I think" said by Lorius

"So does anyone wants this? Do you want this?" Asked by Shun towards Lorius

"I appreciate the thought but that thing is practically useless to me... I'm a mage, combat mage to be exact... that core came from a sword wielding type of monster so that mana core can greatly improve any sword wielding person" said by Lorius

"I see then this rightfully goes to Akito then" said by Shun

"Thats useless to me too... I don't use mana to wield my sword, all of it are reliant to aura and pure swordmanship" answered by Akito

"Ehhhh"

Not long after both Ellen and Rosalyn came closer after realizing that the battle was over, which then gave Lorius an idea on what to do with the mana core.

"It may be useless to us, buts it would greatly help them though"

Hearing his words, both Akito and Shun turned towards to both Ellen and Rosalyn and immediately understood what Lorius meant.

"Your right! But there are two of them, and we only have a single mana core" said by Shun

"Don't worry about that"

After Lorius said this, he then took the mana core from Shun's hand and split it into two using his own mana, due to that both Ellen and Rosalyn received the two mana core for their own gain.

Naturally this shocked the two women as they don't know the reason why Lorius would hand to them the monster drop even though they weren't the one who took it down. In the end he then explained everything which made both of them understand the reason why they did it.

With the distribution of the loot done, Lorius, Shun, And Akito stood against each other face to face, as they now don't know what to do in this situation. After all they just joined forces in order to take down a troublesome boss. Now that the boss is gone, they were now left facing each other.

Thankfully they were not in the right condition in facing against each other. All three of them are exhausted to an incredible degree. With that all three of them decided to disperse and leave with they're own group. Not long after Goran came running towards them which signals Shun and his group to leave the site.

After that Lorius left with Ellen which left Akito to leave on his own. But before they dispersed, all three of them swore to each other that the next time they meet, they would then be enemies, thus ends the eventful 3rd day.

As night crept in for everyone on the island, all the remaining students then went to find a shelter in order for them to sleep peacefully during the night. At this very moment all the remaining students in the island had already formed into groups in order to safeguard themselves against other students from the other academy.

This time Goran found a perfect area to camp out the night, and that was the land beside a waterfall not far from them. However even though this place was the safest area that Goran could find, he wasn't the only one who thought of it as Lorius, Ellen, and Akito had somewhat rendezvous to this place.

All three groups thought that this area was a perfect place to camp out. Due to that all three of them unknowingly chose the exact same spot to camp out, which made the situation awkward as three of them swore to be enemies the next time they meet.

But before anyone could even do anything, Shun immediately raised out his voice.

"Truce?"

Hearing that both Lorius and Akito realized what it meant as they too raised their stance.

"Truce"

With that all three groups camped out near the waterfall with each side took their chosen area to take a rest.

Lorius side had chosen the area beside the waterfall as their safe area, Akito on the otherhand had chosen a tree among the bush as his resting place, as for Shun they chose the riverside that was connected to the waterfall as their resting place.

In that very moment the once safe place in the area to camp out, had now become one of the most dangerous area to camp out. Naturally all three of them had their own respective ways to spend the night, while both Rosalyn and Ellen focuses on absorbing their respective mana core, their respective people in their group then begun cooking stuff for their own dinner.

As for Akito he somehow had some supplies to last the night thanks to some drops hidden by Iris during the initial days.

Not long after an announcement popped up as it showcased the remaining students in the island.
