Chapter 1

~Kayleigh's PoV~

I was sitting in my room, staring out the window, watching Medina chase Miki, the husky pup, around the backyard. I sighed and pulled out my phone. 5:30 pm is what the clock on my phone read. Ugh great, six hours and thirty minutes til midnight! How will I ever survive! I thought to myself. I moved away from my bedroom window and closed my black curtains. I walked over to my bed and collapsed. I tried to relax but Miki's barking kept me from doing so.

I got out of bed and opened my bedroom window and shouted, "Miki shush!" Medina looked at me and walked over.

"What's wrong Chara?" Medina said, calling me by my favored nickname.

"Nothing, just stressed out." I answered. I was about to close the window when Medina handed me Miki.

"Pet her, it'll help you with the stress." Medina said. I nodded and started petting Miki, making her stop barking, and her tail wag.

I laughed and said, "I think she likes it."

"Yeah, she does." Medina said, walking away. I closed the window and sat on my bed, still petting Miki. I smiled and curled up in my bed with Miki, still petting her. That's when sleep over took my body and mind.
