Chapter 6

I'm giggling when Toriel, who I call mom, comes walking up. I immediately stop giggling when I see her face. "Where were you two?" she says angrily. Luckily we weren't near the janitor's closet when she walked over.

Asriel and I look at each other before I answer, "We woke up late and didn't make it to school on time, in fact we just got here not too long ago." I'm lying of course, it just comes naturally to me plus Asriel can't even lie to mom because she can see through his lies, but she can never see through mine. I smile innocently.

Toriel sighs and says, "You could've at least messaged me using your phones you know."

I shrug and look at Asriel, "See you at lunch Azzie!" I say before heading off to my art class. I enter Mrs. Snow's class and I get a wonderful welcome but then I spot Ms. Perne, the history teacher for humans and vampires. I'm the only one in her vampire history class so I assume she wants to talk to me.

I head on over to Ms. Perne and she speaks softly, "Chara, I need to speak to you alone. Meet me on the roof of the school as soon as possible." I nod and wait for her to leave before I follow. Luckily I know a secret way up to the roof and I manage to reach the roof before Ms. Perne. I only have to wait five minutes before she shows up. "How did you get up here before me?" she asks.

I smile and say, "I flew. I'm kidding, I took the secret staircase that leads directly up here, you can only access it on the roof and the first floor, but I assume you can also access it from the basement."

"How long have you been a vampire Chara?" Ms. Perne asks. I walk over to the edge of the roof and look down.

"One billion two hundred forty five thousand two hundred twenty two years, why do you ask?" I answer.

I hear Ms. Perne gasp before she says, "Then you already know everything about the history of the vampires and the history of the humans, so why take those two classes?"

I turn around and look at her before saying, "To get to know you, Sita. You're the last vampire alive. You interest me."

Ms. Perne, aka Sita, inhales before saying, "But you too are a vampire. Which means I'm no longer the last one."

I have to smile at that. "Ah but that's where you're wrong. I'm not a full on vampire. Well I'm a full on vampire but with additions. You see I am what some call a Hybrid Shifter. I can shift into a wolf whenever I want or whenever I'm mad. I can shift into a dragon whenever I want or whenever I'm stressed." I say. "Now don't go tell Mr. Seymour Dorsten that just so he can write a story about it later. I do not want any publicity on me or any of the other Shifters who live among the humans and monsters." I snap but quickly calm down by looking over the edge of the school roof again.

"I won't tell Seymour about you and what you are, I promise. I have another question, have you ever died before?" Ms. Perne asks.

I take a deep breath before answering, "Yes, I have died before and I already know where I'm going when I die for the last time."

Ms. Perne asks, "Where are you going? I'm merely curious now but you don't have to tell me if you don't want to."

I shake my head and say, "You're right, I don't want to tell you but I'm sure you'll figure out where I'm going to go."

"You're damned aren't you?" Ms. Perne asks. I nod and look at her, tears in my eyes. She walks over to me and hugs me, wiping away my tears. "Oh you poor dear, I shouldn't have reminded you. I'm very sorry." She says.

"It's quite alright. I don't deserve to live in paradise when I've hurt so many people, besides, I didn't get to meet Krishna, I only got to meet Christ himself and no one else. In fact it was Christ who told me about Hell and how that I'm damned. I then died more recently when I almost made my adoptive brother kill humans, killing himself and my soul. Alphys and Frisk however brought us back to life before I made it to Hell." I say, still crying.

Ms. Perne hugs me until I stop crying. "If you ever want advice on how to avoid going to Hell let me know, I can give you the advice you'll need." she says. I nod and back away. "You should get back to class now, I'll see you later, okay?" she said.

"Alright. See you later Ms. Perne!" I said before running back down the secret staircase at the speed of light.
