after her brother's passing, rose thought that she could get away from the gang violence in her community. but when she goes out with her brother one day, she's tracked by her brother's rival gang leader and he wants payment. but instead of money he wants her brother, but of course she intervened and said to take her instead. after making this choice her life completely changes.

Hostage Turned Criminal

"Rose! No! Please!" I hear Luis cry as I walk to Miguel, and when I reach him, I grab his face and kiss him, a tear falls down my face as he kisses me back. 


Then, I look at him, smile and start walking back to the car. I don't get far before i hear Miguel speak again, "I didn't force her to do anything! I just told her what you did… I'm sorry it's come to this, but she chose us!" 


I then hear Luis say, "You took everything from me a few months ago! You took my best friend!" And then I stop, I open the door and grab the pistol and load it and walk out towards Luis. 


"Rose No!" I hear Miguel yell, but I don't care. I stop just 5 feet away from Luis and shoot the ground, Luis jerks his head back, I look at him straight in the eyes, "what the hell did you just say?" I ask him, 


but when he stays silent, I shoot at the ground again and he finally speaks, "careful Rose I don't want to hurt you." And then I lose it. 


"You don't want to hurt me?! Are you fucking  kidding me right now?!" tears stream down my face, "You just said that i wouldn't leave you like that. And no i wouldn't have if you hadn't left me first!" I yell.
