Plans

I sigh, knowing how bad this will go if I don't do something to stop him. "Look rose, now that you know the full story, you know how dangerous i am. You know how far i'm willing to go to get what i want." he says. "What do i have to do?" i ask him. "Come back to me. Plain and simple. You and santiago come back, and i'll make sure to never disturb them again." he responds. I think for a moment, "fine. But under one condition." i say. He stays quiet for a moment, "what is it?" he asks. "We have to leave all of this behind. We leave this place behind, and find a new life. Somewhere where neither miguel or edgar know about." i say. Luis stays quiet for a while before finally speaking, "fine. I know where we can leave too. But you have to promise me you won't back down." "i promise." i say. He sighs in relief, "okay. I'm going to prepare so it'll take a few days ok? I promise you i'm going to get us out of here and i'm going to keep you two safe." he says, sounding happy. I nod, "okay." i say, and then hang up.

I think about how much my life has changed as i shower. My brother was dead last week, or so i thought. I was led to believe he was, and when i found out the truth, i think it broke me more than finding out he was dead. I went through so many things, and i don't think i've processed all of the emotions that i had to feel with finding all of these things out. I just joined miguel's gang, but i'm already leaving it. But to be fair, I never really wanted to, I only did it because Miguel told me too. And now i'm kinda glad i did it, but i also regret it too. I never asked to be a part of the gang world. But i'm in it and i don't know if i'll be able to get away from it. But i'll do whatever it takes to get away, because i don't want santiago to be a part of it. I finish showering, change, and go out and see santi watching tv, he looks back at me when i open the door. "Rosey!" he yells, running over to hug me tackling me to the ground. We laugh as he lays on me, "hey bud how've you been?" i ask as i get him off of me.

Santi and i talk for a while before i hear knocking then i see maria open the door slightly, "hey guys, sorry to disturb i just need to grab some clothes." i tilt my head confused, "um sure. But why do you need to take it with you?" i ask. She laughs, "oh yeah i forgot to tell you. I realized there probably won't be enough room for the three of us in here, so i asked angel if i could sleep in his room and he agreed. So i just came for my stuff." she says. "Ohh, okay then. Well thanks and sorry, i completely forgot to tell you about santi coming." i say. "It's okay don't worry about it" she says and then grabs some clothes and heads off. "Rosey whos she? And where are we?" santi asks after maria leaves. I forgot to explain things to santi when he got here, but i can't exactly tell him the truth either, plus, if everything goes to plan, we won't even be here for much longer. "How about i explain everything on the way?" i say as i put my shoes on. "Where are we going?" he asks, getting off the bed. "We're gonna go get ice cream." i say, as i hold his hand in mine and we leave the room. "Yay!" he says jumping up and down as walk.

We get downstairs and i tell him to stay by the stairs while i go do something, I find miguel after looking for him for a while, only i find him talking with a few of the members and they have girls around them and one is sitting on Miguel's lap and has an arm warped around his neck. I frown but then go up to him, "hey, i need a car." I yell over the loud music they are playing. I can tell miguel's drunk because it takes him a moment to realize who I am, and once he finally does, he frowns and doesn't even bother moving the girl before he yells back, "why do you need a car?" i roll my eyes, "don't worry about it and just give me the keys." he looks at me with an annoyed look. He moves the girl aside, grabs my arm, and pulls me to the side, "what the hell's your problem?" he says. I chuckle, "can i just have the keys?" I ask. He rolls his eyes, "where are you going rose.?" he asks in a demanding tone. "I'm taking santi out." I say. He sighs, "seriously rose? You couldn't have just told me that when i asked you that the first time?" i roll my eyes, "you could've just trusted me. Anyway give me the keys." he sighs again, "there's a spare set of keys and a credit card on my desk in my study room. They're both for you." i nod and walk away before he can say anything else.
