Hykife Hummins: Finding The Earths Lavender

Hykife had to check on his sister. His mom call him yesterday to inquire about her well being. As she has been doing for last few months . Anytime she could also of Marls she would call him. " Kife, I think your sister is ignoring. " She complained. He would jus assure that it wasn't the case. However Hykife think it maybe just that. He know his mom cam be a bit over protective, especially wit Marlie. She jus came into her full spiritual magic last years. His mom was constantly on both the twins to make sure they kept up their energy, or they would be off in everything.

He has been video calling and messages her. The even meditate together through video chat. He make sure she's not doin to much partying, but still allowing her da freedom of a freshman student.

He know she has been meet for study group with a few friends every Tuesdays,at the bar a few miles from Spelman. He took her there for breakfast her first day of college. She had really like the atmosphere. All the college students that gathered, rather from Spelman or any college in its general area. It was the perfect place for college students . He made his way there. He cald his sister maybe 20 minutes ago. She had jus been getting out class. " Yo big bruthher" Marlie greeted him through the phone. "Mom got you checking on me again" she teases him. He laughed with her. " You gone meet me at that bar right. We can do dinner. He looked at his watch. It was jus 6:30. It be almost 7 when he reach the bar. "Sure Keifey. " She smiles to her using his nickname for him. "This give me time to change outa my the licteray threader clothes. " He mutter an ok and hung up the phone . Shacking his head at all the clubs his sister had already joined.

Pulling up to , Grownish Bar ...the crowd was thicker than usual. He wondered what the occasion was.

Hykife didnt have to stand the line because he has already seen Marlie. She sat at the table in a long tshirt nd leggings. Her mass of sandy black hair all over her head in disform. She siped on what seem to be water nd lemon.

Approaching her at the table he ask

" What going here tonight sis." He half hugged her looking around. "Its karaoke Wednesdays." Marlie explains. He saw students he never seen there before. He saw new waitress too. It was a group of girls on stage singing a old Destiny's Child song. He'd never made it on an event night,so he forgot they actually did theams. " The winner get a cash prize of 200 hundred dollars " Marlies made the statement jus as anothe group made ther way to the stage.

"Have you order anything yet." Hylife asked as he sat at the table.

"No I had got here maybe 10 minutes befor you. "

" Lwt oder than. I'm hungry ."

They both worked the Veggies burger special. Hykife didn't usually drick but tonight he felt like a beer.

"How your exams going Kifey. " Marlie ask sipping from her water. She couldn't help but laugh at his face.

"Almost over." he said chugging the beer. " What was I thinking continuing undergrade..." he pulsed to gulp more of the beer. " Do I even really want to own my own my business?" She looked at her brother confused now.

" I thought u wanted to own a chane of your own stores." Marlie asked. Jus as he was about response their waitress cam with their food.

"Here we go,teo veggie burger specials. " She sat down extra napkins. "Would y'all like another beer or more water."

" Yes, thanks you." The both said at once.

The waitress who name was Cori nodded mutter " I'll be right back."

Marlie was already into her burger. Her mouth was full when Hykife asked " Did u meditate today." He shoved a finger full of air fries into his mouth. Marlie jus nodded become her mouth wa full. " What about your practice. " He did say what practice he meant,they where in public after all,but he knew she wud kno wat he was talking about. Marlie drink from her water,finishing the cup.

" Yes big brother I did .Is this why u choose to have dinner tonight." She folded her arms. "So u can check my energy levels ." He could see the annoyance on her face. He was just about to denie her. lam when there waitess appeared with their refill drinks.

" So it took a little longer , karaoke Wednesdaysare always busy. "

" It all good ,Cori. We aren't in a hurry." Marlie smiled at the waitress. " Right Keif..." Than she notice his blank look,like he was in trance. Marlie always thinking fast quickly distracted the waitress. "Actually we could use more napkins. " She shock her head. " I'm a messy eater when it comes to burgers. " The waitress smiled nd when for the napkins.

" Hykife. " Marlie spoke low so only their eyes could hear.

As If he nothing happened he looks at her ,shocked in his eyes.

"What happened. " Marli looked worried.

" She's was covered in earthy lavender." He close his eyes.All his sence and energy focused on that smell.

" What do you mean 'covered '." Marlie asked more confused.

"She jus hugged or bumped into my energy mate." He spoke low to Marlie while his eyes searched around.

" U mean she works here."

"Yes."

Cori was heading their with the extra napkins she asked for.

"Thanks Cori." Hykife smile at her. Cori looked star gazed.

"You're most welcome ." she smile back.

"Who did u jus hug?" The question left his lips befor his mind could stop himself from talking. It was if he had no control of his own body.

Marlie who was jus as shocked,jumped in than.

" Yea we saw u hug another waitress before coming back to our table. " She lied so smoothly it shock him .

Cori looked back and froth between them. Silently wondering how he knew she'd jus hug Jusi goodbye. The girl did say they saw them,but could they real see from here. She glanced to where she hugged Jusi jus a few minutes ago.Maybe they dis see the hug . Cori smiled brushing it off. "Her name his Jusi." Cori smiled lay the ticket on the table. "Enjoy the rest of your night." She smiled talking away. She have to remember to tell Jusi this in the morning.

"Hykife, what's u thinking. " Marlie whisper but shouted at him. Juan like our mother he thought to himself. " How did u know she'd jus hug someone?" She gazes him .

"I jus saw it ." He was smiling to home self. " She let me see it,and she dont even know." He laughed a little to him self.His energy match hers. Her scent made his soul wake up. "She my energy soul mate." He said in a complete daze. He was no long in da crowed bar,but in a meadow. Full of lavender flowers. Vines were twi8nd trunes over and into each other. The earth around him was the richest of greens. Everything seem to glow. The butterflies where fluttering through every thing. The stream flowed calmly. It was all to perfect. Is this what love will be like with her. Jusi. He said to him self.

He came back to the crowded bar just than. Marlie was jus eating her food calmly waiting for him to come back.

"You look like u just saw something. " She said sarcastically.

Hykife could only look at his sister. His energy and soul was in an uproar. I KNOW HER NAME! He want to scream it out loud. Everything in him was screaming it. It seemed to ecko it . I KNOW HER NAME!

"Hykife , know your scaring me . " Marlie forwed at him.

"I'm calling dad." She pulled her phone.

"I know her name ,Marlie," He was almost whispering. Scared if he talk to loud he'd do what he want to ,and shout to top of his lungs.

Marlie jus watched her brother all goofy. he knew it could hit at any moment when the time is right. The energy has match and all that but ,that was intense.

"Jusi." He finally said aloud . Smiling from ear to ear. "I know her name." He breath.
