[15] Loneliness

Third Person's Point of View

Makino stands at the doorway to the dance room of Lyrica's house, a dazed look on her face as she eyed the girl inside gracefully doing a perfect peruette. She watched in awe, her breath hitching as the image replayed at the back of her mind.

"Tsukishima isn't here yet?" Lyrica asked, acknowledging the presence of her younger friend whose living at her house at the moment by her request. Makino was slightly startled by the sudden question and instantly shook her head, a blush creeping its way to her cheeks.

"I-I told him, I'd go to school with you today."

Lyrica was the one this time to had her eyes widen in surprise, it was actually one of the first time someone do this to her, if she don't count the part where Himitsu often picks her up before.

"I just came here to get you since everyone is already waiting downstairs." Makino continued bravely grabbing the girl by the hand and pulling her out of the room leading her to the stairs of their big house, a small smile etching on Lyrica's face as she found almost every member of the music club including Kiyoko at the living room laughing at some joke they keep pulling on each other, Senri who was the one to first recover manage to look upward only to spot the blonde girl looking at her with a close eyed smile wearing her usual attire when practicing her dance. She smiled back.

"Hurry up and get change or we'll all be late for school!" She exclaimed also catching the attention of the others who also look up to the blonde whose smiling at them and waved immediately leaving her place to her room and changed into the usual school uniform.

"Let's go? I don't want our student council president, vice president and secretary to be late because of waiting for me to doll up." She said, happiness written all over her face as she gently strode down the large stairway walking over to the circle which was waiting for her.

As they made their way out of the gates, Henry, Lyrica's butler stop in his tracks watching as his young miss laugh wholeheartedly at the conversation they are having, a smile suddenly made its way to his face, the other maids and butlers doing the same thing.

Appreciating the rare moments of Lyrica's bright smiles.

"Good morning!" Nishinoya greeted as he spotted the music club altogether going inside of the gym, a smile etched on his face upon spotting hearing them greet back but paused when he spotted the blonde walking over. Their eyes met causing Lyrica to smile.

"Hello Yuu-sama, good morning!" The girl cheerfully yet soft-spoken still greeted at the young man, a blush immediately making its way to his cheeks. Ever since the incident of Nishinoya saving her, the blonde found herself becoming closer to the guy than any of the other members of the volleyball team.

"G-good morning." He manage to stutter out, noticing the dark look he's been receiving from his team mates as the girl smiled brightly at him before taking off.

"Lyrica." The girl looked at Megumi with both confusion and curiosity upon hearing her name being called with such unusual seriousness.

"Yes?" She politely questioned back. Megumi, who was actually looking more serious than usual eyed Lyrica a bit longer before sighing.

"We need you to dance."

Lyrica didn't response for a second, her eyes widening in surprise and mouth slightly parting as she struggle for words. Her actions caused Megumi to speak further.

"Don't get us wrong, after your performance with Senri and the others, some fans figured that they miss seeing your dance which is why both Nagisa-chan and Hiyori-chan wants you to do one."

Lyrica smiled. "I now know the reason why Nagisa and Hiyori isn't around lately." She stifled a laughter upon realising how busy the two is now that the studio is back on moving. "I don't mind.  It has been a while since you guys pulled me out."

"Well, we figured that you do the practicing with us around." Lyrica who was about to walk away stopped in her tracks.

"Why?" She asked, the shaking in her voice manage to show as her eyes fell over at the volleyball boys at the court of the gym doing their early practice. "Megumi-chan, you know I don't like practicing in front of others."

"Because others might copy your dance?" Megumi questioned gently, careful that her words might create a havoc in the room. "Does the idea of being betrayed still hurt you Lyrica?"

Seeing the girls shoulder shaking was enough for Megumi to know that she hit the nail and yet, she didn't stop.

"No one's gonna do that to you---"

"THAT'S NOT IT!" Her sudden outburst surprise the entire gym, even herself and upon realising her actions, the girl made a sprint out of the gym with Megumi and Kiyoko sighing at the events and the other members of the music club that knows the event looking down at their feet.

"Hi Lyrica! I'm here to practise a dance with you!" Another blonde girl walked in to large room where Lyrica is, tying the strings of her ballet shoes as she smiled brightly at the girl who walked in.

"Beth! Hi!" Approaching the girl with her usual gentle demeanour, she held the girl's hands in hers a look of excitement over her eyes. "Have you decided the choreography for your dance yet?"

The short haired blonde girl shook her head, panic and slight disappointment written on her face. "I'm here to ask for your help since coach often labelled you as a person of Originality."

"Don't be like that." Lyrica stated, slightly flustered at the sudden compliment she received. "What if I show you what I've been practicing on? Then we'll see if you can get an idea from it."

Beth's face lit up at the offer. "Sure why not."

The crowds cheered and clap throwing flowers as the blonde girl on stage bowed down gracefully, walking over to the backstage, she stopped at the sight of Lyrica looking at her with wide eyes, a look of betrayal on her face, she smirked.

"Why Beth?" Lyrica managed to ask, after feeling the courage build up on her, she wasn't angry nor was she hurt, she was more confused. "I said get some idea not get everything."

"I'm not like you!" Beth snapped pointing out an accusing finger to Lyrica whose tears are now threatening to cascade down her face. "You think I can get an idea out of something already perfect?! Its your fault for being too trusty that you loose your spotlight!"

And with that, Beth left the backstage as Lyrica did her best to perform a different dance that she manage to compile while thinking over her friend's doing.

"See?" Beth asked with both anger and frustration mixing on her face. "Even in just a minute after I took your spotlight you still stole it from me!" She gestured over to the trophy Lyrica is holding and left the ballet house without another word.

Ever since then, Lyrica stopped doing things in front of others especially ballet. But was pulled back to the same spotlight when she met her friends.

"Lyrica-san?" Lyrica looked up from behind the tree wiping her tears in the process, hearing someone called her name immediately cut her off of her train of thoughts. "Senri-san and the others are looking all over for you. The volleyball team helped in as well."

The person didn't made any attempt to leave his current place, nor approach the girl that was surprisingly vulnerable looking in front of him.

"Y-Yuu-sama..." The girl trailed off tears once again falling to her porcelain like cheeks, Nishinoya didn't say anything else, he got the information from the music club already and it was enough for him to worry for the blonde girl. "I feel lonely."

The man's eyes soften at the girls statement, a sad smile making its way to his lips reaching out a hand for the girl to grab hold.

"Lyrica-san, let's go."

"Go where?" Lyrica's green orbs look at Nishinoya's hand for a while, watching as his smile widens.

"To the gym, so you won't have to be lonely again!" The man exclaimed with confidence and assurance that made the girl grab hold of his hand without any hesitation, pulling him over to the gym where they were greeted by the relieved look on other members face both from music and volleyball boys club, and a bright smile from Nishinoya that stop the girl in her trance.

"I know now." She mumbled just enough for her and Noya to hear which made the young 2nd year boy look at her in confusion that caused her to continue speaking. "I know what's so charming about you."

"Its because your bravery heals everything in sight." The man stop in his tracks and look at Lyrica whose already ahead and stopped to look at him with her now gentle smile. "Watch me dance okay Yuu-sama? Its for you afterall."

She then ran ahead leaping at the arms of her friends whose been hugging her tightly than usual.

'I don't feel lonely now.' She thought to herself.
