Group of Four

Mu Chaoyang noticed that Zhao Xi'er hadn't eaten much, so she personally served her food, encouraging Zhao Xi'er to eat more.

Mu Chaoyang was particularly kind to Zhao Xi'er because her first child, the older sister of Zhao Bin, was the same age as Zhao Xi'er. However, complications during pregnancy resulted in premature birth and the child was frail, ultimately passing away when she was a little over a year old. Therefore, all the love Chaoyang had been unable to give to her own child, she lavished onto Zhao Xi'er.

"Sister-in-law, I'm full," said Zhao Xi'er in a soft voice, pushing aside her chopsticks after eating only a few bites.

Wen Xiangyang couldn't help but look at Zhao Xi'er again.

Zhao Xi'er blushed upon seeing Wen Xiangyang's gaze.

Seeing Zhao Xi'er blushing again, Wen Xiangyang turned away, decided not to look again, particularly because the palm holding her hand — Mu Lingqian's — had clearly tightened.
