"You've practiced your various abilities, so now you can hold my fire shield and it couldn't hurt you," said Therius.

Emma nodded. Still, she was shocked because when she touched Therius's shoulder, her hand seemed to be burned by a hot fire.

"I want to know what did you mean by saying 'very well'?" Emma asked again after she'd pulled herself together. "Are you saying you're willing to lose to me in five years?"

Therius stared at Emma for a long time and finally nodded. "Yes. I have to keep my words. Since I lost and I have to grant your request, in five years, I will lose to you. But only if you fulfilled all your roles during these five years. Our contract is not canceled."

Emma was stunned at Therius' words.

Therius didn't protest at all or called her a cheater. He just agreed to Emma's request, even though it seemed that the man was actually not willing and he was disappointed by her. Was Therius serious?
