Finding Stardust

Therius hurriedly got rid of that thought and walked with Emma to the front of the altar. There, King Cassius, his grandfather, was waiting for them. To his left and right were six powerful mages, the king's personal bodyguards. Therius closed his eyes and breathed a sigh of relief.

There was no anti-magic shield here. He could read everyone's mind easily. After the wedding was over, he would attack the King's mind and kill him before King Cassius arrived at the royal palace. He wouldn't do it here, because then people would be suspicious.

Therius tightened his hug around Emma's waist, and they walked quietly to meet the King. The old man seemed pleased to see Therius and Emma in their beautiful wedding attire. For a moment, his thoughts drifted to the past as he remembered his son, Darius, and Arreya, were supposed to get married.
