They quickly sat apart, her hands reached up to touch her lips, he turned his face from her, he couldn't look at her right now and the next thing he heard...
"How dare you!" Sakiko yelled at him.
His eyes widened at her outburst. "How dare I? What did I do wrong? What about you? I asked you to come over to make me happy. So I could concentrate and you start crying and through some rubbish struggle you hit me and we kiss. Then you are shouting how dare I?"
"Just... Just leave me be okay!" She left him in her room and went to his room.
*In Sasuke's Room*
"Oh my God. Sasuke is really Arnold, no, no, no!" She kept the book at her back as soon as she noticed him entering the room.
"What's that behind your back? What are you hiding Sakiko?"
"Nothing really, okay? J–Just leave me alone Sasuke. Stop following me please."
"Technically it's my room you know."
She made to get up from the bed, he rushed towards her and stopped her.
"Please don't go. I'm sorry okay, please forgive me. It was a mistake that I kissed you. Sakiko please," he begged her.
"It's not the kiss that's the problem. It's just... " she sighed.
"Then what is it? Tell me so I can make it right. Let's make the best opportunity of our stay together."
"I have a favor to ask, would you be my brother? The twin I didn't have, that is between you and I?"
"Yes I would but only on the condition that you be mine, my lost sister? Please say yes."
"Yes!" she laughed.
"What?"
"It goes both ways silly. You agreeing to be my brother already means I am yours, your sister."
"Well I guess so, thanks," he said scratching his head.
"Thank you too."
They talked for a long while and later she started crying again.
"What is it this time around, Sakiko?"
"Tears of joy I guess," she said in between sobs.
"You shouldn't cry, joy should be about happiness, so be happy Sakiko."
"It's nothing Sasuke, do not bother. Now let's take a look at what Fr. Tanaka bought for us." She tried evading all possible link to the question.
She stretched her right arm and took the bag of gifts, but Sasuke snatched it from her.
"What is wrong really? Tell me now, for real I mean it. Something is definitely wrong with you."
She could feel the worry laced in his tone. He did care for her and that made it harder, she couldn't lie to him anymore.
"Okay if you want to know so badly?" Sasuke nodded at her, dignifying for her to carry on.
"Fine Sasuke, what is this?" She brought out his note and pointed at his name on the book.
"Ishida Arnold Sasuke. Why didn't you tell me?"
"I–I... "
"You made me look like a fool you know!"
"Aria, it's not like that. I am sorry. I just wanted to make sure that... "
"Make sure that you knew? I just...Well you know what brought about this? Your necklace, that's what. I found it underneath your pillow and saw a picture of myself when I was a baby in it. Mum said we both had a piece of the necklace."
"When you left the room crying, I saw the necklace sticking out and I knew you must have seen it. By the time I opened it, that's when I was fully convinced."
They just stared at each other, processing the other person's words.
"It was what I wanted to tell you when I saw you crying in your room. Even when you asked me to be your brother, I knew you already knew, but I wondered why you still weren't saying anything."
"Well, I... It was hard, I hadn't come to terms with it yet. It's still unbelieving, I wanted to ask but didn't know how to and I said that."
"By the way, take yours you exchanged it mistakenly," he said and brought out the necklace from his shorts.
"You mean I am wearing yours! Never mind." she pulled it off and gave it to him, he did same.
Her fingers played with the necklace on her neck as she gazed lovingly at it.
This necklace had brought her the brother she thought was dead. "Thanks mum," she muttered under her breath.
"Pardon?"
